Rather...interesting. Do the male summoners have to do the same thing? I feel sorry for them...

OMG, dude, I know. That'd be pretty fucked up...

Awesome fic, btw, VGSS.

I like how she's so innocent at first, but by the end, you portray Rydia as the one in control as she seeks out the monsters to summon on the Outside.

Yep, I thought of that, but I was just running out of synonmys for "phantom beast" and decided to indulge myself a little.

One of my biggest peeves is when I find myself using the same terms repeatedly. It's especially hard for certain body parts (hair, eyes, legs) without getting too fluffy. I think the slight breach of theme was worth it.

I like. :) It's well-written and enjoyable. I only have one niggle - they're not called aeons in the FFIV universe. I think canonically they can be called monsters, summoned monsters, summoned beasts, or phantom beasts. The word "aeon" isn't even mentioned once in the game - and only in FFX, at that.

Yeah, I know . I hate it when people are right :)

I just started including summaries and storycodes in the actual story text since the beginning of this year, and today went back and updated all the copies on my hard drive before re-publishing them on my new website. Unfortunately, AFF never had a "beast" tag (or I missed it), and it would a *lot* of work to go to every place I've published and edit all the stories. For the future, though, I'm taking your (and the others who've said similar) suggestion to heart.

You really should provide warnings for this. Some people don't want to read about bestiality.
