Wonderful story. I loved that it was from Rude's point of view and how well you kept to his strong, silent character. I really liked the sunglasses/shield theme. I adored Reno, not only your portrayal but Rude's perceptions of him. I even liked Elena, a rarity.
What I really liked is how true the characters remained, dangerous men in a dangerous business, and how you didn't soften or feminize either of them or the story.

Wow. That's all. Wow. That was so intense, so powerful...seriously, that was an extremely well-written piece. There's nothing else I can say to describe that. Excellent.

It was well written... you're a good author... but I just want to SCREAM PROFANITIES for the last chapter! It was WAY too depressing!
