I think you should try to keep the talky confessy stuff off for a bit... because if you did all the confessing now, it would just make it too short.
try making the chapters a little longer, or more descriptive. just a little bit more so, so you get more of a sense of imagery.
other then those few suggestions, keep what you got! It's going quite well. I wish you luck!
