The way you wrote Rufus was delightful. I especially enjoy someone whose done their research. The added "price" list was nice.

Excellent, really. The detail and the detatchment v involvement of Rufus' thoughts. He's trying to be cold, like he really doesn't care, but you can tell he needs Reno, and I loved it. Every second. Beautifully crafted. *applauds*

I was just talking to a friend on the phone, telling her I'd read this really, really great RufusxReno story, (this one, of course) and how I couldn't believe I liked it so much, because I typically despise this pairing. I clicked on this last night, sure my reaction would be, 'Oh hell, here we go again.' But this is fantastic. The characterization is wonderful. Rufus constantly making little mental notes of how much his stuff cost was beyond perfect, and your Reno is exactly how I envision him. It was a wonderful read. And that's saying a lot coming from someone who used to be a devout Rufus hater! ...Advent Children changed my ways. ;)

Nice atmosphere here, contrasting Rufus's luxury with Reno's rough edges. Just be careful with your fourth wall -- it's jarring to read about Cuban cigars and Chinese crystal when Cuba and China don't exist in the FF7 universe.

I loved the way Rufus kept putting emphasis on how much everything cost. It made me giggle :) heehee

I don't think I've ever read Rufus so perfectly characterized. I loved how he'd randomly pause to mention how much a given possession cost -- I can see him doing that.
I've read some good Reno's in my day, and yours is right up there. I wholeheartedly believe that's exactly how he'd act around Rufus.
The interaction between the two of them was spectacular. Pretty hawt, too. ;)

That was, I believe, one of the most fabulously-written FFVII fics I have ever had the pleasure to read. In-character, in-depth, and very sexy, it carried me from beginning to end in a complete state of bliss. Bravo. =)
