I've never tried mixing romance and sex. Well I did once, and it became a very popular Harry/Hermione story on HPFF. But the thing is, this is the SECOND sex scene I've written in over a year. I wrote all 15 pages in one sitting, and by the time I got to the sex I was tired as hell but I knew that if I didn't finish it then I wouldn't be in the mood to for at least another week or two.

I tried my best to put these two's feelings for each other into the mix, not wanting them to just fuck like rabbit and that's it. Besides, it's not over yet, do you judge a porn that's only had a fingering scene so far? No, that's stupid. As I get more into this story, my familiarity will come back and it won't be so "tasteless".

Then my advice to you is don't write when your tired. If you have to wait a week or two before you're 'in the mood' again then so be it. Your writing won't suffer so badly then.

Yunie, I'm not going to pull all the stops for a single discontented reader who somehow thinks my writing is tasteless. But seeing as every reader is important to me, I'll make sure the next part isn't so tasteless.

I find it funny that you whine about there being no "quality sex" on aff.net and that you're going to change that... then you write cheap, tasteless porn filled to the brim with clichés and jargon all squished into nearly unreadable chunks of text. If you're going to get all high and mighty with people you might want to first make sure you're as good as you think you are.
