I just re-read it all the way back through again and really...I still can't get over how brilliantly plotted, planned, and put together this story was. Rufus's epilogue was a fine touch. A positively wicked little cherry to top off such a sweet, lovely fic.
Oh to be a fly on the wall during Rufus's little celebration...oh and for Reno's little "report" after his three-day vacation. Hehe...

I love how Rufus is so devious. Wonderful job with this story, but I was sad to see it end. I am hoping to see more works from you in the future. More Reno/Cloud if possible.
You're one of my favorite authors with this pairing. You can manage to write a love story between them, and keep them IC. Beautiful, amazing, fantasic...I could go on, but I won't. Keep up the good work!
*Hugs*

I *love* this story! Totally and completely! The twists and turns in it are beautiful and the characters are believable, right to the very end. *grins* Are you going to write a sequel to this or is this it?

Great epilogue! Heh, Puppetmaster!Rufus. I liked how you brought out his need and desire for control - also, apart from his controlling side, his softer, protective side as a leader/employer. He has an interesting blend of taking interest and meddling with fate, as well as stepping back and letting nature take its course. Heh.
Reading this epilogue I found myself highlighting lines depicting his character. Here are some of my faves:-
Watching what people were doing in his building and observing all of the locations his cameras watched were two of his favorite things to do.
...
Without looking up, Rufus turned another page in the report, holding it up in the air as if trying to decide if he wanted to actually turn to the next page or not...
...
Hm,” Rufus said, trying to look indignant, “You’d better go before I change my mind.”
...
He could sense Reno’s hesitation; something about that made him feel good, despite the fact that on the surface this was just an employer giving an employee a short paid vacation. Rufus’ mind filled with the entertainment possibilities that Reno might be opening up for him and it took every ounce of self control he had not to show just how pleased with the situation he really was.
...
The old man should have known better than to have tried to isolate his ruthless son, because it only made Rufus more determined to get what he wanted. Rufus had little faith in money anyway, it only made things a little easier. There were much better ways to go about getting things done.
I also liked this line about Reno:-
Rufus had seen the red-head dressed in his company issued suit, strolling past some of his favorite security cameras.
I could just picture him doing that. LOL!
Well done, Sterling! Congrats on a great story! :D

So beautiful...and kinky. Sex in a hospital bed. Loved it. I'm going to be sad to see this story end. It's one of favorites here on AFF right now. I'll be looking forward to the epilogue. Once again, great job Sterling.

I'm still really quite breathless over this chapter and how happy it makes me. Seriously, joyously happy to know that I'm not fucking alone in my insane concepts of Reno and Cloud capable of being in love with each other.
Vulcan mind-meld moment #327: Reno laughed when he came (among other things) and I was instantly, deja-vu reminded of part of "SB" which noted the same sort of thing (it's in Chapter 6, I think).
*cues the "Twilight Zone" music*
