I really loved this chapter. A little excitement is always fun to read. You got me wondering what the hell is going on. Glad to hear there is going to be some more Reno and Cloud time in the next two chappies. I love your writing style by the way.

Reno would just consider it payment for the half hour nap.

Haha. I love that line. I love your portrayal of Reno - an asshole, but a lovable, charming asshole. Heh. That's how I picture him, too. Also, Cloud as the "little boy hero". LOL! Great stuff I can't wait for more!!!!!! :D :D :D

Okay!! I thought I should organize my thoughts before writing this, but hell I'll just write one now and maybe write another one later. I didn't review the previous chapter because it seemed like a bridge to me, but I'll say right now that the writing flows nicely as usual and keeps people interested in the plot.

As for this chapter, I loved it! When it comes to RenoxCloud, my gut intuition tells me that it's likely to be mostly a spontaneous, physical thing (heh, heh) - and that is indeed how most RenoxCloud stuff is written. That said, I have to say that this: I just LOVE how you deal with CloudxTifa here. The loneliness, and the need to connect with another human being in some small way, but the fact that the act somehow isolates them further. Ah! Human complexities: I love it. The way you write it is so subtle but believable.

And, of course, the thoughtfulness that is going into the CloudxReno relationship. That's why I didn't leave a deeper review on the first chapter, I really wanted to see how you would deal with the emotional aspect of it because it was clear this fic would be dealing with that and not only the physical aspect. This is the best serious RenoxCloud I have read so far. Please keep up the great writing! I'm loving where this is going and can't wait for the plot to thicken! The lingering air of conspiracy is also keeping me hooked. Yesssssssss morrre please!!!!!

I love the storyline you're building. Makes for a interesting read. The relationship between Tifa and Cloud you touched on was kinda sad to me. It makes me feel bad for them both. Beautifully written, just like your previous chapters.

I'm very pleased with the way you're treating the Tifa albotross. I think that works, even if I'm a little surprised by her being so sexually forward. Actually...it almost reads as desperation. I mean, if Cloud is hearing everyone's assumptions on their relationship, no doubt Tifa is too. Perhaps it...hmm...loosens her inhibitions? Makes her think that perhaps it's a little true until morning.

I liked the bit with Vin. He of all people would definitely be the first to be able to cope with Shinra's turnaround and I liked the suggestion that Cloud might not have been having such a strong reaction to the information if he hadn't just been making out with Reno.

Aww...but the Rufus muse is so much fun! Don't worry, I'll have Reno...entertain him for a little while.

Rufus is naughty, and sexy as hell. Hmmm, what did he do to Tseng? I could use my imagination on that one. I love where this story is going. Smut is a lot better when there is a good storyline with it. I was so glad when I saw you updated. Another week wait for another? Keep it up.

Shinra intruige! Ooohh...

Oddly, the whole Tseng/Rufus thing reminded me of a silly little snippet of mock-dialogue I wrote in regards to the couple once. I've always been fond of the idea, but for some reason never could get far enough into Tseng's head to make it workable. I can't wait to see where you take that (partially because Tseng's reaction amused me to know particular end. We're sharing headspace again....).

Rufus's perverse reaction to the scene of Cloud and Reno kissing was beautifully done, by the way. Subtle and somewhat understated, yet it spoke volumes. Hehe. More spookiness came from the idea of Rufus living vicariously through Reno. I actually had a fic in mind that was going to explore that, with Reno spilling explicit details about an affair with Cloud. XD

Damn, the plot thickens. I can't wait for more.

Oooh, awesomeness! I love this story! A lot. It's sooo cute. But here...I'll say something intelligent now. I found Cloud's shyness but eagerness for friendship absolutely adorable. And it was great how he wasn't even sure if he wanted anything more from Reno, but found himself asking for it just the same. Love doesn't need to think, right?
You've done a pretty good job of keeping Reno in character, but I'd like to see more of an explanation of how his infatuation with Cloud developed. It seems kind of sudden and random although it's supposedly lasted for years. And at the end of the last chapter Cloud mentions that it feels good to be wanted, but we're not sure if he means that it feels good to be wanted by Reno in particular or if it would feel good to be wanted by anyone, since he feels emotionally neglected. Was that lack of clarity intentional, signifying further exploration of Cloud's psyche in later chapters? Just wondering.
Anywho, you're such a clever writer. Why are you so smart? It makes me love you so much. ^_^ Blah, blah, blah. I'm so tired, I'm amazed I managed to review this. I'll stop talking now...after making one heartfelt plea--update soon! I beg of you!
Ciao.
