Unexplicable lack of this pairing. I saw it right away when I played the game. I can't understand the prevalence of Balthier/Vaan over Basch/Vaan. But then, Balthier/Fran is my crack, so.
Anyway, my point is: cool story. ^_^;

as standard as the fic might seem, this is the pairing i have been waiting for... it's done very well...jeez...i didn't expect the whole consent thing to be a problem but since it was basch's "honor bound" trait that caused it, i think it just makes it suitable for that piece of fiction...

Usually Basch/Vaan isn't one of my favorite pairings, but I really enjoyed this fic. Despite some spelling errors it was well written and had good imagery. There's only one thing I'm confused about. Did Vaan willingly drug himself or was he just acting, making Basch think he'd been drugged?
