Interesting take, I like the tenshions between the members but there is one major mistake I saw between the first two chapters; Cid. In the first chapter you have him as a party member and aparently he's been in the group for a while but then you have them meeting Cid for the first time in Rocket Town.

Yay! Vincent/Tifa goodness! Seriously though, you have a good concept going here, and decent writing skills too. I like the descriptive detail so far, and you put a bit of humour too. I like how you try to get into the minds of your characters. I'm definitely going to keep my eye on this fic. I think I'll review all the chapters up so far.
Don't think I've ever seen Barrett smoking in a fic before... makes sense now that I think about it... maybe he smokes when he's not near Marlene? I just don't see him smoking around her... then again, he swears around her I'm sure...
Was a bit confused over the chronology when you mentioned the fight scene... Tifa goes to the basement with the others, then they fight the boss? I'm sure the got the Odin materia and the key after the boss battle in the room with the safe. Or was it some random monster that was mentioned? ~shrug~
The quarrel over Vincent's coffin was priceless! "I found treasure!" and "What's wrong with my hair?" rofl
Not to mention how Tifa fought to keep them away! Who really in their right mind would be so eager to open the coffin of one of Hojo's experiments? Good thing Vincent's so darned good looking!
What? Sephiroth raped Tifa?!?! That bastard!!! (Cloud is such a retard for leaving her to run off after seeing her like that, not like I ever liked him much anyways, him or his slum ho)
Ah, a bit more of AU since Tifa went to the lab... ~shudder~ Her life thus far really sucked in this universe.

First they're sleeping together (probably) and then they're picking on Tifa. What are they anyhow, Freddy and Daphne?
A little girl's piggy bank... that's harsh Tifa... way to go!
Chaos' mind is so warped... I'm not surprised to find out that Vincent overheard what happened though.
Wait... Cid was already in the party (he was in Tifa's group in chapter 1) I'm so confused:S
