I wonder what Aerith has to fear; even a moody Seph can't take the news that bad, since her getting pregnant was half anticipated from the start. If not, time for the happy couple to invest in better birth control. Considering his virility, she could be having babies back to back till menopause. :o

Oh, thanks for clearing that up about Cloud, I remember reading in PTB that Tifa was his girlfriend, I didn't know it had changed. That's good; I agree that Barret is more capable. Not the best role model for certain, but he is a good father. That much we know. Cloud on the other hand... eh... too many issues...

Ranna, Cloud will be okay. Sephy won't hurt him. Don't really look for Cloud/Sephiroth slash in this fic. I'll do something else for that later, I swear. Thanks for the R&R!

I'm gonna stick with this fig regardless of whose POV it's in. I was hoping for some more Aeriseph action because I'm a big sucker for that pairing. Never been much of a Yaoi girl myself... not sure why though. I just prefer Het couplings.

I do agree that the Japanese voice for Hojo is more bearable, but I've come to expect that. The original voices usually out do the dubs. In any case, I can't really complain about the job that Paul Eiding does. I think he fits Hojo's character well... even if the result is unpleasant.

So Aerith is pregnant now, and Tifa too, right? I remember there being something about pregnancy symptoms in one of the early chapters. Damn, she'll have it bad now that Cloud is coming out of the closet. She needs to find herself a more capable man, one without all the angst drama. -_-;;

Being insanely attracted to Sephiroth screws Cloud up. Why am I n ot surprised?

Regular romance sucks. It's so hard to manage and you never know if you've got a psycho on your hands. But with Hojo, you know what you're getting into. Well, sorta.

I just finished reading PTB last night, I can't remember the last time I read a fic that long without losing interest; you're amazing! I'm also thrilled to find you have a sequel up so soon. I can't wait to read more - one question though, are you going to write any from Sephiroth's POV? Usually that disinterest me, but you have a wonderful way of characterizing his first person, I love it! Plus, it means more Aeriseph lemony goodness. *snickers*

Yeah, Hojo, I'm gonna admit he's not my favorite character. Though now that I think about it, I didn't mind him till I played DoC. Must have been his voice, I was muting my TV every time he came on. O_O

Ranna, yeah, regular romance is a bit formulaic. Boy meets girl, girl and boy fall in love, they have a break up and a reunite. Done. And, people like that most of the time. Honestly, I think a lot of what gets published these days is the sort of shit you don't care if you leave the novel on the airplane by accident.

DS, Thanks for the review on Paper Tiger Burning. That was one of my bigger fics, which took effort to keep semi-tight. As for keeping in Seph's POV, Pater Familias is in Hojo's POV, and, eventually, Sakura's as well. If you want more Seph, I do have a slash fic with him and Cloud called Mastered Materia. And, I'll eventually do another Seph-centric fic.

Hojo is not popular with a lot of people. The stereotype of the mad scientist is usually enough to keep people from getting into him. Aside from that, his culpability in canon is unpleasant. Still, I love the underplayed underdog. Try to stick with this fic and you might find yourself liking him a little more. Maybe not. He gets violent.

BTW, the original voice actor for Hojo in DoC is a lot better. Nachi Nozawa was Vexen in Kingdom Hearts and Shido in Devil May Cry, amoung many other roles. The English speaking audience got treated to a loony version, because we expect that of our mad scientists...
