This story’s ‘round about round’ plot is that Sephiroth and Cloud finally discover their feelings for each other -with interesting results- since I have always believed that during the beginning of the game they seemed to flirt with each other and then suddenly it stops as if something happen between them…I’ll leave you to understand…

Chapter 1:

You could hear the soft yet gentle patter of the rain as it fell gracefully to the cobbled roads, the ruby sunset was falling upon the snow-crested mountains that surrounded Nibelheim. A caressing breeze whispered around the petit village and seemed to murmur sweet nothings to the rains invisible ears. Like two lovers telling each other their secrets, meeting as if in total peace and tranquillity.
Yet as a dark silhouetted man watched with pure envy, he felt once again that tinge of loneliness. He had waited too long for a partner to be at his side, to warm him during these long, cold winter nights. Why couldn’t he be like the wind and the rain and be cuddled up next to his favourite somebody that night, not just his hot water bottle.
Silent tears rolled down his pale cheeks and kissed his quivering lips as he welled with the most tormenting depression. His aqua eyes tinted with a reddish glow, he knew it was time to go to sleep but he couldn’t bear one more night alone in this decaying mansion.
During a fit full sleep a loud thundering on the mansions front door awakened him. The once gently rain had brewed into a raging storm, he slowly climbed out of his velvet-draped bed and swayed down the monstrous staircase.

“Who could be out in this weather, let alone at this time?” He murmured groggily, once taking a quick glance at the grandfather clock standing, smothered in cobwebs, in the corner. There it was again an eerie banging at the door that grew weaker with every knock. It stopped suddenly…
Sephiroth took a step forward not sure whether to opening the door or not. He decided he’d better check either way. The door echoed a grinding screech as he eased it open and he stared at the familiar figure huddled on the already saturated ground.
“Help…Me…” The recognizable voice made Sephiroth take a closer look at the pile of rags on the floor.
“Cloud?” It was his ex-Soldier teammate. He took the surprisingly light figure into his arms and carried him upstairs to one of the many bedrooms. Sephiroth laid him onto one of the single beds across from his own room and removed Clouds soiled rags. He looked dreadful, so pale and sickly; he must have been outside for hours. Sephiroth quickly dressed Cloud in clean clothes and tucked him into the bed. He needed sleep and a hot water bottle. He quickly ran down the stair into his kitchen to fetch the water bottle and a bowl of cool water. Cloud had become feverish.
Throughout most of the night Sephiroth tended to Cloud but as soon as the dawn had slowly crept across the sky he had fallen asleep.
He was awoken by Cloud sudden shout, he opening his eyes and looked straight into the clearest blue eyes he had every seen, so beautiful.
Clouds fever had broken and was now looking into his old friends eyes, he could recognize their unusual colour within seconds. He felt dazed but strangely felt the need to run. He had remembered that they where now enemies. He jerked up and gave a startled shout. He could only remember getting almost killed by a dragon…just like before…
“I thought it was you…” Sephiroth voice grew cold and icy towards Cloud he was finding his unbearable urge to kiss Clouds lustrous, petal like lips was like a fire burning inside him.
Cloud had expected the coldness yet something seemed different he hadn’t seen Sephiroth for a couple of years now. He knew they left off as rivals.
He hadn’t got the faintest idea that Sephiroth had always felt attracted to the blond, blue-eyed beauty. He had made Sephiroth have many pain staking nights trying to ignore those feelings yet here he was sleeping in a bed in his house. Oh the memories where flooding back he wondered if he could keep them this time…
Cloud suddenly jumped up, he seemed to have picked up a case of amnesia a long side his bump on the head.
“What am I doing here where have my team-mates gone? What have you done to them!!” He screamed at Sephiroth and jumped out of the bed and faced him. Oblivious to the height difference, he looked him straight in his aqua blue eyes and demanded an explanation.
“How the hell would I know you idiot!! You’re the one who turned up on my doorstep!” Sephiroth was enjoying this argument a little too much for his own good and smirked.
The sound of someone shouting soon stopped the heating argument. They both stopped still and listened to the group of voices coming closer.
“Cloud…CLOUDDDD!!!! Where the hell do you think he ran off too?” Vincent’s voice echoed through the mansion.
“Why did he run off anyway, I know his been screaming in his sleep lately? I think his been having those dreams about Hojo again?” Maybe his run off to the Mansion again?” Red had always slept close to Cloud as he could feel the confusion he had to go through and was always there like a best friend should.
“We should go inside and check he hasn’t got a fever like last time?” he continued.
“B-B-B-B-but…R-Red you k-k-know how I f-f-feel about that p-place!!” Vincent stuttered in panic as he was hit by his horrific memories of being tortured in the very same house. Red near how much the mansion affected Vincent and decided to leave it for the day until the other got back tomorrow. They soon left and set off back to their camp.

Aww sorry to leave you guys hanging with nothing really to hang onto but trust me I’ve started to write the next chapter and it’s looking much better. Hehe a lot more fun to write then describing what happens before hand right…Hope to hear replies on what you think!!!!
