*Note of slight changes: Oh, its been a while since I’ve looked at this story, but after a bit of nostalgic game play I’ve acquired some inspiration back. I’ve recently had a re-read, fixed the typos and tried to enhance the action and the sexy bits. I‘m also working on another chapter… so bear with me for that.*

I’m always trying to improve, so any comments that are left will be greatly appreciated.

There’s always a choice, you just don’t get one

I yanked his head back, holding a fistful of his hair and rolled my eyes with irritation. “Are you finished yet?”

He shook his head violently and leaned forward, continuing to vomit the putrid substance from his mouth. He was such an idiot, he really was. What kind of moron drinks aftershave for the alcohol content? He’d drank himself stupid for the second time this week and ran out of booze in the process. The people I have to work with.

“Reno, you brainless fool! You’re lucky I stopped by. You could have killed yourself! What on earth were you thinking?”

He lifted up his head and smiled at me vacantly. Vomit was now slowly trickling down his chin. I reached over and took a large quantity of toilet paper from the roll on the wall. Ripping off the first few layers, I yanked his head backwards and began wiping the fluid from around his mouth.

“You are such a child sometimes, Reno. I don’t know why I put up with this ridiculous behaviour of yours.”

“Coz you…lurv me really” He managed to slur. Giggling in a high pitched tone his eyes suddenly widened as his hands covered his mouth; warm moisture started seeping between his fingers. I thrust his head forwards into the toilet bowl. He once again resumed losing the remaining extracts of his evening’s digestion. Oh, for goodness sake!

Releasing the hold on his hair, his head flopped lazily forwards and disappeared within the porcelain basin. I stood up and left him to it. I had no intention of spending my night watching him choke up his internal organs. I had better things to do with my time.

“Tseng, don’t go.” I heard him whimper loudly from behind.

I exhaled a groan and looked down, feeling a slight tugging on my trouser leg. “Are you quite finished now?”

He nodded and wiped his moistened mouth onto his jacket sleeve. Using the rim of the toilet to push himself up from the floor, he wobbled on the spot slightly, swaying as he tried to approach me. He stumbled suddenly as his legs refused to comply and collapsed ungracefully against the wall.

I wasn’t in the mood for this, I really wasn’t. I’d had to endure his unprofessional behaviour twice this week. Once had been enough, I’d sympathized with him the first time. This re-enactment of previous activity was taking it too far!

“Reno, get a hold of yourself!” I clamped my hand around his upper arm and pulled him to his feet. He fell forwards into me, applying all of his weight against my chest. Luckily, he was of small build and little frame compared to myself, so I had no difficulties in supporting him. I pushed him upright again, removing my hands, and watched him flop heavily face first down to the floor.

I groaned with frustration, rolling my eyes. The things I have to put up with.

Leaning down, I took hold of his ankle, dragging him hastily out of the bathroom. “I’m not carrying you, Reno. Not this time. I might have been foolish enough to do it before. This time, you’ll get no compassion from me.”

“Awww, Tseng. You’re so mean to me…” Reno’s face brushed along the carpet as I pulled him across the floor. His taunts were thankfully muffled by the fibres. I swear Reno, one day I will lose my patience with you.

I opened the bedroom door and hauled his limp body inside. I left him propped up by the end of the bed while I devised a course of action. “Get undressed and out of those stained clothes, I’ll sort out something to sober you up. This absurd behaviour, Reno has got to stop!”

He lolled his head forwards; his chin was now resting against his chest. He was far too drunk to lift it to reply. He couldn’t even open his eyes. It’s lucky that I have a high tolerance level, or I’d have beaten him senseless by now.

I made my way towards his kitchen and started hunting for something to use. All that greeted me were empty booze bottles and other ineffectual food packaging. The cupboards were also empty, not even a trace of…oh wait, he had coffee? That would do. I’ll replenish his fluids with water, sober him up with the coffee, then sleep would do the rest. I picked up the container. The jar was still factory sealed, never even been opened. I removed the plastic lid and stabbed the seal with a spoon. I’d found it lying on the floor. It still remained stained after being rinsed several times under the tap. This man obviously has never heard of suds.

All I needed now was a clean mug and some milk. Those items were both a rare commodity in this sorry excuse for a residence. How anyone can live in this disorderly filth is beyond me. I had to settle with a pint glass and the coffee would have to remain black. I did find some milk in his fridge, but the smell wasn’t quite trustworthy. He’d already been sick enough tonight; I didn’t want to trigger his stomach off again.

I stomped back through to the bedroom and brushed off the clutter from the desk. The mess made its way to the floor and covered it completely. Not that it made much of a difference to this already chaotic apartment. Depositing the steaming pint glass onto the now clear surface, I turned my attention back to Reno. He’d fallen onto his side and was now snoring noisily into the rug; completely oblivious to my presence. I gripped hold of his shirt and yanked him up to his feet, shaking him vigorously back to his senses. He groaned, dribbling over his shirt as his head drooped forward once more.

“Reno, wake up. Don’t make me slap you!” I shook him again and he whined in protest. Obviously unable to stand for himself I threw him forcefully onto the bed. He hit the mattress with a moan, completely sprawled out on the sheets.

“Reno, I told you I wasn’t standing for this any longer. If I find you in this state again I will be taking action against you!”

He snuggled himself up against the bed covers and started to drool happily again. He was completely ignoring my threats…for a change. I took a deep breath to calm myself and surveyed him once more before I left. “Next time, I’m leaving you on the bathroom floor. I’ll show you no consideration again.”

As I turned to leave, my wrist was grabbed and pulled back with mild force. I glanced over my shoulder. Reno was looking at me with innocence in his eyes.

“Don’t leave me, Tseng.”

I pulled my arm away and stared at him sternly. “That won’t work, Reno. You’re drunk. You have no idea what you are doing. I’m leaving now before you make a complete IDIOT of yourself…again!”

He rose to his knees and lunged for me. Wrapping his arms around my neck, his weight caught me off balance and knocked us both down to the floor. I ended up on my back with Reno on top. Warm drool was now trickling down my neck.

“Reno, get off of me.”

He groaned from above me and nuzzled his face comfortably against my neck.

“RENO, I WON’T TELL YOU AGAIN!”

It wasn’t just drool this time; his tongue had found my throat. Licking it lightly, his hands gripped at my shirt, un-tucking it from my trousers and sliding slowly beneath the material. I snarled and shoved him upwards, pushing him off of my chest and rolling him back onto the floor. Oh for god’s sake! Why must everyone come onto me when they are drunk?

“…Tseng?”

Turning my head, I glared at him. “WHAT?” I growled.

“…Set the alarm?” he giggled before passing out for the night.

***

I shook my head with disapproval, throwing the file down onto my desk. “I required your assistance for an assignment, Reno, and I found you in that unacceptable state. You can’t allow your personal life to affect your job. This should be common knowledge by now!”

“I know.” He sighed. “I was pissed off and needed a drink.”

“Drinking cosmetic fragrances is not advised for relieving stress. Reno, you could have done yourself serious damage last night. Anything could have happened. If I hadn’t turned up to see where the hell you were, you could have killed yourself. I never want to find you in that condition ever again. Understood?”

He exhaled his obvious annoyance and flicked his hair out of his eyes. “Yeah-yeah.”

I glared at him, his attitude was really starting to try my patience. He goes out of his way to annoy me!

“Reno, leave your binge drinking sessions until the weekend and make sure that you are not required to be in work the following morning. And next time, actually try consuming drinking alcohol and not the contents of your aftershave bottle. This is the last time that I’m willing to caution you.”

He smirked at me lazily, followed by a mocking salute. He rose to his feet, kicking his now unoccupied chair back under the desk. “It’ll never happen again.”

I crossed my arms over my chest and continued my undisrupted glare. “Make sure that it doesn’t.”

Just as he left the office, my extension started to ring. With a deep breath, I reached over to relieve it from the cradle, brining it up to my ear.

“What?”

“Tseng, cancel your weekend activities. Your assistance is required.”

I coughed involuntary, changing my previous agitated tone. “Oh, of course, Heidegger. Sir, may I ask for what reason?”

“Just be at the heliport in Junon after your shift. Bring a travel bag. You’ll be staying the night.”

***

Throwing my bag over my shoulder, I advanced towards the helicopter where Heidegger was nervously waiting. President Rufus suddenly stuck his head out of the open aircraft door, his tone was obviously irritated. “What is taking so long, Heidegger? Hurry up!”

“I’m so sorry for the delay, Mr. President.” Heidegger wheezed, glancing over to the sound of my bag slipping from my shoulder and hitting the ground by my feet. “Oh Tseng, you’re here. It’s ok, Mr. President. We’re ready to go now, Sir.”

“Tseng, what’s he doing here? Heidegger, explain!” Rufus snarled, eyeing me coldly from the confines of the vehicle. Judging from his already uneasy manner and anxious attitude, he really wasn’t in the best of moods.

“I thought you could do with a little extra protection, Sir. I was only thinking of your safety.” Heidegger smiled tensely, taking hold of my bag and gesturing me to board.

“Heidegger, I do not need or desire his help. Now get in this helicopter immediately. We should have taken off fifteen minutes ago. We’re going to be late!”

“Mr. President, it would be a lot more beneficial if Tseng were to accompany us. In case of any unexpected circumstances.” Heidegger pleaded, looking to me for support.

“WHATEVER. JUST STOP WASTING TIME AND GET IN THE DAMN HELICOPTER!”

Heidegger flinched at the sound of the young president’s voice. He’d always found Rufus to be rather intimidating. He wasn’t the only one. Rufus wasn’t the type of man you wanted to provoke.

The president disappeared back inside the helicopter and with a sigh Heidegger motioned me to follow.

***

The helicopter journey was tedious. It was mainly silence that dominated the air. I glanced over to Rufus. He was clearly angered by my presence onboard; not once had he stopped glaring since take off. We hadn’t actually seen ‘eye to eye’ over the past couple of months. He’d not quite forgiven me for the incident that happened between us. We’d never spoken of the matter since. I think Heidegger could sense the tension in the air; he tried several times to break the silence.

“We’re making very good time, Sir. At this rate, I think we’ll only be twenty minutes behind schedule.”

“Well, we wouldn’t be behind schedule if we didn’t have to wait for someone.” Rufus scowled in my general direction; his eyes were so narrowed that they were practically closed. I averted my sight towards the helicopter window and stared at the scenery as it passed.

“It’s fine, Sir. We catered for delays. You’ll be meeting with the supplier at eight, which gives us plenty of time to settle after we land.”

“I don’t like delays, Heidegger. And I definitely don’t like being kept in the dark. Next time you decide to make a decision, make sure you run it past me first.” Rufus snarled as he shifted in his seat, displaying evident signs of annoyance. Well, if it’s any consolation, Rufus, I had no idea that I would be graced with your presence either.

***

The helicopter landed and we arrived at the coast. The cool breeze hit my face instantly as we dismounted the aircraft; it made a refreshing change from the polluted air of the city. There was transport parked and ready for our arrival, and hired help waiting to load up our possessions.

Again on the way to the hotel the journey was completely wordless, the noise of the engine a blessing from the strained lack of communication- which was now clearly getting to Heidegger.

“What would Sir prefer to do once we arrive?”

Rufus removed his sight from the window and glared angrily into Heidegger’s nervous eyes. Giving off the impression that silence was preferred, Heidegger shut up completely.

***

The meeting had been successful. We’d managed to convince the suppliers to submit to our enormous requirements- on half of the settlement price that was originally agreed. All thanks to Rufus and his unconquerable charm. I suppose he’s got a face people just can’t refuse. That and the fact going against Shin-Ra wasn’t exactly a logical strategy, as others will tell you from past experience.

The president was in a celebratory mood. He’d just saved the company a considerable amount of Gil and was delighting in the pleasures of alcohol that resided as compliments of the hotel. On the rational reasonings of Heidegger, Rufus had reluctantly conformed to stay in his room. We had another dealing to attend in the morning and Heidegger thought it best to keep our profiles discreet. Rufus wasn’t at all happy at being confined to just the hotel suite; he doesn’t take fondly to orders from others. It was getting late, and ended up being just Rufus and myself after Heidegger decided to turn in for the night. We were sat on the balcony of Rufus’ suite, overlooking the coastal boarder. The atmosphere was rather tense, but the alcohol was soothing the mood. It soon loosened him up and the conversation started flowing quite fluently.

“You know what, Tseng. You’re growing on me. I don’t find you as irritating as I used to.”

I nodded in reply. I thought it best to agree with his…somewhat, complimentary comment.

“You keep your mouth shut, and that’s a good thing. I hate it when people talk. They don’t know when to shut up. The way people…make you listen to their boring existence. How they are so hard done by and how life is so difficult. I mean, I don’t give a shit about anyone else. Why the fuck should I care? It gets right on my fucking nerves.”

I nodded again. He was drunk. It was obviously the alcohol talking now, he never usually swore like this.

“Talking all the fucking time, repeating themselves over and over again. Trying to get your sympathy...I’m sick of it. Tseng, say something!”

I raised an eyebrow as I spoke. “Such as?”

“Anything, all you do is sit there in silence. It’s like you’re not even listening to me. Am I boring you?”

“No. I don’t find you boring, not at all, Sir.” I smiled.

“Then say something. Just stop with the constant depressing silence- it’s pissing me off!”

I opened my mouth to speak, but I was cut off suddenly by Rufus’ volume as he slammed the bottle in his hand down against the table.

“Tseng, it’s empty.”

“Don’t you think you’ve had enough, Sir?” I asked outspokenly, gaining a glare from my concerned appeal. Rufus didn’t take kindly to proposals that conflicted with his requests. I thought it best to change the subject.

“It’s getting rather late, Sir. We have that meeting tomorrow. I think it might be best if you called it a night.”

Rufus raised his arm to his face, pulling back his sleeve, he squinted to read the time. I couldn’t help but smile, his watch was right under his nose and he still had problems trying to focus on the display. He fell back against the chair and yawned. “I’ll go to bed in a minute.”

“I’ll come and collect you with Heidegger in the morning then, Sir?”

He waved his hand lazily as he leaned forwards to rest his head against the patio table. “Fine-fine.”

“Would you like me to see you inside, Sir?”

He looked up from the table; his eyes were heavy and his face was pale with exhaustion. “No, Tseng. I’m perfectly capable of walking through a door by myself.”

I lowered my head respectably and rose to my feet. “I’ll bid you goodnight then, Sir.”

I tucked my chair back under the table, turning my attention to sliding open the glass patio doors. Glancing back over my shoulder to watch him, I smiled as he stirred. He’ll be fine.

Walking through the darkened hotel suite, I made my way towards the hall. Slipping my feet within my discarded shoes, I reached out for the handle of the room entrance and turned it slowly in my hand. Just as I managed to partially open the door, it slammed suddenly closed. I tried it once more, but it refused to dislodge. I looked down, seeing a boot placed flatly against the door; applying force to keep it shut.

“Tseng, we have a problem.”

I turned around instinctively, to find Rufus stood right behind me.

“Is everything alright, Sir?” I questioned, slightly startled by his sudden appearance.

“No, Tseng. Its not.”

He removed his foot from the door and walked forwards to study me. I watched him with caution. I wondered when this would surface. The sudden change in character was rather unexpected. He had been disturbingly nice to me since we got back, I knew it wouldn’t last. I readied myself for the onslaught. It’s been obvious he’s had something to get off his chest. He made that pretty clear in the helicopter journey here.

“I’ve been sat outside with you all night…waiting. Now you’ve decided to leave? Well, I can’t allow that, Tseng.”

I raised an eyebrow with intrigue. “And why not?”

“Because, if I allowed that, I would be losing my evening’s entertainment.”

I paused, looking confused. “Sir…I don’t quite understand.”

“Tseng, don’t try and pretend you have no idea of what I am talking about. You know exactly what I mean.”

“No Sir, I don’t…” I had no idea. Was he being serious?

He shook his head playfully and took hold of the zipper on my suit jacket. Looking up with a smile of suggestion, he began easing it down my coat. Rufus, don’t do this…please don’t.

“Sir, you made it perfectly clear that you had no intentions of pursuing that any further.”

“That was before…this is now.” He stated coldly, looking up to me with narrowed eyes.

“Sir, you’re drunk.”

“That’s never stopped you in the past.” He smirked, releasing my now open jacket and advancing himself closer.

I backed up against the door as far as I could go, but he now had me pinned in place. He took hold of my tie, wrapping it around his hand; gripping it firmly within his fingers. With a sharp tug, I was yanked forwards. Trying desperately to keep my stance, he slipped his free hand behind my head. My face was brought to his. I met with his lips and he forced them to open. I tried to pull away, but he had hold of my tie, strangling me to oblige. After he finally withdrew I stared at him in shock, watching as he licked his ravenous lips.

“You’ll regret it, Sir. Please, don’t make me do this.”

“I’m not making you do anything, Tseng. I’m ordering you to. Now, you can either comply and make me happy. Or defy me and make me angry. Either way, I’ll get what I want. My mood just depends on you.”

I stood in silence, still backed up against the door. His hand had left my head, moving slowly down past my chest. His fingers began tracing over the buckle of my belt.

“So, what’s it to be, Tseng? Are you going to make me happy, meaning… I’ll be nice to you. Maybe even gentle. Or are you going to make me angry which will result in something much more aggressive. It’s your decision.”

“Sir, you aren’t thinking straight. You’re not in the right frame of mind to be considering the consequences or thinking things through rationally. If you still feel the same way tomorrow, when you’re sober-”

“I don’t think I can wait until tomorrow, Tseng. It’s a long way away and you know how impatient I can be.” He released my tie; his fingers were now in the process of unbuckling my belt. I took hold of his wrists and reluctantly removed them from my trousers. Holding his hands up high, I restrained them as best I could.

“Sir, this same thing happened the last time. You seriously lost your temper when you found out what had gone on. I won’t allow the same thing to happen again.”

“Tseng, I’m losing my temper now. If you don’t want to upset me, then I suggest you do as you are told.”

I stared at him firmly, but he scowled back at me in return. Saying my name with anger in his voice, I decided to abide to his command. He wasn’t going to allow me leave. I sighed heavily and released his wrists, letting them fall loosely by his sides. He soon picked up from where he left off. Clamping his fingers over the front of my waistband, he yanked me forwards from the door. He overcame my lips, his tongue took control of my mouth; forcing my immediate submission. I couldn’t help it anymore, I couldn’t hold back. It had been six whole months of avoidance. I’d forced myself to stay away; to think clean and wholesome thoughts about him. To treat him the same way as everyone else. But I couldn’t. Not now, not after touching him. Not after tasting him again. He was drunk. He didn’t mean a single word he said. But I didn’t care. I’d wanted him for so long, and right now…he wanted me.

He started to walk backwards and dragged me along by my belt; never once breaking the custody he had over my mouth. We managed to make it to the suites’ lounge. He fell backward against the rug on the floor and pulled me down on top. His hands were welcoming me closer, his arms wrapping around my neck. I never thought I’d be doing this again, not like this- not with him.

He was lapping at my throat so tenderly. It didn’t matter how many times he did, it always had the same effect. My skin trembled terribly under his tongue, it made me powerless to oppose him. He released my neck and took hold of my chin, bringing me down to face him. He looked up at me and smiled. “You’ve been very obedient so far, Tseng. Does this mean that you want me to be gentle?” I nodded in accordance. My voice was now out of action. He preferred it to be that way. He loved the control- he enjoyed making me do as he pleased.

His fingers began removing my clothing. He was still very much under the influence; his senses weren’t exactly at their peak. He slapped my hand away as I tried to intervene. I should have known better, being as independent as he is. He hates accepting help. My shirt was soon opened out and hands were now gracing my chest. He pushed my shirt from my shoulders and I sat up for it to fall from my back. As I was distracted by the removal of my clothes, he reached up and pulled me down, proceeding impulsively towards my mouth.

This was so different. He’s never been gentle with me before. He’d always preferred powerful passion. It had been his way of relieving his frustration and stress, I was the only one in which he could be that way with. No one else understood. Now he was actually showing me…affection? His tongue was moving so delicately inside my mouth; gently stroking, almost lovingly. It was so strange how he could suddenly change from hostile-aggressive to tender and loving in a blink of an eye. It was something else I didn’t really know about him.

He wanted me to pleasure him, and I damn well would. I removed his trousers from his hips and kissed along his newly exposed leg. He purred his contentment as he lay there still, watching my every movement. I discarded the rest of his garments and placed them down by my side, pushing them out of our way. Taking this time to now study him, to once again view his beauty, I ran my fingers along his chest- over every toned muscle I met. He was watching me with amusement; the smirk was so obvious on his lips. He knew how much I wanted this, yet he still had no problems tormenting me; showing interest one minute then cold ignorance the next. However much I fought with myself, scolded myself for giving in- I could never resist whenever he snapped his fingers. There was something about him I just couldn’t ignore.

My tongue had now left my lips and was passing along his skin. His legs had spread for access, and my head had lowered to oblige. I didn’t want to rush this…I wanted to take my time. He might never ask me again. I passed slowly over his length, never rushing the speed. His legs tensed up with anxiousness. He hated the leisurely pace. He’d have to endure it. I didn’t intend to hurry- I wanted to savour his taste. I started to apply more pressure. Running my tongue up him lightly then slowly trailing it down. He was growling at the changes, getting used to one then being distracted by the next. It was now my time to taunt. I welcomed him into my mouth, my lips assisted to his size. He was growling with impatience, snarling in frustration, he wanted it now and I was expecting as much. I soothed him with my hands and gestured him to calm. He did, unwillingly. Lying back against the rug, he edgily awaited. I coated him with warmth, my tongue applied the moisture; covering every sensitive inch. My teeth closed gently over him and softly grazed the skin, just enough to excite the surface. His legs widened further and my hands took hold of his eager hips, forcing them back down to the floor. He was no longer motionless, his hips were moving impulsively, desperate to enhance the pleasure. I dragged my tongue along him lightly, my lips consumed him at my descent. Sucking and lapping at flesh, swirling and teasing the tip, eagerly taking him deeper. He was breathing heavily, trying to calm himself down. He couldn’t though. It wouldn’t be long, not by the way he was acting- the climax would be soon.

My continual attention did not go unnoticed, my actions began to strengthen; concentrating solely on the swollen, sensitive head while my fingers contended with the rest. He silently gasped, his legs became weak. He released and overindulged my mouth. He fell back against the floor and I rose to my knees. I leaned in further, lapping and swallowing; not letting a single drop of his essence escape.

Breathlessly he eventually sat up, reaching for my chin; bringing me forwards to his face.

“Exceptional, as always.” He smirked smugly, brushing his thumb gently over my moistened lips. He moved in closer, licking them lightly, appreciating the taste he received. Pushing my face away, he rose to his feet and I stayed on my knees, waiting for his next instruction. He took hold of my arm and forcefully pulled; gesturing me to follow. I allowed myself to be dragged to my feet and then be lead blindly down the hall. He might have been under the influences of alcohol, without a clue of what he is doing… but I was under his influences now.
