"Thank you, Cloud. I really had fun tonight," Aeris said, as they approached her room.

"So did I." She smiled brightly, feeling extremely happy. They stopped at her door and neither spoke, creating an uncomfortable silence. She looked at him expectantly, waiting for the kiss she wished for. The silence stretched, making her feel frustrated. Taking the lead, she moved closer to him.

"Are you going to kiss me goodnight?" she asked softly, looking into his blue eyes. A soft smile touched Cloud's lips and he leaned in toward her. The kiss was light, but sweet. She was hoping for more, but that would do for now.

"Goodnight, Cloud."

"Goodnight." He waited until she closed the door before making his way to his own room.

Unbeknown to either of them, Tifa had been watching from her room, the door cracked just enough to see the kiss. Her heart sank when she saw them together. She loved Cloud desperately, and she'd lost him to Aeris. She felt no ill will toward the flower girl, she was her friend, but the hurt was still there.

It was her own fault really, telling Aeris that she and Cloud were just friends. If she'd only told her how she really felt, this wouldn't be happening. Making a quick decision, she left her room, intent on having a little talk with her friend.

Aeris smiled when she heard the knock, thinking Cloud had decided to come back. When she looked through the peephole, seeing Tifa instead, she was a little disappointed.

"Hey, Tifa. What's up?"

"Can I come in? I really need to talk to you."

"Sure," she said, stepping aside to let Tifa in. She looked flustered, and Aeris began to get worried. "Is something wrong?"

"No.....nothing major."

"Tifa, what is it? I can see you're upset."

"How do you feel about Cloud?" she asked outright. Aeris sat, taking a deep breath before answering.

"I'm in love with him," she said, smiling softly.

"I see," Tifa said, her face falling into a frown. Tears threatened and she turned from Aeris, hiding her face with her hands. Unable to hold it back, a soft sob escaped her. She felt Aeris put a hand on her shoulder and she completely lost it, sobbing louder.

"Hey, Tifa. Shhhhhhhh....It's going to be alright."

"How? I've lost the man I love." She looked at her, tears streaming down her face.

"But, you told me..,"

"I know what I said before, but I lied," she said, wiping the tears away angrily.

"Come on, sit down." Tifa sat hesitantly, wanting only to go back to her room, and what, cry some more? "It seems we have a serious situation," Aeris said, sitting next to her on the bed.

"Yeah," Tifa agreed, sniffling.

"I think we should talk to Cloud about this."

"What? No...I see the way he looks at you, and he kissed you tonight. I don't want to ruin things for you, Aeris."

"I see the way he looks at you, too."

"What are you talking about?"

"Cloud..., I see him looking at you sometimes, with that certain look in his eyes. I have to admit, it makes me jealous." Tifa was shocked at the revelation. Could it possibly be that he loved them both? "We both obviously love him. Maybe.......we could share him," Aeris said, blushing a deep red. Tifa's mouth dropped open in shock at what she was suggesting.

"Do you mean........the three of us...?"

"Yeah...maybe we could try it. Cloud may not even agree to this. We should go talk to him at least."

"Right now?"

"It's as good a time as any."

"I don't know, Aeris. I've never done anything like this before."

"Neither have I, but I'm willing to try. We both love him, right?"

"Yeah..., that's true."

"Then let's go have a talk with him."

Cloud stepped out of the shower, thinking back on his date with Aeris, as he dried off. He had enjoyed himself, but something had been bothering him the entire night. He would find himself thinking about Tifa, and he felt guilty for it. He cared a great deal for Aeris, but his feelings for Tifa were just as strong. As crazy as it was, he loved both women.

He sighed, shaking his head in frustration, as he walked over to the bed. He didn't know how to choose between them. He definitely didn't want to hurt either of them. Little did he know he was about to get a visit from the two women in question, both having already come up with a pleasant solution.

The persistent knock stopped Cloud before he had a chance to lay down. He snatched his pants from the floor, quickly pulling them on. Looking through the peephole, he saw Tifa and Aeris, both looking nervous. 'Oh shit, what's going on?' Cloud thought, yanking the door open.

"What's wrong? Is there trouble?"

"Sorry, Cloud. We didn't mean to worry you. We just have something we need to talk to you about," Aeris said, as she and Tifa stepped into the room. Cloud relaxed, shutting the door behind them.

"It couldn't wait until tomorrow?"

"No. We need to straighten this out now," Aeris said. Cloud was beginning to feel apprehensive.

"Straighten what out?"

"How do you feel about me, Cloud?" she asked, and he instantly didn't like where this was headed. He glanced at Tifa to see her reaction and she had a look of interest on her face.

"I....uh...,"

"How do you feel about me?" Tifa asked. Cloud's eyes widened. They were really putting him on the spot now. He looked from one to the other, desperately trying to give them both an answer. 'How the hell can I tell them I love them both?' He sat on the bed, cursing at the situation. They both smiled happily, only succeeding in confusing him.

"You love us both, don't you?" Aeris asked, getting on her knees before him. Unable to speak, Cloud reluctantly nodded his head. He avoided looking at either of them, feeling awful now that the truth was out. He didn't catch the slight nod Aeris gave Tifa, and he was surprised when she climbed on the bed, crawling up behind him. She put her hands on his shoulders and he turned his head to her, his look questioning.

"It's alright, Cloud," Aeris said, placing her hands on his thighs.

"You're not mad at me?" he asked. Aeris smiled softly in answer, her hands moving over his thighs in a caressing fashion.

"Barret, what the hell....?!" Cloud started to yell when the door burst open with another ram of his shoulder.

It would have been funny, if not for the embarrassing situation. To make matters worse, the other members of their traveling group piled into the room behind the massive man.

"Hmm, it appears they are not missing, Barret. They seem to be quite safe," Vincent said with a slight trace of humor in his voice.

"They are unharmed, I can assure you," Red spoke up, sniffing the air with interest.

"I agree. Come on, Barret," Vincent said, tugging at his massive arms. Cid was still having a laughing fit and Yuffie still had a huge grin on her face. The three lovers sat on the bed in shocked silence, watching the group slowly exit the room. Barret was the last to go, clumsily trying to shut the broken door. It wouldn't close all the way and he looked at Cloud with a guilty expression.

"Uh..., sorry," he said with embarrassment. Even with the dark color of his skin, they could see him blushing. The big man shuffled out quickly, leaving them alone. Cloud lay back on the bed with a deep sigh and a shake of his head.

"I'm not paying for that busted door," he muttered. Tifa and Aeris started to laugh and he smiled at the sweet sound.
