Mutation - Chapter 9
This is the final chapter of the Mutation series. I do hope you all have enjoyed this.
--------------------
I heard Kadaj’s bike pulling up outside the bar, and I frowned. I didn’t know who it was, but it was too early for Kadaj to be back, and much later then when Damon should have been back. At least in my opinion.
Icarus had put the twins to bed a long time ago, then had gone to bed himself. I was the only one left up at this hour.
I hopped up and moved quickly to the front door. Kadaj giggled just outside the door, and I knew something was up. I threw open the door to confront not only Kadaj, but Damon as well, both in a state of shock.
Now, I consider myself a reasonable person, in that I won’t shoot somebody for no reason. Though right now, I felt I had sufficient enough reason.
First, Kadaj brought Damon home, and in one piece at that. Next, they were getting along entirely far too well. The final thing was that Kadaj had giggled. I’ve only ever heard him giggle for Smash Cat before.
With all of that established, I slapped Kadaj hard, then shot Damon in the knee. Damon had been out of my reach, otherwise I probably would have slapped him too. Then again, maybe not. Kadaj looked stunned that I slapped him, then hurt. Then, as Damon puts it, as though somebody kicked his puppy.
Tears started to form in his eyes and he turned to Damon, yelling “I told you he hated me!” Then he pushed past me and ran inside. I heard him slam his bedroom door and winced. Something tells me that I just made a big mistake. I looked to Damon for an explanation, since he was sitting on the porch, cursing under his breath as he dug the bullets out of his knee. I swear he has become almost excessively morbid since he became one of us.
He flicked the first bullet aside before looking up at me. “He thinks you hate him,” he said as though I hadn’t heard Kadaj’s little tantrum.
“I’ve gathered that, but why?” I frowned, then moved to help Damon up.
“Since you said so, when the two of you believed that he had killed me.” He leaned on me as I helped him hobble to our room.
“Looks like I’ve made things worse,” I sighed.
He nodded, “Yup. and just when he and I had finally come to an agreement to not fight as much.” He started stripping out of his clothing, the would already starting to heal. I cringed at what Damon had just said. I didn’t have to ask to know that they were doing it for me.
“I should go set things right with him,” I start to head out of the room when Damon grabbed my arm.
“Make it up to him in the morning, with pancakes. Tonight, just let Smash take care of him.”
I looked at him skeptically as he sat back down on our bed, sprawling out like some virgin sacrifice on his wedding night. Have I told you just how hard he is to resist.
“Besides,” He smirked, “don’t you want to make things up to me for shooting me?” He pouted prettily.
“I’m sure you deserved it for once reason or another.” He pouted for real, and I chuckled. “Then again,” I started moving towards him, slowly shedding my clothing. “You did promise to do whatever I wanted when you got home tonight. And it’s deliciously tempting, seeing you laying there, not able to move properly.”
I crawled over him and leaned down to whisper in his ear. “Tonight, you’re not allowed to do anything, unless I say you can.” The small whimpering moan he made was enough to make me shiver. Tonight I would have full control over him, and I know that I am the only person he willingly allows himself to submit himself completely to. It’s one of the most addictive feelings I know in the world.
