"Do you want to go out again, Cloud?"
Cloud looked up from the bed. "Hell no."
Vincent frowned as he took the blond's empty plate. "we could go back to Chocobo Square..."
"As soon as I want to be raped in public, I'll tell you." Cloud snapped. Then said. "Gaia, Vin, I'm so sorry... I don't mean to do this. not to you."
Vincent smiled tenderly. "I think I understand, Cloud."
"You think you understand what?"
"Why you...want to leave without me coming along."
Cloud looked over at Vincent. "Not that, Vin."
"I'm sorry."
"Hey, it's not your fault a sadistic bastard decided to give you a sadistic demon as innards, Vincent. Don't you ever blame yourself for this."
Vincent wordlessly placed the plate on what served as a dining table. "Chaos suggested maybe leaving Gold Saucer."
"And going where?"
"Nibelheim."
"Your mansion?"
"It is hardly mine."
"I found you sleeping in it. It's yours."
Vincent said. "I'll be right out."
He walked into the bathroom and opened a cupboard. "Why are we always out of tissues?"
Cloud stood up. "Ouch." He swore softly.
"Cloud! Are you okay?" Vincent peered out of the bathroom before closing the door for better access to the closet.
Cloud muttered. "Just reminders of your sadistic demon."
Cloud continued to stand when his hand met something sharp. He looked down to his a bloody towel. Peeking out of it was a razor blade.
"Looks like Chaos forgot to remove one." Cloud murmured.
He inspected the dried blood on the blade. "My blood."
Cloud griped the blade.
In the other room, Vincent was triumphant. "Finally! Tissues!"
Chaos said. /Host, I can smell it. His blood./
Vincent sniffed. /Oh, Gaia./
Vincent dropped his loot in his haste to open the door. He ran out to the main room.
"Cloud..."
Cloud was not in the room. Vincent stepped forward and cringed.
The razor sat on Cloud's pillow, blood still dripping heat. The once- white pillow was dappled in crimson.
/You would think he would escape instead of slitting himself./ Chaos snarled.
/I think he did./
Vincent looked at the open window. /Cloud is gone./
"At least he's safe."
His phone rang. "Hello?"
"Vincent Valentine, I love you." *click*
"Cloud!" Vincent called out.
Cloud closed his phone and his eyes. The other passengers on the Ropeway gave him odd looks.
"I love you."
*-*-*-*-*
Chaos flew from the room. His wings barely beat as he glided around the outside of Gold saucer.
/Chaos! He left for a reason!/
/And I will get him back./
Vincent scolded. /Chaos, he doesn't want you./
/Well, I want him./ Chaos growled.
Vincent hissed. /That's called being selfish./
/I am a demon./
/You are a bastard./
/Perhaps./
/That is no excuse, anyway./
/No, perhaps not./
/So let him go./
Chaos flew faster. /No. I will never let him go./

"Hello."
"Cloud."
"Vincent, I'm sorry!"
Cloud began to cry. He sat a mile away from North Corel, alone.
"Be careful."
"I'll be fine. It's you I'm worried about. Gaia, Vin, I'm so sorry! I just...just left you...!" Cloud sobbed. "I'm weak, Vin."
"I'll be here."
"I'll come back. Tonight, just let me be on my own. I love you, Vin."
Vincent said soothingly. "How are you doing?"
"Well, one of the men Barett used to work with gave a few potions, in case I needed them, he said. People of Norh Corel are really kind..." Cloud drifted off. "Shit."
/North Corel, hmmm?/ Chaos purred.
Vincent struggled to remain in control of Chaos. "Cloud... Run...Chaos is stronger than me...I love you."
Cloud heard a roar from the other end. "Vincent!"
"Cloud."
"Gaia, Chaos! Leave Vincent alone!"
"Funny. He said the same thing about you."
"Stay way from me, Chaos."
"Aww, you won't even come back to see your Valentine?"
Cloud moned. "Vincent..."
"I did hear you say you loved him." Chaos was cold.
"I do!" Cloud cried. "I love Vincent."
"You do love someone after all."
"Leave him alone, Chaos. He... he shouldn't have to go through that... no one else should."
"Only you, my Cloud."
"Wh-where are you?"
"Look up."
Cloud cursed as a shadow lay over him. Chaos descended from the air like a dark angel.
Cloud sat down.
"I'm waiting."
Chaos landed in front of Cloud."Cloud."
"Chaos."
"You decided not to run away anymore?"
"I knew it would be worse for me."
/He was right./ Vincent said angrily.
"Relax, Cloud."
"Relax! How do you expect me to relax!" Cloud screamed.
"It'll be safer for you."
Cloud glared up at Chaos. "If I did not have Vincent to think of, I would be dead right now."
"What?"
For the first time, Chaos was startled. He barely knew what he was feeling.
"Chaos, had it only been you and me in that room, if Vincent Valentine died or never existed, I would not have hesitated with the razor the first time. You would have found a corpse in your bathroom."
/Cloud.../ Vincent murmured.
Cloud absent-mindedly scraped at his barely healed wounds.
"Don't."
Cloud looked at Chaos. "And why not? Afraid I'll bleed to death?"
"I suggest you don't mock me."
Cloud sighed. "So rape me. You never seem to have a problem with it."
/No, Cloud!/ Vincent gasped.
"No. Return with me."
"Why? Not comfortable on the ground?"
"For Valentine, if nothing else."
"Let me speak to Vincent."
"Cloud." Vincent's voice.
"Vin, I';m so sorry! I don't know why... why..."
"Shhh. Calm down for me, please Cloud."
Cloud gasped in air as Vincent said. "I'm the one who should apologize."
"Why, Vincent?"
"I called you here."
Cloud laughed. "Remember, it's not your fault. Not at all, so don't act like it."
Vincent said. "Cloud, I feel responsible. I am not strong enough to hold back Chaos."
Cloud said deeply. "I love you Vin."
"Cloud, I..."
"Chaos, I'm coming back with you."
"Cloud, why?" Vincent gasped.
"Vincent, listen. I mean it when I say I love you.I'm sorry I left." Cloud could almost feel Chaos pushing into him for saying this...
"Cloud," Vincent began.
"I know, Vin. Chaos will keep on... taking me. However, you will be there. I'll live through it."
Chaos said slowly. "Cloud, once, you told me of your comfort and how it was not promised."
"Yes, Chaos?"
"For you and Valentine, I shall promise comfort."
Cloud couldn't help but smirk. "Ah, yes, just like you promised safety, and here I am."
Chaos spat. "Only this once. I assure you, it will not happen again. You, Cloud, belong to me."
Cloud's smirk faded. "I had forgotten that part." A light smile returned. "But I'm coming anyway."
"Maybe comfort is easier than safety."
"Unless you're a crazed demon rapist."
Chaos had no reply, so he lifted Cloud into his arms and began to fly for Gold Saucer.

Did you like it? No, Chaos isn't quite soft yet. So, either don't worry, or I'm sorry. Chaos still has a few tricks up his...umm... does Chaos wear sleeves? Ah, you know what I mean. Enjoy!
