Eternal Fall: part XVI: Bad Dreams

"Garamonde-sensei?"

"Ah, Zack! Come in! One of my best students. How are you?"

"I'm good, sensei. Thank you."

"But something is troubling you. It is harder to tell with you than most people, but there is something."

"Sensei, I was just wondering about something. General Sephiroth hasn't been to the dorm in a while."

"Yes, I was informed that he was no longer to pass on his techniques. He was always very good. It makes a teacher proud when the student is capable of surpassing him. I am sure he will be fine."

"What do you mean? Do you know where he went?"

"Haven't you d? Hd? He never made it to his destination. Where tdestdestination is, I'm not certain. But he never made it."

"You're worried about him. You are a fine young man Zack. Always worried about the well-being of others."

"They have no idea where he is?" Cloud asked. "They just don't know, right? There is no reason for them to think he's hurt, right?"

Zack had to laugh softly. "Look at us. We're worried about Sephiroth, of all people. There isn't any danger on this planet that he can't handle on his own. He'll get a good laugh once he hears about this."

"Yea..." Cloud nodded, "...A really good laugh."

Zack sighed. "I'm going to go check my computer panel for messages. I'll be back soon."

Cloud nodded as Zack left. He knew that Zack was trying hard not to be worried. But he also knew that they both had a gut feeling that something was wrong. And what if something set off Sephiroth's emotions again and allowed that demon to take over? Cloud could hardly believe that he didn't even question Zack and Sephiroth when it came to this demon. But for some reason, he trusted them more than anyone else.

Cloud decided to meet Zack in his room, so he got up and headed for the door. It was then that Ki burst in and shut the door behind him.

"Hello, Cloud," he said. "How has your day been?"

Before Cloud could respond or question, Ki turned towards the wall and pinned him against it. It was all a blur, but soon Cloud's pants were pulled down just enough to reveal his tight backside. Ki's pants were down just enough for him to let his erection spring free. And Ki had already lubricated himself just enough to keep Cloud from screaming as he stuffed him.

"Ki," Cloud gasped, "Ki... Zack will be back any minute."

Ki started to pull out, but shoved himself deeper inside of the young blonde. Cloud groaned softly and gave in. His body arched back against the taller young man. Cloud knew he shouldn't like it. He knew it should hurt and burn and tear. But it didn't. He wanted it. He needed it.

It was a min minutes of hard pounding before Ki groaned deeply and pushed himself deeper into Cloud a final time. He then pulled out and fixed his clothing first, and then Cloud's, pulling Cloud away from the wall so he could face the door. Suddenly the door swung open and Zack walked in.

"I haven't received any--" Zack looked up and saw Ki standing there with a grin on his face.

"Sir," he said, standing at attention. "I was just leaving, sir."

Zack nodded and moved out of the way to let him pass.

"I haven't received any messages from him," Zack said after Ki was gone.

Cloud watched even more concern fall onto Zack's features. The raven-haired young man rose a hand and gently placed it on Cloud's forehead.

"You're burning up, Cloud," Zack said. "Feeling okay, kid?"

"Y... yea," Cloud said, swallowing hard. "I'm fine. I just need to sit down for a while."

"Okay," Zack said. "Take care. I have to go do a few things. Lie down for a while, okay?"

Cloud smiled softly and sat on his bed. As soon as Zack shut the door he fell back onto it with a loud sigh. If that door had opened a second sooner... what would have happened then?

Ki was bad for him, and Cloud knew it. The older teen with the bright red hair seemed like the perfect person when it came to the exterior. He was highly intelligent, his strength was unreal, and he never did anything wrong during training or at any other time. Cloud didn't even see Ki around if his studies or practice sessions weren't complete. But when Cloud did see Ki, there was a whole different side to the young man.

It started the night Ki's roommate hanged himself in his room. Ki stayed with Cloud that night, and before Cloud knew it they were both on his bed, Cloud on his stomach with Ki claiming him from behind. The young blonde lost track of how many positions they were in that night. But he remembered the fierce need that filled him. Something about Ki made Cloud's emotions and passions boil inside. It was more than infatuation. When Ki wanted Cloud's body, he had it. Cloud couldn't resist. It was as though he had no control. It was as though Ki could access Cloud's lust at will and make the young blonde insane with his own buried desires.

Zack looked ad, bd, blinking.

"What is her name...?"

It was dark. So dark that Zack couldn't see his hand in front of his face. He turned this way and that in the darkness.

"I'm asleep..." Zack murmured.

"Yes," came the eerily familiar voice. "So, will you tell me? What is her name?"

Zack looked up to see Aeris tending to some flowers. She was the only source of light in the darkness.

"Aeris. Her name is Aeris," he said softly.

"She's pretty."

"She's beautiful," Zack said, afraid to approach her in case she might disappear.

"Love really changes people, doesn't it?"

Zack nodded.

"What does it feel like to take her?"

Zack blinked and hesitated with his answer. His senses were fully alert now. He tried to wake himself up.

"What's wrong, Zack? Why do you want to leave?"

"I want to wake up..." Zack said, anxiety setting in.

"You were so open with your body before you started seeing her, weren't you?"

Zack closed his eyes, trying to will himself awake. Something felt incredibly wrong. His stomach turned the same way it did when he knew he was beginning a nightmare.

"Tell me, Zack," the eerie voice whispered, closing its distance. "Do you ever want to be that way again?"

"No," Zack said firmly, his eyes still closed.

"You have so many dark impulses, Zack. You want to fight for a lg. g. You ache to fulfill such basic needs."

"Wake up..." Zack whispered to himself.

"It's usually so hard to find any darkness in your soul, Zack. But most people leave their souls so vulnerable at night."

Aeris' whimper made his eyes snap open. Deep down he knew she couldn't be real, but he couldn't help but respond with worry. He looked up to see Ki standing behind her, one arm wrapped around her waist with one of her wrists in hand. His other hand gripped her throat, and she desperately tried to pull him away.

"Now, now, Aeris. We mustn't fight," Ki said to her, even though his eyes were focused on Zack. "I simply want to find out how deep Zack's desires run."

"Let her go!" Zack yelled, moving towards them.

"Don't move," Ki smirked, tightening his grip on her throat.

Zack stopped, but looked as though he would spring at any moment.

"So tell me, Zack," Ki said after nipping Aeris' neck. "How badly do you want her? I'm not leaving until your darkest desires are mine."

"Please Ki, don't..."

"Don't hurt her? But she is so pretty. Haven't you ever wanted to hold her down yourself? You seem like a forceful person."

Ki's face seemed to change. He seemed puzzled. His dark eyes traced Zack's features. "You really haven't thought of it," Ki smiled lowly. "That was unexpected. I sense no dark desires. That displeases me."

"Let her go, Ki."

"You're worried because this feels so real," Ki chuckled. "What if I were to rape your sweet Aeris in front of you? And I won't be cliché about it. I'll enter through this tight little rear of hers."

Then, Ki stopped. Zack stood there horrified in front of him, and something in his blue-violet eyes seemed to break.

"What was that just now?" Ki said, pushing Aeris aside. She disappeared into the darkness as he approached the raven-haired young man. "That was dark indeed."

"Shut up!" Zack yelled. "What the hell is going on, Ki?!"

"No changing the subject," Ki smirked. "That thought you had... it was intriguing. A dark desire stemming from another dark desire. I'd almost say it was guilt... maybe shame."

Zack covered his ears and closed his eyes again, praying to awaken from his nightmare.

"It came when I threatened Aeris, didn't it?" Ki spoke loudly so Zack could hear. "Odd, considering that you said you'd never hurt her."

Zack jolted and threw a powerful punch at Ki, but he missed completely. Ki appeared behind him.

"What are you hiding?" Ki laughed darkly.

Zack tried to clear his thoughts, but Ki's very life-force seemed to grip the dark thought buried inside.

"What is it?" Ki asked, moving close again.

"No..." Zack pleaded.

"I see it!" Ki laughed. "You have broken at last!"

Zack sank to his knees as the image appeared in front of him. The scene that played before him included his own image when he was just a boy. Ki stood next to him, watching in amusement. The sounds of crying and begging and the sounds of skin hitting skin hit the darkness around t Za Zack covered his eyes so he wouldn't have to relive his own childhood rape.

"I see," Ki smiled. "You wouldn't hurt Aeris, because you know what it's like to be fucked against your will." He watched as if in a trance. "Look at all that blood. Those men really seem to like it when you scream. How many are there? Only two? I suppose that's fine. Though they aren't taking advantage of the fact that you can be fucked by two cocks at once."

Zack said nothing. He only held himself as he trembled.

And then, another image came into view. One Zack didn't know was in his mind until it was there for Ki to see. Ki's eyes widened in surprise and he laughed yet again.

"So," Ki said, watching the image of Sephiroth as he drove himself into Zack. "This is how you became a first class member?"

"That's not Sephiroth!" Zack yelled.

"Oh really? Then who is it?"

Zack swallowed hard. "I... I can't explain."

Ki smirked at him. "Well... either way, I'd lik wat watch. So, have fun with ‘not Sephiroth.’”

Zack's eyes widened as the white-hot pain tore through his entire body. He screamed as he was pinned onto his stomach and violated once more. He heard Ki's laugher as the mirage of Sephiroth took him, causing him to relive the horrible pain.

"Please... please make it stop!" Zack cried, realizing that the image of his childhood rape was still in progress, only heightening the shame that claimed him as he was raped by the mirror image of his friend. "STOP IT!!!!"

Ki knelt next to him and grinned. He gently wiped the tears from Zack's face with his thumb. "Maybe in the morning...."

"I'm not sure," Cloud shrugged. "I thought for sure they'd find out."

"Seriously, Ki. I came here to get stronger. I want to be in SOLDIER. Aren't you worried at all that you won't get in?"

"I'm not here to be in SOLDIER."

"You aren't? But why--"

"I'm here to find someone for a friend of mine. I'm also here to have a little fun on the way."

"You call the military fun?!"

"It can be. I met you, didn't I? You seem to enjoy it when I'm fucking your brains out."

"Do what?"

Cloud whirled around and looked Ki in the eye. "I don't want to talk about this."

"You want to hurt him. You want him to hurt you. Why is that? You want to be claimed, yet you want him to beg you to claim him."

"Shut up, Ki," Cloud said sternly. "You don't know anything."

"I know what you want," Ki grinned.

Cloud heard the red-haired young man stand, and he heard him draw near. Suddenly Ki's hands were turning Cloud so their eyes could meet.

"Come with me for a moment," Ki said in a serious tone.

Cloud sighed and followed the tall young man towards the part of the base that people hardly ever visited. They entered an abandoned storage house. Cloud came because he had nothing better to do, and because Ki wouldn't let him go anyway.

"No one comes here anymore. It's almost peaceful," Ki smiled.

Cloud couldn't think of a response, but with speed Cloud couldn't have imagined, Ki grabbed him and handcuffed his hands behind his back.

"What the hell?!" Cloud yelled.

"You're so naive," Ki laughed.

He pulled the young blonde to his feet and quickly pulled a couple strips of cloth from his pocket. Soon Cloud was blindfolded and gagged. He felt Ki leading him a few steps deeper into the building before he was helped to stand on a box. Cloud wasn't all that frightened until something slipped around his neck. He didn't have to be told to know it was a noose.

"For obvious reasons," Ki chuckled, "You should hold still. Wouldn't want you to hang yourself. It's probably a very slow and painful process."

Cloud muttered a few things from under the gag. Ki only smirked as he wrapped his arms around the bound young teen.

"Obey me and give in," Ki said gently, "Or I'll push you off."

The cold tone of Ki's voice hit him, and Cloud held very still. He knew it would happen. He knew Ki would do it. Cloud felt a fear growing inside of him, and it reached every part of him. Now the red-haired young man was altering his fear... making it worse. He didn't know how, but he knew it was Ki's doing. For a brief flash, Cloud understood how much he was being used.

"Now, we'll play a little game," Ki said, unzipping Cloud's pants and pulling them down with his underwear. It was just enough to expose the young blonde, who was starting to tremble just slightly. "I'll have my fun, and if you blow your load, I'll push you off and kill you. Sound like fun?"

Cloud yelled a muffled "NO" from beneath his gag.

"Good, I'm glad you want to play," Ki laughed as he advanced.

"Be good," Ki said gently.

Suddenly he felt himself hit the ground. The rope had been released, and it was finally cut away. His cuffs were undone, and his blindfold and gag were removed. Ki laughed and looked down at Cloud, who was gasping for every bit of air his body would allow him.

With that, Ki walked back to the dorm on his own. Cloud rested there, the feelings of shame rising inside of him again.

Zack went through each dorm building in his section that night by himself. He only had to make sure that everyone was in bed or getting ready for bed. The long walk helped him clear his mind. After about an hour, he made it back to his dorm and walked up the stairs to his floor. As soon as he entered the dark, quiet hallway Cloud grabbed him by the shoulders.

"Why Zack?! Why did you tell Ki what Sephiroth did?! No one else was supposed to know! And you didn‘t tell me the same thing happened to you!"

Zack only stared at the young blonde for a moment. Cloud could see that Zack was incredibly worn out, as if he hadn't slept in days.

"I didn't actually tell him," Zack said finally. "He just... found out."

"How did he just find out something like that?!"

Zack shut his eyes, and Cloud realized what had happened. Ki had looked into Zack's heart, just as he always did to Cloud.

"I'm going to bed," Zack murmured before gently pushing past Cloud.

"I... I'm sorry," Cloud said, quickly trailing him.

Zack only nodded and continued walking.

"I know it isn't your fault. He's been keeping you up, hasn't he?"

Zack opened the door to his room. "He's dangerous, Cloud. Stay away from him."

Cloud sighed softly and nodded. He headed back to his room, and Zack made sure he made it inside before closing his door and letting his body fall onto his bed. He had kept himself awake to keep Ki from torturing him. At first he wasn't sure it was Ki. But from the red-haired young man's dark glances and smirks and eerie aura, he realized there was something very real to his nightmares.

He would have given anything to talk to Aeris, but he hadn't contacted her in weeks. He would make sure that Ki didn't find a way to her. But Zack desperately needed the comfort. So his confusion only grew when he realized there was a message on his desk panel. It was audio only. He decided it was probably Cloud, since Aeris didn't call so late. After a few moments of thought, he hit the play button.

At first there was a short silence, but then, a sound. Then another. It was a gui and and it was playing something incredibly soothing. Zack lied back on his bed and smiled softly. It was the first song he had taught Sephiroth to play. He quickly put the audio recording on a loop, and listened to the flawless melody that Sephiroth played without having to make it known who was playing. Zack drifted into a peaceful sleep, and not a soul disturbed him.
