Escaping Fire Part 2
Cloud was stopped by the silent snoring coming from his bedroom. He turned slightly and say his love, his partner sleeping. Alone. This was the first night in about a year that Rufus had been alone during the night. Cloud turned to walk into the living room but was stopped again by his lover's voice.

"Where were you last night? I waited up until almost three," Rufus said, sitting up.

"I was just out," Cloud replies, hoping he doesn't have to explain where and with who.

"At least you came back," he threw the sheets off of him and sat on the side of the bed then stood up.

He walked over to Cloud and kissed his lips. Then he went across the hall to the bathroom and turned on the water for his shower. Rufus then untied his pajama pants letting them fall to the floor around his ankles. He stepped out of them and into the running water of the shower.

Cloud stepped into the bathroom and sat on the sink counter. He watched Rufus wash his hair. The young Avalanche liked what he saw, the fact of his lover being nude always had an effect on him.

"Sephiroth's back," Cloud's words were barely heard over the running water.

"Really? That's interesting. Hey, could you hand me the soap beside you?"

Cloud grabbed the soap and got off the counter. He handed Rufus the soap but was pulled in. Rufus' lips met Cloud's. Rufus took the soap and put it on the ledge beside them. Quickly, Rufus removed Cloud's tank top and threw it out of the shower. Then removed his pants.

Rufus nods and sips his orange juice. He's wearing jeans, no shirt and is barefoot. He looked at the clock above the refrigerator, "I gotta go," Rufus drank the last of his orange juice, then went to his bedroom and changed for work. Into white pants, a black shirt, white over coat and black boots. Even though it was Saturday, he had to go to work for a few hours. After all, he was the head of Shinra headquarters

Promptly after saying goodbye to Cloud he was gone. Not much other than paper work really needed to be taken care of but he still had to go. Rufus entered the headquarters and greeted the security guards before making his way to the 62^nd floor. On a slow day it took almost 15 minutes to reach his office but since today was part of the weekend, not many people were working. It still took him about 7 minutes.

Once on the floor of his office, he was greeted by his secretary. She didn't have to work today or really any day for that matter but she had a thing for her boss.

"Hello Mr. Shinra," her high-pitched voice greeted Rufus from her desk.

Rufus glanced over at her and noticed she was bent over, fooling with her shoe, her foot propped up on her chair. He walked over to her and offered a hand," You okay?"

Rufus headed up the stairs to his office and laughed on the way up. This was turning out to be quite an amusing day. He sank into his chair behind his desk and shook his head when he saw the papers stacked up. It was Saturday for goodness sake and there was a build up of work.

Rufus opened the top drawer of his desk and took out a pen. This was the first step to beginning his work.

"Sir, you can't go up there. How did you get to this floor? Sir, stop please. Mr. Shinra doesn't like to be disturbed," Rufus' secretary's voice could be heard from down stairs but he paid no attention to it.

He continued to work until he felt a tongue touch his ear. Rufus gasped and put down his pen. Slowly he turned his head to see the one who sent the chills down his spine.

"Reno!" Rufus said in surprise," but...but..."
