New Business

The music was still pumping loud and ferociously, screams and whoops could still be heard from the dance floor beneath the balcony and a sudden smash of glass echoed throughout as the blonde barmaid serving at the bar tripped and sent a box of vodka bottles flying.

But none of the goings on could distract Zell's eyes from wandering up and down the length of the body of the newcomer that Fujin was introducing to him. Blonde hair, bright blue eyes, tall with an incredibly muscular frame. To the drugs master, he was a stud and he wondered if the guy was interested in more than just the market.

Zell watched the tall blonde's every movement as he was led by Fujin to Zell. He watched the way that the guy walked, with an attitude that most likely said 'fuck off I don't care' and a titanic smirk plastered on his face. Zell figured he was hard and knew how to take care of himself at most times. He would be a person the drugs master would like to get to know.

Zell watched Rinoa jump up from her seat on the sofa, still flushed and sweating from the dancing to greet her silver hairoverover with a light kiss on the lips and the entwining of their hands as they stopped in front of the sofa.

"Mr. Dincht, I take it Rinoa has told you that you were to expect this gentleman?" Fujin introduced the unknown man with a wave of her free hand and beckoned him forward. ell ell nodded, keeping his eyes on the guy. He was dressed in a long trench coat, a tight shirt and leather trousers that made Zell wonder.

"Seifer Almasy," The large blonde offered his hand.

Rinoa watched nervously at Seifer's movements, hoping highly that Zell would accept his welcome and things wouldn't go roughly like tast ast time Fujin brought somebody. The guy had been a little buzzed on something and when Zell said he wasn't interested, the guy flipped and tried to attack him. The ending result was Zell shooting the guy right in the middle of the club and having to leg it out as fast they could before the cops showed up. After that incident, Zell had been weary of who he saw and what exactly their intentions were.

"Zell Dincht," He accepted Seifer's hand and shook it lightly, motioning for him to sit down in Squall's old seat next to him.

Seifer did so and placed himself on the sofa, turning to face Zell, the wild smirk still on his face. Zell eyed the large blonde again, just making sure that he was seeing what he was seeing, and that it really was the second most beautiful creature he'd ever seen after Squall.

"Rinoa, love, get some more drinks in will ya?" Zell glanced at Rinoa.

"Yes, Sir," She nodded, allowed her ebony hair to flow around her face annoyingly as she bounded off and leaving Fujin to sit down on Zell's left hand side.

Zell leaned back slightly in his seat to whisper to the silver haired girl. "Wheredya pick him up?"

Fujin shrugged. "He was actually introduced to me by someone from the 'Slayers' gang."

"Why do yong ang around the 'Slayers', Fuu? You know that we are in competition with them," A small scowl spread across Zell's face.

"I do it for a good cause, Sir, but we'll talk about that later. You currently have company to entertain."

Fujin waved her hands with a slight smile and got up to go help Rinoa with the drinks, walking off in the direction of the bar with a sultry sway of her hips.

Zell shrugged, turning back to meet Seifer's gaze. "Women."

"Quite. So, what kinda business are you into? Do you deal in the good stuff or just minor shit?"

Zell was startled slightly by Seifer's sudden question. Usually, it was him that asked all the questions first and he waited for replies. This time it was different, and Zell liked that in Seifer. He liked that in a man, someone who was pushy at times and liked to control conversations and other things besides.

"Well, I'm into most of the major goods, ya don't find me doing much little, minor stuff 'coz it don't bring no money in. But anything ya want I can get basically," Zell tried to not give away too much information. Zell didn't know who Seifer was in depth so he had to be careful about what he said. After all, Seifer could be an undercover cop or FBI agent.

"I see. So, if I asked for something like ecstasy, you could get me it pretty quickly and at a reasonable price?" Seifer waved his hand as he spoke.

"It depends."

Seifer raised an eyebrow. "On....?"

Zell looked up to see Rinoa and Fujin heading back at the sound of footsteps, hands filled with drinks, chatting about something and being careful not to drop the glasses at the same time.

"Sir, we got you and Seifer some of them vodka thingys and we got some brandy for us gals, ok?" Fujin greeted Zell and handed him the drink.

Rinoa handed Seifer a glass, taking a long drink from her own as she did. She winced at the burn down her throat as she downed the brandy in one shot and staggered backwards at the buzz.

"Fuck, Rin, steady on why don't ya? Are ya tryin' to get pissed already?!" Fujin caught a hold of Rinoa as she wobbled about slightly and steadied her.

"Sorry," She smiled at her girlfriend childishly and regained her balance, turning her attention to Zell. "Hey, Sir, is it ok if we head out onto the dance floor for a bit?"

Zell shrugged. "I said earlier, ya can do whatever ya want until about midnight."

Rinoa beamed at Fujin and drug her by the hand down the metal steps like a rag doll to the floor that was jumping with life.

Zell smiled and turned his attention back to Seifer. "Women."

"You seem to have your assistants on a loose leash?" Seifer inquired.

Zell shook his head and took a drink from his glass. "Well, they do work good for me. I just let them do what they want when they aren't working or doing anything for me. So what gang do you come from? Where abouts do ya hang?"

"I don't think you would know my gang. I come from the 'Fragments'."

"No, don't know 'em," Zell shook his head again. "Where are ya situated?"

"Down by the eastern side of the river near the pool hall."

"Oh right, I didn't know that anyone played down there?"

"Well, we do. But I wouldn't advise you go down there, we have the place surrounded by guards and shit," Seifer turned his attention from Zell to gaze around the balcony.

"I'll take your word for that," Zell raised a blonde eyebrow and brought his glass to his lips again.

Zell was enjoying his talk with Seifer, especially since he fancied him like hell and throughout the next half an hour they talked. About the business of drugs and trading between the various groups each other was in contact with and Seifer always answered without hesitation. They were all answers that Seifer already had planted inside his head, courtesy of his head supervisor at SeeD.

Seifer was a SeeD agent in disguise. His mission, to infiltrate Zell's business and shut it down for good. All information he was giving to Zell was false but still believable and he had had loads of practice before hand on what to say and how to say it, and what to expect in the terms of reactions and answers from Zell.

Seifer's goal for today was to find out what exactly Zell was trading in and how he got it across to other gangs, and Seifer was doing a good job. With the added help of the extra glasses of alcohol Seifer had provided and the sights and sounds of the club, Zell was slowly falling under the deeper questions the SeeD was taught to ask.
