YOU: I usually don't post if I don't get Feed Back. It just proves that this fiction wasn't worthy enough to be put on here. So, if you like it, be sure to post a review, even if it is to tell me to UPDATE. I like being pushed.

Chapter 2: The End of My World

I don't know how long I was sleeping for, I didn't really care at the moment, as my body twists into all sorts of pain. It feels like I was stabbed in every eternal organ. I know it's not a hangover, that's for sure. The smell of blood didn't help my situation, either. I didn't want to open my eyes, in fear that the sun's burning rays, would scorch my eyes back shut. I could already feel it's prying heat at my eyelids.

What happened last night? I came home, blew out my candles, had some drinks with Yutaka, and then slept. None of those things involved someone coming in with God knows what and doing the worst to my body. At the thought of us being in danger, I reached out for Yutaka, very slowly.

"You're alive."

My hand went back at my side, trembling at the startling voice.

"No sense of making you stay in pain, now is there? Curaga!"

After he spoke the last word, a warm sensation came over my body. It was warm and as light as an angel's kiss. With the work it was doing to my body, it probably was. I feel my muscles relax, as the pain starts to fade away. What the hell did he do to me? I'm sure just about everyone in the world would love to know. God, if it was that easy to just poof away your aches.

"It's okay to open your eyes," laughs the voice that seems to be closer then the last time.

Not feeling threatened by the person, I open my eyes. The scenery of a wide open plain of grass and trees welcomed my view, making me jump up right away. "Where am I? where's Yutaka?"

The guy gave me a weird look, while packing a few bottles into his bag. "Are you lost or something?"

"Duh!"

He smirked, "I knew it, just by the way you look. I've definitely never seen your kind around."

I was beyond frustrated and getting even more confused by the minute. How the hell did I get here?

"Keep going."

"You're in Balamb Territory, just beyond those woods, Northwest. It's the closest you've got to any Garden. I suggest you see Dr-"

"Kadowaki," I whispered more to myself, in disbelief. "No. This isn't real... it's a dream. A bad, terrible..."

"You have nothing on you, but that bag. I bet you don't have any GF's, do you?" he asked, while looking through my things. I was in too much shock to even care at the moment. "Nope, nothing. No potion, no drinks, not even a defense item."

I shrugged a bit. "This is a dream anyway, it's not like I'll die."

"Correction, you did die, and I had to use my last Phoenix on you. Thank you very much and no, this isn't a dream. Trust me, things would be a lot easier on me if it were."

"How did I?"

"Die? well," he started. "I was traveling, well okay, brooding. Turns out Cid doesn't approve of my being tardy and absent all the time, so he kicked me out of the Garden. Bloody wank. Then, about twenty minutes of walking, I see something falling out of the sky."

"That's when I come in," I said, lowly, still trying to digest everything.

What would you do if you found out that you died? That the last thing you remember is sleeping cozy on the couch, then winding up in the middle of a made up video game, talking to, I'm guessing a chip? He sure as hell didn't look like one, though. He looked real, every feature. It wasn't graphic or drawn. It was just like being in a different country.

Everything about this place: the smell, the grass, the breath of air, the sky, and warmth. It was real, I just didn't want to give into reality, yet. I couldn't register each step and why. It's too much to take in all at once. I was overwhelmed, lost, and at breaking point. Someone messed with possibilities, imaginations, and dreams. The fine line separates each, it's broken, and I'm left me here bedraggled!

"That's right, you came down and I found you dead. Your alright, now?"

"Yes, thank you."

The man placed his arm around my shoulder and turned me around to a wooded area, before speaking. "Okay, now if you go straight through there, you should see Balamb. Be sure to enter at the gates. They'll welcome you and take you to the Infirmary with your current state."

I kept on staring at the woods, knowing what was waiting for me once I step inside it's eerie depths. I'd always get into about five battles when I went through the forest, but that was different, it was a game! and like the man said, I had nothing on me. No GF, no Items, no nothing!

"I have a few potions, I can give you if you'd like. The creatures in there aren't that bad, but what I suggest you do is run, dead on-"

"Please come with me," I choked, while looking into his eyes, pleadingly. "Please, I've never been in a battle. I've never used potions or magic..."

"Little girl, I have a long walk ahead of me."

"Please."

With an irritated sigh, he starts heading towards the woods. It took me awhile to get my legs working, but I advanced quickly, while making sure to stay close to him. "So, you gotta name, or do I call you Angel?"

I raised an eyebrow at him, why on earth? Oh, that's right. I fell out of a frickin' sky!

"It's Lisa."

"Well, Lisa. I'm Brandon."

Brandon? I laughed a bit, receiving a glare. The look on his face crossed as offended and beyond tired. It wasn't my intentions, I do know that it's a long trip anywhere by foot in this game, so he'd have to be exhausted. "I just never thought that your name would be that common."

"Oh," he smiled, calming down a bit. "It's really not. My real name is Cibblex. I got made fun of all through out the younger grades. Brandon, came from this book I was interested in, it sounded good at the time."

"I wish I could change my name."

He drew out a sharp blade and started to decapitate branches, leaving an easy trail for me to travel. I appreciated the way he made sure that I wouldn't get tangled and the way he'd try to distract me from the darkness we were disappearing into.

"So what would you name yourself, then?"

"Sid, maybe," I wavered, while getting a fear gripping tightness in my gut. It sharpened and pained, as I grew more and more anxious the further we got.

"The worst you'll have to worry about are the Caterchipillars, but we're too close to the grass that they shouldn't bother us. We're almost out," he soothed, while gripping my hand to help me over a few branches he almost tripped over, and continued to hack at anything that was in our way.

"So, you don't remember how you got here?"

I shook my head, absently. "You're the one who said I came from the sky."

"Come now, if you remember Kadowaki-"

"I remember her from...somewhere else that has nothing to do with where I was last. All that I know is that I was on my couch, with Yutaka."

I took out my necklace, fearing of what happened to him. Poor Yutaka, I hope he's alright. What happens if he was sent here, too? If he fell from the sky and he's dead somewhere? Did we both do something to wind up here?

"Griever? strength, power, and courage. Symbol of the Lion. How did you get that?"

"It was a gift," I said, a little too quickly then I wanted it to sound. Great, now he's going to become suspicious.

"From Squall, I'm assuming, since he's the only cadet who has one?" he prodded, while leading us out of the woods.

At the mention of the hero's name, I blushed. That's right, I guess their all here now, aren't they? The idea of Squall handing me the Griever necklace had my insides jittering, like some wild chocobo, trying to break though my stomach.

"I guess you can say that," I shrugged, while walking onto the orange brick that leads to Balamb. I knew that nothing would hurt me, once on the brick.

"This is as far as I go. Cid will have a sodding 'go about' if he saw me even sixteen sneezes from the gate. Just keep on walking in that direction . Nice meeting you, Lisa."

"Direction..." I trailed, at the ironic words, watching his retreating back, until he disappeared back into the forest, then continued to walk.

Well, I guess this is it. My life has seriously took a turn in delirious land. I'd play along with it. I always wanted to come here anyways, right? Of course, I did, but did I really want to end up like this? I mean, I was hungry, thirsty, and my clothes looked like hell. My clothes?

I looked through my bag, relieved to see that there was a few outfits in there, along with socks, underwear and other accessories. My make-up bag was even in here! As much as I was happy, I was confused as to how they got here. I noticed a black piece of paper and I started to tear at the ribbon holding it in place.

It read:

Dearest 'Gift Teller',

I take it with your ability to 'foresee' the future, you will come in great use for Balamb. Every bit of magic lies within a strong imagination. Just remember that there is no set path and to just follow your heart.

Yours Truly,

Hironobu Sakaguchi

Yours truly? So, it was Hironobu who did this. Oh, sweet Hyne. Hyne? I did not just seriously use that word and what's with this 'Gift Teller' thing? Granted, I could probably pull it off smoothly, hands down, but what happens if I mess something up? It could change the results of Final Fantasy III.

It's just great when someone puts the whole 'world's balance' in your hands. Then again, I could just stay with someone. No, that won't work. They won't keep me in Balamb unless I'm a student or someone of great importance. I lack both.

"Gurrrgggllleeee."

What? it sounds like an upset stomach and it isn't mine. I slowly turn around, awaiting the worst. Please don't let me anything serious. Please. Please. Please. As long as it's not...a...a...a...Caterchipillar!

I took the opportunity to take Brandon's advice on running, 'Dead On'. My legs were already aching and I had only been running for twenty seconds. The green bug slugged and slithered behind me, mewling out more gurggle sounds.

"Help me." I breathed, unable to catch my breath to make it any louder.

I looked behind me once again, shaking as the Caterchipillar advanced on me, quite swiftly. Oh, shit. My arms were limp and I could feel myself slowing down. My legs were rumping against the ground and I was heaving for air. I always sucked at running, possibly why I got kicked off of five different track teams.

"Hel...help...me," I growled, while finally reaching the gates of Balamb Garden.

With all the strength I possessed, I shook the gates, wildly. That Caterchipillar was still coming at me! I pressed my back against the cold steel and fear overtook my body. I was immobile to move, to breathe, or to think, as blue lights sparked and traveled around my body. Then, all went black.

I am so high, I can hear heaven
But heaven...no, heaven don't hear me
Someone told me
Love would all save us
But, how can that be
Look what love gave us
A world full of killing
And blood spilling
That world never came
Now that the world isn't ending
It's love that I'm sending to you
It isn't the love of a hero
And that's why I fear it won't do

Disclaimer: Alright Folks, that's the end of the second chapter. I wonder what's going to happen to Lisa.

Seifer: I killed her.

Disclaimer: ...right.

Seifer: You should have seen it, hahaha. God it was great. One minute she's by the gate, next minute she explodes into a
thousand peices. Hyne, it was awesome.

Disclaimer: (Looks nervously at screen, then back to Seifer) You asshole!

Seifer: (Takes remote in hand) This may get violent.
