The Assistant

Tidus Spardas was Seymour's assistant. To be frank, he did whatever the man told him, no matter if it was the most ridiculous request. He was paid highly, though it was a pretty fucked up job. The previous night hadn't been easy for anyone, especially with the noise and shrill screams of pleasure from the imported girl from the neighboring continent. Really, he wasn't in favor of this, because to be truthful, he'd always thought that, like the rest of the 'toys' his father bought him, she'd quickly be tossed aside. Amongst the rest of Seymour's slaves, however, there was one girl that had always caught his eye.
She had beautiful brown hair and multi-colored eyes. He didn't know her name, but it was true---he was interested in the girl. It would never work, however. If he even laid a hand on the girl, Seymour would kill him. There was no doubt about that, seeing as even though no one else suspected it, Tidus truly knew that the man was crazy. It was a highly logical fact, seeing as he had previously killed two of his slaves in the most sadistic way possible. Today was a particularly good day, even if they were on sensitive grounds involving a newly-found land. He stood at the door to Seymour's chambers, sighing slightly. Eventually it opened, and the man held a finger to his mouth, glaring daggers and wishing death if the blond dared to speak.
Tidus raised an eyebrow questioningly, wondering why the man was acting like this. Seymour turned, lightly pulling the doors closed. Blue spiked hair gleamed in the prism lightning, and so did his silk robes. “Forgive me for asking, sir, but why were you being so quiet?” Pausing for a moment to think, he looked back up at the Guado. “It's as if you're sneaking around.” Seymour shook his head, lightly smirking in a way.
“She's sleeping,” he stated simply, beginning to walk down the steps of the staircase, Tidus at his heels. “I do not wish to wake her.” Tidus' eyebrow quirked, yet he shrugged it off, merely sighing. Seymour, after a moment or so of silence, began to walk further down. Of course, Tidus continued to follow him. “What is my agenda for today, Spardas?” He suddenly asked, spinning around to face the blond once getting down to the first floor, near the doorway. Tidus fumbled in his clipboard for a moment, quickly finding the thin paper schedule.
“Three meetings and what looks like... Dinner for two with Gabriella Vantrese at the Lucan cafe? Sir, I thought that the new girl was gonna be...”
“Don't remind me,” Seymour hissed, obviously annoyed of the situation as expected. Tidus, once looking down to the floor lightly snickered, earning a strong punch to his upper arm. Seymour glared, the corners of his pale lips twisting into a smile as Tidus groaned, rubbing his arm for a moment as he fell to the floor. Yes, he had more than likely deserved that, so he said nothing as he stood again. It was true that he felt himself a bit too weak to do anything, but it was also because the man purely scared him. “Now,” Seymour began again, looking at the boy for a moment, “Is there anything that could get me out of that fucking dinner?”
Tidus was quick to look, and he sighed lightly, trying to find the words. “Well... You could go to that banquet tonight...” After a second of thought, the Guado's lips grinned, and it was obvious that the man was pleased. Tidus sighed happily.
“For a skittish little brat, you certainly do make a fine assistant. Schedule that in for me, will you?”
“Yes, sir.”
Seymour left the room, the large maroon door slamming shut as he carelessly pushed it. Next to it, one of the cathedral style windows cracked, and Tidus shook his head. Ergh, with the spare time on his hands, he'd might as well get it fixed. As he left the mansion as well to the small shop, two green eyes peered at him, the black swirls not registering in the shadows.
