When Worlds Collide
We don't own Square or the charecters in there games but we wish we did. XD - Zell Man
When Cloud woke up he was lying on the floor and Vincent was standing in from of him. "Get up sleepy head."
"Huh?" The ex-SOLDIER looked around 'what where?' he looked at Vincent confused.
Vincent threw him painkillers and helped him stand up. "What the hell passed in your head?"
Cloud looked at him. "Reno came yesterday."
"What did he say?"
"Nothing... we're meeting at 11 today."
"Don't you think that's a bit dangerous?" Vincent said a eyebrow raising a bit.
Cloud took two painkillers and reached for his drawer. "Why would it be?"
"He's a Turk they tried to kill us remember."
"I know" he stripped his shirt off and put on a clean one. "But I've been missing him..." he said with a little voice
"Cloud have you lost your mind?"
"I'm probably still drunk." he said trying to take back what he said
Vincent looked at Cloud with concern "Maybe you should take a day off Cloud. Sleep for today"
Cloud changed pants and looked at his friend. "You don't understand..."
"...He is the fill in for Rufus Shinra, did you know that?"
"He is the president" He smiled. "I didn't know but I'm surprised."
Vincent looked at Cloud and gave him a look that said whatever,"Fine get your ass in to trouble but don't say I didn't warn you Strife." he walked out of the room in silence
Cloud looked at his watch, 10 am. He walked down the stairs and ignored Tifa before getting out of the bar
Reno was in the cafe in Kalm it was already 11:45 am. "Where is that asshole?" Reno said fustrated looking at his watch.
Cloud finally got in the small cafe. He smiled. "Sorry I had to explain myself"
"Finally, I thought you might have forgotin about me." Reno said waving for him to sit down.
"Like I could forget you." He kept his sunglasses on, the noon sun was giving him a headache
"You look like hell"
"Hangover." He rubbed his nose and ordered something to eat.
"Geeze I thought you still had a good tolerance or did you over drink your limit?"
"Over limit."
"Oh, That's not good what were thinking?"
"Nothing, that's the problem." He streched out
"Really, Cloud I've known you for 17 years don't think I don't know how you work. What were you thinking about?"
"Nothing really. Heard you were filling ShinRa's place."
The waitress brung the plates of food to there table and set them down in front of them.
"Anything eales gentlmen?" the waitress asked offering a smile and a nod.
"No thank you" The redhead replied.
"Not for me, thank you."
Reno picked up his drink trying to avoied the qustion taking a sip.
Cloud took a bite of his breakfast. "You're really replacing Rufus?"
"*mumble mumble mumble*" Reno stuffed his mouth full of pasta
Cloud smiled and toke another bite.
"So what you've been up to lately?" the fill in asked swaloing his food.
"Delivering everything anyone asks me."
"Wow, odd job never pictured you doing somthing like that" Reno said grabbing the garlic bread and taking a huge bite like he haven't eatin in days.
"Well I have to pay my bills so..."
"Hmmmmm...True." The redhead said mouth full.
Another bite, he looked at Reno, thanking god that the sunglasses covered his expression.
Reno's phone rang, "This is Reno"
Cloud took the occasion that was given him by the distraction. Years made the Turk sexier to his opinion.
"WHAT?! GOD TSENG! You don't have to know my exeact position all the time. Should I call you when I have to shit to?" Reno said in annoyince and sarcasm. He waited for the head of the Turks to reply.
"Sorry Reno, but I have to know if you can be in any possible danger." The Wutai said adjusting his phone back to his ear.
"I'm in Kalm for Gods sake, Tseng if you call one more time I'll Kill myself you wouldn't have to worry about anyone elase doing it beacuse I will." Reno said, anger leering in his voice a bit.
"Geez Reno calm down"
"Fuck Off!" Reno hung up the phone and was back to normal smilling slightly as he saw Cloud looking at him
"Let me guess... Tseng?"
"Yup" the redhead took a drink of his water
"You have something important to do today?"
"Huh?" Reno said confuesd a bit."Oh no, why?"
"You told Tseng where you are. In about twenty minutes he'll be looking for you here, so I thougth... If you want to take the day off..."
"I'll way my options... Piss of Tseng by not being here or go to the office and be so fucking borad I kill myself. Hmmmmm.... I'll go with option 1" Reno said smiling devilishly.
Cloud finished his meal and payed before getting out the door. "I'm waiting for you."
"Where we going?"Reno said getting up paying his half and grabbing the last pice of garlic bread.
"I have no idea. Want to go somewhere particular?"
"Uhh...not really"Reno said looking at Cloud's bike. "You pick, I'm tiered of making dicsions"
"Get on." said Cloud already sitting on his bike.
Reno got on stuffing the bread in his mouth and got on.
Cloud felt strangely good about Reno holding on to him. Reno just nuzzled in the blond's back not noticing he did so. They got on the highway and Cloud speed up again. Reno held on tighter as he looked at the surroundings of the open fields they wen't past. Cloud entered Midgar and got in a alley. He rode until they got to a ruined building with a great view. Reno looked at the back of Cloud's head, 'He has nice hair' Reno thought to himself as he got off of the bike.
