Confussion
Authors Notes: All disclaimers are in first chapter as is the full description of the story. Okay as I have said this is an AU, so far AU in fact that I am not even fallowing what happens in the Game, though they will fallow the same path, the game just doesn't happen. I love Seymour to much to kill the evil bastard, I am having a hard time fighting him in the game, cause I don’t want to kill him, though I think that I just hurt him badly not kill him, at the Macalania Temple. Is that spelt right? Oh well now On to the story! Oh yeah Again I am on my mums laptop so I have to write it on the input text box.
~~~~~
Auron rushed through the lodge, pressing the limp and shaking form of Tidus to his chest. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with the boy, he seemed to be suffering from a cold or a really bad flu, but the potion hadn't helped. All the other remedies that Auron knew of wouldn't work, simply enough because they were specially designed for a specific ailment, where as the potions were designed to heal and cure sickness. Auron didn't care, that his worry and concern were written on his face, he didn't care that he was worrying the other guardians and especially Yuna. He simply didn't care about them, all of his attention was on the small form held protectively in his arms, Auron didn't know what he would do if he lost the boy now. In many ways Tidus was his son, more so then Tidus's own mother's. He had raised the boy the longest, he had cared for the boy the most deep. After all he was the only living connection he had to his lover and husband Jecht, but not just because of that. No Tidus had captured his heart, as any child would when he first meet him, and through the stories told by Jecht, not that he would ever show it.
Auron held the boy even tighter as he kicked at the machina locking system on their rooms door. For all of his pretending and all of his attempts to distance himself from the boy, it hadn't worked and now looking down on the pale drawn face, that was covered in a light film of sweat, a grimace of pain marring Tidus's features, he regretted that decision more then any other he had made. Placing the shaking body in his own bead he ripped of the thick cover off of the bed Tidus had slept in and covered him with that as well. He didn't care what the other would think when they got to the room, he quickly slid under the top most cover and curled his own form around the boys. Auron closed his eye and softly began to hum the song of the Fayth, it comforted him and he could feel the tense body of his adopted son relax slightly, though the shakes never subsided.
It didn't surprise him when Lulu, Wakka and Yuna quickly joined him, he hadn't expected Kimahri to come. Opening his eye once more he looked around the room, he wasn't surprised that both Yuna and Wakka were sitting nervously on Tidus's bed, where as Lulu stood against the wall directly in line with the small space between both of the beds.
"What’s wrong with Tidus?" Yuna asks softly as she clenches her hands together worriedly, her normally bright two toned eyes were dull with worry.
"I don't know." Auron says with a low sigh as he curls his bad hand around Tidus, tighter. "I went out side to find him, after waking up to find his bed empty. I found him kneeling on the ground out of breath and shaking horribly. I tired a potion but it made the shaking worse, by the time I got to the doors of the lodge he was unconscious." Auron told them, mostly to Yuna and Lulu they knew more about magic and spells then Wakka and more then likely himself.
"We will stay here then." Yuna says quickly with a determined nod of her head. "We will stay till he gets better or till a true healer comes through." she finishes as she slowly reaches out and grasps Wakka's hand, her own small one shook slightly.
"Hmm." Lulu hums softly as she looks on the shaking and shivering form of the boy held protectively in Sir Auron’s arms. She had suspicions about their relationship but she couldn't nail it down pat. Now adding in how Auron was reacting the this mysterious sickness that Tidus had caught her suspicions were only dubbed. "I am sorry Sir Auron but I have not come across something like this in my travels or study." she says softly as her eyes soften slightly when they boy cries out in pain and tries to curl up tighter under the covers.
The group jumped slightly, at the sudden opening of the rooms door, Lulu already had a lightning spell on hand when Kimahri came through the opening before once more shutting the door. His yellow eyes were flecked with orange, and a low growl could be heard.
"Lady Yuna, Measter Seymour here to speak with you." He says before walking to the farthest corner of the room, his patients with the half-Guado already too thin. Kimahri took a deep breath before he froze and his eyes immediately sought out the shuddering and pain racked body of the boy, He took another deep sniff just to be sure. "Not mated. Mate not come yet. Not good for boy." He says softly, too softly for any one else to hear.
"I will go see him in the hall, Tidus would not like too many people seeing him like this." She says with a nod, her understanding of Tidus, shocking even Auron. Lulu nodded as did Wakka, Lulu raised her hand when Wakka went to stand and fallow Yuna.
"I will go with her, you guard the door. As Yuna said Tidus' will not like any one else but us see him like this." She finishes before fallowing her summoner out the machina doors to meet with Measter Seymour.
~~~~~~~~
Lulu and Yuna walked down the well lit hallway, a short distance before they meet up with the waiting Measter. Yuna and Lulu held back a gasp at the Guado half-breed, his appearance had changed slightly, from the last time they saw him. His hair had lengthened, and darker strands of blue as well as silvery stands where mixed in with the ocean blue color, his eyes were a liquid looking silver shot with their normal blue hue. His nails were longer and darker as well, but the one thing that caught their eye were the blue markings on the Guado’s face, they were thicker more prominent as well as the fact that they covered all of his face and even went down his throat to stop at his chest.
"Lord Seymour." Yuna whispers as she bows slowly before the man, as she stood up fully, both herself and Lulu caught the confusion, anger and disappointment in his mercury eyes.
"Lady Yuna." Seymour says in his soft voice as he also bows to her. "I wasn't expecting you here, but when I recognized your Ronso guardian I had to at least say hello." He says as he rises gracefully from his bow. "On my way down to the lodge, I thought I saw two of your guardians, one seemed hurt, is everything okay? And is there anything I can do?" He finishes as he locks eyes with the young girl before him.
~~~~~~~~ (Same time as the above conversation only in Seymour’s Pov)
Seymour waited impatiently in the hall, where his mates Ronso guardian had left him. He figured that one of the guardians would come to him, either carrying his mate, or they would lead him to her room. He was getting anxious, his mate surely had to be in much pain. He hissed to himself as he berated himself for taking too long to find out where she was in Spira. At the sound of foot steps he stood up straighter and forcefully stopped his growling. Seymour barely held back his shock at the sight of Yuna, walking perfectly fine, unaffected at all by the mating season. He stood still as they came to stand before him and bow. He took in a deep breath, to take in that lovely, haunting scent, but nothing came. The delicious scent of honey and musk never came to him, instead the scent of jasmine, moon lilies and an underlying sickening sweet smell. He had to force himself not to shake his head and snort, trying to get the scent out of his sensitive nose.
"Lord Seymour." Yuna says softly as she bowed low before him, her guardian respectfully lowers her head. Seymour watched them rise and couldn't hold back his confusion, anger and disappointment, He had expected and assumed that the girl before him was his mate. But here the girl was standing before him fine, the scent that had called to him for so long wasn't her scent. This was all wrong, he had smelt the sent of his mate, so filled with purity and power, and yet it wasn't from her. He had to hold back another growl of anger, he should have known not to just assume that because he smelt that scent from around her that it was indeed her. Disappointment rushed through him, his mate was out their somewhere in Spira, in pain because he had made a childish assumption.
"Lady Yuna." He says softly as he bows respectively to her. "I wasn't expecting you here, but when I recognized your Ronso guardian I had to at least say hello." He says as he rises gracefully from his bow. "On my way down to the lodge, I thought I saw two of your guardians, one seemed hurt, is everything okay? And is there anything I can do?" He finishes as he locks eyes with the young girl before him. He hoped by showing his concern for the Guado intended he could informally meet her other guardians, this allowing him to single out the scent of his mate, or at least disqualifying them as his intended.
