The Boy Who Found The Dark One.

What if Tidus came across Anima, after he arrives in Spira, receives her aeon, and thus becomes a summoner. SPOILERS. This is just a thing for all of you that wondered ‘what if so and so happened. AU. Contain slight reference to Final Fantasy X-2.

Tidus’ POV:

I find myself, not in the temple anymore, but on a ship with strange people, there all speaking a strange language, that I cannot understand, well I guess I should do what they say, but then I hear Elena speak into my mind

/ These people are known as Al Bed, Tidus whatever you do don’t tell them you have an aeon, ok? /

/Why not? /

/Because I have a bad feeling about this. Do you trust me my summoner, and friend? /

/Yes Elena, but when should I summon you? /

/ When the time is right, and when I will tell you. /

Well I did and what she advised and followed their instructions, even thought I couldn’t understand.

Well after the dip in the ocean with that girl Rikku; well see was the only one I could understand anyway. After telling her I was from Zanarkand, she warned me not to tell anyone I was from there, an d also taking into consideration, Elena’s advice, made sure to remember that for the future, and then me and Rikku and I chatted for a while. About the events in Zanarkand, but not about my encounter with Elena.

“ Hey you know, if you play Blitzball, you should head for Luca.” I look at her in shock.

“ Luca?”

“ Yes Luca, it’s the main place were Blitzball players gather, so I am sure someone will recognise you.”

“I guess…” But before I could finish my sentence, a gigantic surge of water appeared out of the water and hit us. Then last thing I heard was that the people called it Sin. Auron told me the thing that attacked Zanarkand was called sin. Is it the same thing? Then as I thought that I blacked out.

Again I wake up, but now I hear voices.

“ Is he awake. Look he’s moving. Someone tell Luzzu.”
“ Yes Captain Wakka.” And the sound of running could be heard as I lay there. Then I feel sand under my fingers. I am I on a beach? I see a tuft of red hair for a split second, before I fall back into darkness.

Wakka’s POV:

When I woke up this morning I thought it was going to be an ordinary day, but it’ not. The other players found a body on the beach, so they asked me to see if was still alive, God can’t they see if something’s dead or not? Oh well, after coming and inspecting the body, well I could see it was a man, most clearly, how he got here is anyone’s guess sin perhaps, but that’s the only explanation now –a days ya. Well better get him back to the village.

When we arrived Luzzu approached us.

“ So you brought the man from the sea with you Wakka?

“ Ya, can I put him down somewhere, perhaps in the temple?” Luzzu nodded at this, and I proceed to the temple, and place him in the room left of the stairs to the trials, and I fall asleep by his side.

Normal POV:

Tidus heard voices around him, from two people, but then Elena spoke to him.

/They are saying a summoner hasn’t come out from the cloister of trials yet Tidus. I think you should help. Know that you can only enter the trials if you are a summoner or guardian, but since they don’t know that, go anyway, for they will soon find out the truth anyway. No matter what they do don’t stop. /

/Ok Elena, you know I’m not yours or anyone’s puppet, right? / Elena laughed at this.

/ Yes I know Tidus I am here to guide you, and advise you that’s all. / And with that she fell silent.

Tidus got up after he heard the voices gone, proceeded into the temple and up the stairs, the priest yelled at him to stop, but he just ignored it, and entered the cloister.

After many twists and turns following Elena’s instructions, Tidus came to a wall. He touched the glyph located there, then the wall exploded
Showing a treasure chest, and when opened flashed the sign of Anima

/Wasn’t that your sign Elena? /

/Yes, those who manage to open all six of these hidden treasures and are able to find the ruins you found, may accept me as there aeon. If I agree so that is. /

/ I approached you, and there was no…barrier, but there was the sound of shattering glass. /

/ That was the seal braking. I did that, all I wanted was company, and hoped to have a summoner once again. You see my last one was not satisfied with my aeon, he wanted more power and died…/ She fell into silence for a moment and then continued to guide Tidus to antechamber.

He met Wakka on the way and together they entered via a lift, then after Lulu glared at Tidus for a while the door opened, then Anima spoke.

/ Soon it will be time. The other aeon can and will allow you to summon me when it is time, don’t be afraid. / Soon after and young women exited, and fell Kimari caught her, she was weak, but managed to stand up.

“ I’ve done it I’ve become a summoner.” And all of them left.

The priest scowled him, and then Yuna went outside to show off her new aeon. Valfor came shooting out of the sky and landed next to her, but when she tried to dismiss it. It did not go.

“ What’s wrong?” Yuna said but the aeon stared at Tidus, then all eyes turned to him, and Elena spoke.

/ It is time my summoner. / He approached Yuna who looked at him curiously.

“ You know that thing. That aeon that’s standing beside you, I have one too.” At this, the people booed, and a priest said.

“ If you really have an aeon then show us.” Elena gave a silent nod, as Tidus, walked past Yuna, her guardians on the defensive, ready to strike.

Tidus held out his right palm and raised it in the air, and at which the sky grew dark, and a chain like hook came down hit the ground and disappeared for a few moments in a black pit, and started pulling something up. Meanwhile the villagers, priests, Yuna and her guardians looked on in awe, as Anima emerged from the dark, and towered over the small group, letting out it’s wail.

“ Is that an Aeon?” Lulu said in amazement, she looked at Kimari, who spoke.

“ Yes. Ancient. Powerful. Can sense so.” Yuna, Wakka, and Lulu looked at him; the priests looked on in wonder and amazement at the boy they had just shunned. The boy who held such a powerful aeon.

“ Such power. Praise be to Yevon. “ They whispered, as they did the prayer. The villagers whispered among themselves.
Then Yuna approached Tidus, and bowed at him with great respect. Tidus was shocked at this, since he too had just become a summoner, so he thought why was she bowing to him, anyway Elena told him to dismiss Anima, and did so by waving his left hand, and at which it dissolved.

Tidus suddenly collapsed then, Yuna dismiss her aeon, (now able to) and rushed over to the fallen man.

“ Lets get him inside.” Said Lulu.

Wakka Luzzu carried him off to a near by hut. Then a priest gestured for them.

“Lady Yuna, and guardians, please follow me (talking to the villager) can someone tell us when he awakens.”

They stopped outside that temple and started to talk about the aeon, and Tidus’ arrival to Besaid. They looked at Wakka’s tent where the boy from the sea now lay within
