Arms of steel
ok so heres chapter two please review it
Rhys eyed the bar as he approached it. The sign called it Seventh Heaven. The place was old and rundown just like everything else
in the slums. Tifa walked up the stairs and motioned for him to follow. Rhys looked around at the people who were coming in and
out of the bar. Most that came out were excessively drunk while those going in were sober. As Rhys walked up the stairs he could
already hear loud music and singing. When he walked in he sidestepped a bottle as it came flying at his face. Tifa waved to him
from behind the bar. Slowly Rhys made his way through the crowds of people till he got to the bar. He found an empty seat and sat
down. Tifa was busy handling another customer so Rhys entertained himself by looking at the different drinks she had. Soon she
came over to him and sat a plate down in front of him.
"Go ahead and eat. You earned it." Rhys smiled and looked at the food. It was a small meal. It looked like some kind of poultry.
He only hoped it wasn't chocobo. As he ate Rhys began to feel great. Finally something to quench his hunger. He ate slowly
savoring each and every bite. It was amazing.
Time went by and soon Tifa closed the bar. As the rest of the patrons got up to leave so did Rhys but Tifa grabbed his arm and
pulled him back down into his seat. "You don't have to leave yet. Stay and have a drink." Rhys shrugged and turned forward to look at her. "So what would you like?" Rhys looked over the stock again then simply choose to have a jagerbomb.
"So Mr. Rhys whats your story?" Rhys sat his drink down and began to think. Just what was his story. Where to start to tell this
hell of life.
"Well I guess the best place to start is where I was born. I come from Wutai. When I reached adulthood I left and began to travel. I became a merc and traveled from city to city." Rhys stopped and drank the rest of his beer. Tifa then took the empty bottle and gave him a new one.
"What brought you to Midgar then." Rhys stopped at this. His face grew dark and he became very serious.
"The war. When I learned of the war between Wutai and Midgar I went home. But I was too late. Wutai lost and my mother died on the battlefield." Rhys stopped talking at this.
"I'm sorry Rhys. I didn't mean to bring up bad memories." Rhys looked up and smiled.
"I've gotten over it. I traveled all across the world for years searching for her killer. But when I learned where he was supposedly I was again to late. Someone beet me to him. he was already dead and gone. So I came here to Midgar looking for work. I could have joined SOLIDER but I'd die before helping ShinRa. Evidently no one needs a merc here in the 'great' city of Midgar."
There was sarcasm in his voice and he made no point in hiding it. He hated this city and the people who ruled it. Tifa stood and looked at him seriously. He could be of some help she thought. But what would Barret say. Well Kami only knew what went through that mans head. It couldn't hurt could it.
"Rhys would you like a chance to earn some money and deal some damage to ShinRa at the same time?" Rhys raised an eyebrow at the girl.
"You don't take me as the kinda person to be a rebel. Are you being serious?"
"One hundred percent. I can't tell you what we'd be doing but you seem like . . ." Tifa stopped to look at the man who just walked in to the bar. Rhys turned to look at the man. He was a huge black man in a green vest. His right hand was gone replaced by a gun arm. Sitting on his shoulder was a little girl in a pretty pink dress. The girl jumped down and ran over to Tifa. Tifa picked her up and hugged her.
"Hello Marlene." She turned and looked at the man. "Hello Barret." Barret raised his gun at Rhys.
"You, out, now." Rhys raised his hands and stood.
"Thank you for the meal Tifa it was welcomed." Tifa waved to him.
"Rhys just wait outside a moment." Rhys turned and walked out of the bar. He stood back against the entrance. He wondered what the problem was.
"Who the hell is that and why are you offering him a job to help us. We already have to pay that fool friend of yours Cloud." Barret looked at Tifa with a sour face. AVALANCHE couldn't afford this. Tifa looked at him with pleading eyes.
"He saved me earlier. I saw him fight you could use his help for this job. He's good."
"Do you even know him? Maybe he's a spy. Do you really trust him?" Tifa simply shook her head with renewal and it closed the conversation. Or so she thought.
"Fine if you trust he's that good we'll see. I can only afford one merc. So go get your boy. They will have to fight for the position." Tifa's eyes went wide.
"You can't do that."
"Yes I can. Now go get Cloud or neither get the job." Barret turned and walked out to talk with the man standing outside. Tifa
slumped her head and walked over to the nearby pinball machine. She hit it and the machine moved down into the basement. There was Cloud sitting polishing his massive buster sword. Tifa walked up behind him and placed her hand on his shoulder. Cloud didn't even turn to look at her.
"Time to go already?"
"No not yet Barret wants to test your skills against another merc." Cloud sighed and put down the sword polish and put his sword on his back. he turned around to look straight into Tifa's eyes with his own green mako eyes. Tifa looked upset.
"Whats the matter?"
"Go easy on him he's a good person." Cloud nodded and walked over to the pinball machine with Tifa on his tail. The two rose up to the main part of the bar.
Meanwhile Barret was outside talking to Rhys. The rebel leader had a look of pure distrust on his face. Something Rhys was used to by now.
"I know Tifa offered you a job but we can only afford one merc. So your fighting against the other candidate." Rhys shrugged not caring. He thought to himself if he knew the other merc. He hadn't met to many other mercs here in the city. It was at this point that Cloud and Tifa emerged. Rhys showed no concern at the site of the man. He was no bigger than Rhys and looked not much stronger. But that sword. How was he to fight against such a massive weapon empty handed? Almost as if sensing his worry Tifa handed him simple sword in a sheath. It had been hanging on the wall in the bar and was purely ornamental. It wouldn't do much against the other mans sword but it might at least save him for a moment.
Just then the remaining three members of AVALANCHE came walking up just in time to see the two men take their positions in the street. Biggs walked over to Barret.
"Hey boss whats going on?"
"Just watch."
The two men were in their starting positions. Nothing moved and everything was quiet. It was Cloud who spoke first.
"I'm sorry we have to do this but you won't beat me." Rhys smiled at the man.
"I don't think you know who your dealing with." Cloud smiled. It didn't suit him very well.
Cloud moved first charging in at Rhys swinging his massive sword straight across from left to right. Rhys stepped back just enough to see the blade miss. But he could feel his body moving to slow for this fight. Of course the blanket. It had remained on him this whole time. Rhys grabbed the blanket and threw it from his body revealing his face and body for the first time to Cloud and the rest of AVALANCHE. Cloud seemed to do a double take at the site of Rhys's ears and tail. It was now that Rhys moved in
swinging his sword like lighting. But Cloud brought his buster sword up and blocked all the shots.
On the side Barret let out a low whistle. He had never seen anyone fight like this before. Tifa on the other hand frowned. She had seen Cloud fight before and she could tell he was starting to get into it. Which meant trouble for Rhys. She only hoped that Cloud didn't kill the demi-human.
Cloud's sword moved just as fast as Rhys's as he began to push him back. Then with a sudden strength Cloud swung and knocked the sword from Rhys's hand. Rhys looked away and regret it as he turned back to see Cloud's sword glow blue as he jumped straight up into the air and let out a call of his limit.
"BRAVER!" Cloud came down at Rhys with a massive strike, one strong enough to kill. Tifa let out a scream as Rhys brought his arms up to block the attack. The sword hit and the ground exploded creating a crater several feet in diameter. When the dust settled Cloud wasn't standing over Rhys's severed body but instead was balancing on his sword which was resting on Rhys's arms but not cutting through them. Cloud's eyes went wide with shock. Rhys looked up at the man and smiled.
"You didn't think I'd be that easy did you." Then something sparked on his arms and electricity seeped from them. Then the holographic projectors gave out and Rhys's true arms became visible. Two bionic arms made of pure steel. Cloud smiled. He had seen these before. But to see them on some ragged poor man. Just who was he really.
Rhys pushed up and out throwing Cloud back. He then sprinted over to his sword and picked it up. He turned to face Cloud who's
back was to a nearby telephone pole.
"So you want to use Limits eh. Fine here's mine." Rhys sword began glow if you could call it that. A dark shadow energy began to envelope the sword as he returned it to it's sheath. He crouched down into a weird stance. But cloud had seen this before. He had to move.
"BATOJUTSU!" Rhys charged forward moving faster then what half of the AVALANCHE members could see. Only Barret and tifa's eyes followed him. Rhys came to Cloud and was a mere foot away when he drew the blade. Cloud moved just in time and had jumped in order to save himself. The was a loud ping as Rhys's sword snapped and sent the main part flying through the air. Cloud landed safely behind him. But that was it. Barret stopped the fight.
"The winner is Cloud" he proclaimed. But Cloud shook his head. He hadn't won and both him and Rhys knew it. "Why are you shaking your head. You broke his sword, you won."
Cloud's eyes fixed on the man he just fought. "No the sword broke because it couldn't handle the attack. I didn't even touch him" Barret looked at Rhys as he stood up from his kneed position.
"You're good. No ones ever dodged my batojutsu before." Barret screamed at him.
"It doesn't make a difference you were so far off it wasn't even funny." Rhys looked hurt.
"Far off. You better look again." With that Rhys walked over to the pole were Cloud had been. With one finger he pushed on it. Instantly lines snapped and the power went out for the entire area. The pole fell to ground with a loud crash. The spot where Rhys had cut with his sword had made a clean slice straight through the pole.
"If he had hit me with that my sword and I both would be laying on the ground in two pieces." Barret's eyes went wide. The both of them were so strong. It was Tifa who spoke next as she had snuck up behind Barret.
"So Barret you think you've changed your mind about hiring both of them?" Barret jumped at the sound of her and then frowned. So maybe Tifa was right. They were both worth the money.
"Fine fine. You're both hired." With that he turned and walked back into the bar. Tifa congratulated them both as the rest of the rebel group entered the bar. She then followed suit. This left Cloud and Rhys standing face to face in the middle of the street. It was Rhys who spoke first.
"Nice sword." cloud smiled.
"Nice technique." Rhys smiled right back and the two walked into the bar for a drink.
The rebel group had gathered in the bar and had begun to drink. Rhys had began to get to know the other members of the group. He met and learned their names. There was Biggs and Wedge who were mostly muscle, Jesse the bomb technician, and of course Barret who was the leader. Cloud spent the entire time though sitting at the bar with Tifa. He didn't once answer the groups calls to get up and come join them. As the night wore on the group began to get more and more wasted. It was this time that Barret asked Rhys the question he was not wanting to answer.
"So whats with the tail and ears? And where the hell did you get those sweet ass arms?" Everyone went quiet as they focused on Rhys. Even Cloud turned to look at the demi-human. Rhys let out a sigh and began to explain.
"I come from Wutai. Awhile ago I left in order to train. But then the war started. I returned but before I could get there I was captured by ShinRa. I was behind enemy lines trying to assassinate the general when it happened. The next thing I new I woke up in a tube with these arms and these ears and this tail. I broke out and ran. I could never return home so I left. Eventually I came here. During my travels I learned my mother died in the war. She was murdered in cold blood. So I made it my life to find her killer. But as I told Tifa. When I caught up to him I was again too late. He was killed by another already. So I continued to travel. That's when I arrived in Midgar." Rhys hung his head at this. He didn't like to talk about his past. It was Tifa who spoke after several minutes of silence.
"All right I think that's enough drinking for tonight. We've got a long day tomorrow so lets get some sleep. Rhys you can sleep downstairs." With that the group went their separate ways. Barret went to his room and Rhys went downstairs and fell into a nightmare ridden sleep. Meanwhile Cloud remained seated at the bar. He and Tifa had things to talk about.
"So Cloud do you think Rhys was telling the truth?" Cloud shook his head and sighed.
"I think he's being semi truthful but not entirely. But what really happened is his business and his alone." Tifa came around the bar and wrapped her arms around him.
"What about you Cloud. How are you feeling." Cloud turned to look at her. As soon as he did she put her lips to his. They were warm and he could taste the rum and coke on her lips. She was drunk but so was he. Their lips stayed together for what seemed like hours. Finally they parted but there was still a connection. They retreated to Tifa's bedroom. Tifa laid down on the bed and Cloud came up on top of her. Once again his lips met hers. They kissed passionately for several minutes. Then cloud broke away and began to move down to her collarbone. Tifa let out a light moan at the pleasure she felt. her hands came up and began to work through his hair. Cloud undid the straps of her bra and pulled off her wife beater. Her breast filled into his hands and then some.
"Oh Cloud your lips are like magic." Tifa began to let out more and more moans. Clouds hands massaged her breast while one began to move down over her body and to her privates. His mouth soon rested over her breast and his tongue went back and forth over her.
Tifa let out a loud moan but then put a pillow over her head so as not to wake the others. Slowly and slowly Cloud moved down to her privates. His tongue fond her clit and began to go in and out. tifa couldn't hold it and began to scream pure pleasure into her pillow. Her hands came down and grabbed his head. Her body was covered in sweat.
"OH please Cloud. I want you. Please stop teasing. Just do me." Cloud acknowledged her and removed his pants. Slowly he slid it in. Tifa once again screamed in her pillow. Cloud began to pump in and out starting slowly and then going faster and faster. Tifa could feel her peak coming.
"Cloud I can't last much longer. Cum with me." Cloud acknowledged her by going faster and faster. Tifa let out one last scream, realed back, and had her orgasm. Cloud let out a low moan as he too came. Tired and exhausted the two of them passed out in each others arms.
