Chapter 1
Crimson Redeemer
After Cloud had said his goodbyes Vincent had stood outside trying to gather his thoughts. His emotions were a whirl wind of anguish in his heart. The things that had happened to Cid were something the gunner had never hoped to be fall the one he held most dear. He would not even wished it upon his worst enemy. Dark ebony locks caressed his pale cheek as he hung his head in shame, blaming only himself for the hell Cid had went through. There was scream from inside the house and Vincent rush in. almost leaping up the stairs. The door nearly broke off the hinges from the force as Vincent barreled through the door. The pilot’s eye’s were wide and frantic, tears gathering in the edges.
“Cid?” Vincent kept his voice as calm as possible for his lover’s sake. At the sound of his voice azure eyes calmed and relaxed quickly gazing around the room trying to find it’s owner.
“Vincent?” Cid’s voice was small and scared.
“Yes Cid it’s alright now you are home and safe. I promise to never leave your side again. Azure eye’s closed while the blonde took a deep calming breath.
“Now nothing will be the same again Vincent. Leave me now. I do not want you to get involved.” Vincent carefully walked to the bed and released the bonds on the aviator.
“Do you really wish me to go?”
“No.” he words were choked as he reached out with shaking hands to his crimson eyed beauty.
“But how could you stay with me after what I’ve done. What I’ve become.” Vincent took him by the hand.
“No matter what has happened I will always love you. I do not know all the things that have happened but I time I hope you will tell me. Cid it’s time to start your recovery.” Cid opened his eyes but dare not look at Vincent.
“It’s too late now. They will be coming for me soon. You must leave now. They will kill you if they find you.” Vincent stood as he could already feel the presence of several individuals enter the front door.
“Cid what to they want?”
“Me?” He said in a great choked sob. Unhosltering Cerberus Vincent made his way to the end of the bed determined to protect the pilot. As six men entered the room he raised his gun in full out protector mood.
“Leave now and no harm will come to you.” His voice was deadly serious but it seemed to no effect on the intruders as several more entered the room and Vincent’s heart fell at this. There was no way he could take them all. The one that first entered the stepped forward and smiling sadistically began to speak.
“I don’t know who you are but he is our property of his own free will so I suggest you step aside and be a good boy.” Crimson eyes glared death at them all.
“I will do no such thing.” As Vincent made to step forward Cid’s hand shot out to his.
“Leave now Vin, don’t stay. They will only hurt you or even kill you and if I stop that I will.” Cid slowly sat up and stood wavering slightly on his feet.
“Just leave him alone. I will come with you. He is no importance anyway.” Vincent turned in shock at his lovers words and did not realize the smiling man had snuck up behind him. Still looking at Cid Vincent’s vision blurred as he was struck across the back of the head. Only just barely conscious he felt Cid’s hand on his back as he lay face down.
“I was for your own good Vin. Don’t worry about me. You just go live your life. I’m not worth saving. If only you knew the things I’ve done. Remember Vin. I will always love you from the bottom of my rotten little heart.
