Chapter 2
Fall of the Place We Called Home
“Catherine!” A short aged woman yelled from outside her house. A young woman who could pass for Zack’s twin stood from her spot in the garden.
“Yes mother?” Catherine replied from her spot.
“Zack’s on the phone.” Catherine quickly ran to her mother. Her mother held out the phone to her. She picked it up and held it to her ear.
“Zack?”
“Hey little sis.” Zack’s voice shook slightly.
“Zackary Leon Fair…” Catherine warned.
“Sorry I haven’t called been busy with missons ya know.” Came a nervous laugh from the other side of the phone.
“You got a lot of nerve to call after 1 year of nothing!!” Catherine screamed.
“I know I know but I’ll be home really soon.” Catherine blinked a few times with a lost expression. “Tell Mom and Dad, I’ll see them soon, love ya sis, bye.” Then the line went dead.
“What is it sweetie?” Her mother asked with worry as she watched her daughter’s reaction on the phone.
“Your son is coming home.” She said monotone, suddenly her mother fainted.
“Honey?” A tall older male walked out of the house, looking at his fallen wife then his daughter. Catherine just shot him a look and he shook his head. Bending down to pick up his wife then turned to walk into the house.
“About damn time he comes home.” With that he disappeared into the house. Catherine just ‘hmph’ed and then looked up into the sky.
“Stupid Zack.” She pouted then bended down to grab her basket.
“Catherine Fair?” Catherine turned and gasped.

Zack and Sephiroth stepped out of the helicopter. Sephiroth noticed Zack was nervously twitching after calling his sister. He remembered screaming from the other end of the phone and Zack’s fallen expressions. He didn’t asked what happened, knowing it was none of his business. Zack looked at Sephiroth and gave a nervous laugh.
“Catherine wasn’t all that happy when I called so I’m a bit nervous on going home.”
“You’re afraid of your younger sister?” Sephiroth said with some humor.
“NO! It’s just, she’s scary when she’s pissed.” He ended softly. Sephiroth laughed and Zack just looked at him.
“So she is a total opposite from you, this will be interesting.”
“And you just laughed? The all serious Sephiroth just laughed?” Sephiroth just walked away. Zack ran to catch up. “Hey that’s a good thing at least now I know you’re human.” Before Sephiroth could plunder about that, he got an uneasy feeling; Zack must have felt it too by his sudden serious expression. “The house is up ahead, knowing my sister she might be in the garden I’ll check the house.” Sephiroth nodded and they both quickly made their way to their destination.
Sephiroth watched as Zack disappeared into a small cottage. Sephiroth wandered through the large garden looking for Zack’s sister. Just as he was about to give up he saw A young woman with her back towards him. He made his way to her, noting her long straight black hair and the simple blue dress she wore.
“Catherine Fair.” He said when stood behind her. She turned around and gasped. ‘Zack was right, they look just a like.’ He thought.
“You’re Sephiroth, the 1st class SOLDIER Zack’s been ranting and raving about.” She smiled distantly. Before another word was spoken they were surrounded by Gensis copies. Sephiroth quickly pulled her behind him and drew his sword. They all charged and in a blink of an eye they were on the ground and Sephiroth stood up straight.
Catherine couldn’t believe her eyes. She was stunned and in shock. ‘What was going on? What the hell were those things? Why is Sephiroth here? Where is Zack?’ So lost in her millions of questions she almost missed Sephiroth telling her they should go inside. She nodded and the two ran for shelter in the house.
A/n: Okey so I’m rusty with writing, have had a writer’s block for what seemed to be ages. So my grammer and some other stuff will be a little off but yall will forgive me for that right? Lol. Well don’t forget to review! Lol
