Warnings: beating
Notes: Alright. The warnings gives you a clear sign that we are getting to the horrible things in this story. Squall’s memories.
I apologies for the long time it takes me to update. I really is a faster writer than this, it’s just this stupid story that has some mental problem. *lol*

I’m sure you’ve noticed the two last chapters aren’t beta read. Hope you’ll want to read it anyway.

[Seifer]
He quickly followed her. Shiva walked beside the machine and through the wall. Behind them Squall rose and walked away. Seifer frowned. Had Squall wanted to leave Rinoa there?

They stepped out in the D-District prison. Seifer swallowed. If they were to see the memory where Squall was tortured by Seifer… Seifer wasn’t too sure he could take that. Shiva stepped forward, but soon stopped. Seifer stopped beside her. They where at plane… 5?

: : What..? : :

: : Silent : :

Seifer shut his mouth at the order. Soon enough, a group of men came walking. Two carried a stretcher, and two walked before them. Seifer blinked as he saw that an unconscious Squall was strapped to it. Shiva followed the four men as they had passed.

: : Wait a moment. How can he remember this when he was unconscious? : : Seifer asked confused.

: : I was awake : : Shiva answered simply.

[Irvine]
He almost felt human three days later. The Elder of the Shumi had given him something to drink that tasted horribly, but made wonders.

Quistis paced back and forth in the room. Zell was jumping around, kicking and hitting the air. Rinoa stood by a window, thoughts far away. Irvine sat down in a cushion with his own little sunshine in his lap. Selphie irritably smacked his hand away and glared at him. Irvine just smiled and she sighed with a look saying: “Hopeless case”.

Irvine’s hand just as fast started wandering over her again. He couldn’t help himself. He was an unyielding slut and he had been without anything for days. He wanted a little of his Selphie and he was absolutely itching for it. He nibbled her earlobe and tickled her side.

“Irvine, behave,” she hissed, but she was slightly blushing so he wasn’t that unwelcome.

He was about to answer her as the door opened. They all stopped with what they were doing as the impressive Elder entered. Black eyes eyed them one and one. Of all of them, Squall had been the one trusting this creature the most. Why, Irvine couldn’t understand. You would figure the most antisocial and hostile of them, would distrust this creature.

“I understand you wanted me something?” the Elder said softly.

Irvine arched an eyebrow. Well, that was very straight on. Unusual from their earlier experience. Quistis nodded.

“We are looking for Squall Leonhart and Seifer Almasy. We believe they are here or have been here,” she said clearly.

The Elder eyed her for a long time.

“No, I’m sorry, they have not shown up.”

They stared at him and Irvine frowned. Well… What should they do now? He sighed a little. He couldn’t concentrate. Not when he had Selphie in his lap and still wasn’t feeling really well.

“I don’t believe you.”

They all looked at Rinoa. Her dark eyes studied the tall man. They were all silent, even Zell stood still and quiet. The Elder sighed.

“I can’t do anything about that. You are welcome to stay until you feel ready to leave,” the Elder said softly and smiled warmly at them before walking out.

When the door shut, Zell cursed and banged his fist into the floor. Quistis sighed and massaged her nose between her eyes. Rinoa glared at the door. Irvine held a little harder around Selphie’s midsection and nuzzled his face in her neck.

“What’d we do now?” she wondered.

Quistis shook her head.

“I don’t know,” she sighed.

“We go look for them, of course,” Rinoa said firmly.

They all looked at her. Selphie crocked her head and dangled with her legs.

“But Rin… He said they weren’t here,” she reminded softly.

“He was lying… I can feel… something. There’s something here. Even the GF’s reacting to it.”

“I can agree with that, but there’s nothing we can do,” Quistis said sternly and tired.

They went silent again. Irvine clenched his teeth as an agitated headache started throbbing. He wasn’t junctioned. The Shumi healers had said it was best if he didn’t touch any GF or magic for awhile.

“Selph, I’m tired,” he whined in her hair.

She turned to look at him with that suspicious look that said that she thought he had some kind of agenda.

“Go rest then, Irvine,” Quistis said without looking at them.

“Better yet, we all take a break until dinner. After that we make a new plan,” Quistis ordered even if it looked as if she wouldn’t take a break.

Irvine welcomed her order. In fact, as he followed his sunshine, he was sure the headache lifted just a little. He was absolute sure about it, especially as he got to lay his hands around her midsection and inhale her shampoo.

“Irvine! Behave, you’re still sick,” she growled and opened their room.

“Un, but you’re the best medicine,” he murmured and bit after her neck.

Inside the room, she turned around and glared up at him. He tried kissing her, but she just pushed him away. When she felt at his forehead with her hand, he kissed her wrist.

“No, you got a fever,” she said sternly and backed away from him.

He almost whined. Of course he had a fever! Especially a few feet down his body.

“That’s no excuse,” he whined and followed her inside the bedroom.

They had gotten one of the large rooms that had one living room and then a bedroom. Selphie had already prepared the medicine when he got in. He sighed and fell down on the bed. Guess his goddess had decided to be cruel just this day. When Selphie sat down on the bed to feed him the potion, he saw the deep worry in her eyes.

“Hey, I’m going to be okay,” he smiled.

Selphie first blinked at him and then she hit him with his hat before throwing it at a chair.

“I’m not worried about you. I know you’ll be okay,” she said confidently.

“Then it’s about Squall an’ Seifer?” Irvine said trying to sound hurt.

“Of course. Seifer may be a though guy and a great fighter, but he can’t carry that burden too far,” Selphie said quietly.

Irvine blinked slowly. He was tired. The headache started to ease, but he got very tired instead. The Shumi had said that rest and sleep was the only sure cures.

“He’ll be okay too,” he said sleepily and curled up by Selphie.

She started stroking his hair and back. He liked that, it made him feel safe. No other woman had been able to give him that. They had either not been trustworthy or they had always depended on him to be the strong one.

“Maybe… I just wish we were with them, you know? Squall’s our friend too,” she whispered.

Irvine hummed something as an answer before dozing of to sleep.

*****
[Seifer]
They were in a facility that lay somewhere cold. Seifer didn’t know more, so didn’t Shiva either. They were still following Squall’s unconscious body.

: : How come you was “awake”? How could you see anything that Squall didn’t see? : : Seifer asked silently.

What he had learned, the few times he actually listened in classes, was that a GF wasn’t more than a tool. It was like a symbiotic that you controlled. You decided what it was going to do, when and how. You decided how it was to junction and to what. Shiva glanced at him.

: : Lion cub has the ability. You has it too, but you don’t listen : : she answered calmly.

: : I don’t understand what you say. It didn’t answer my question : : Seifer persisted.

Shiva frowned and thinned her blue lips.

: : Squall listens. Always dose. I listen, we hear each other : : Shiva tried again and then glared at him.

Seifer kept silent. Listen, huh? The Elder had spoken about people that listened. He still didn’t understand. Seifer figured it didn’t matter right now.

: : Where are they going? : : he asked instead.

: : To There : :

Seifer rolled his eyes but didn’t say anything. He so much more preferred Ifrit. At least Seifer understood the GF. A deep chuckle from within him made Seifer flinch.

: : Ifrit? : :

But all answer he got was a distant purring. Seifer frowned.

: : He is with you, but your connection is weak, if it had been stronger he could have been with you : : Shiva said as if she was making any sense.

: : You know you really need to start learning how to make understandable sentences, right? : : he smirked and Shiva actually returned a small smile.

They floated through a wall and ended up in darkness. Shiva grabbed his hand and they floated out of the darkness into a little room. Seifer swallowed. The room only had a door and chains to a wall. In those chains an conscious Squall was shackled. His leatherjacket was gone as his belts and glows and boots and jewelry. Not just his pendant, but also his ear pearls.

The door suddenly opened and all three looked to it, Squall rose. Seifer’s eyes widened at the man’s entrance. It was a tall man, about Seifer’s length and weight. He was around ten years older, though. He had brown hair with colored white stripes, and green eyes.

“Good day, Squall, a pleasant travel I hope?”

The man’s smile was that of a shark’s. The green eyes show no joy, no emotions. Squall stood silent without flinching or looking away. The man crossed his arms.

“Strip.”

Squall arched an eyebrow at the order. It passed sometime when no one of them said anything or moved. The man tightened a jaw muscle.

“Strip.”

Squall rebelliously lifted his chin and clenched his fists. As some more time had passed, the man sighed.

“Stubborn, are we?” he muttered and slowly stepped forward.

Squall avoided the first right hook, but got a knee in the stomach and then a elbow in his head. The man was fast. Without Seifer noticing, he’d started walking forward, but Shiva caught him.

: : It is a memory. I show you a little bit for you to get used : : she explained and he stared at her.

In the meanwhile, the man had fisted Squall’s hair and kept him kneeling to the ground, neck exposed. Out of his pocket he took a shocker. He placed it to Squall’s neck and triggered it. Squall screamed.

He started squirming and fighting to get lose, he got another shock against his neck for his fighting. A new scream. Squall clawed at the man’s hand and flailed after the shocker. The man put away the thing and gripped Squall’s arms. With some easy maneuvers, that he obviously had done hundreds of times, he back chained Squall and let him go.

Squall was panting and almost growling as his hair was fisted again. Without a word he got three more shocks. The man then straightened him and meet dilated gray-blue eyes.

“Do you want to strip?” the man murmured softly, as if he was talking words of love to a lover.

Squall got himself together enough do glare death in the man. No words needed.

Seifer was ready to puke by the time the man hade electrified the brunet so many times he blacked out. Seifer himself was on his knees, fighting all feelings surging in him. Anger, helplessness, selfhatred. He himself had tortured Squall.

Shiva placed a gentle hand on his shoulder as the room slowly disappeared around them.

: : It was only the first time : : she said as if it would be some sort of comfort.

: : What will happen? : : he asked quietly.

Shiva looked down at him.

: : Lion cub needs you, Seifer : : was all she slowly said.

And it was enough to make him silent and nod his understanding.

Author’s whining:
*big sigh of relief*

At last! I’m where I never thought I would be!! Near the end…
