Chaos looked around in satisfaction. Cloud had left for the store;They did want to eat that night, after all.
"And he didn't even have time to pick a bed." Chaos smirked.
/Well, he hasn't been here since we got here./

Chaos heard footsteps approaching. /He's home. I'm going to stay out for a bit./
Vincent said warningly. /If you try anything-/

The door opened and Cloud walked in, arms holding more bags than one would think possible.
"Chaos? Mind taking some of these?" Cloud panted.
Chaos gently removed the heaviest from Cloud's arms.
Cloud looked around in amazement. "Wow. You guys are incredible."
Chaos carried the bags to the kitchen. "Thank you."
Cloud carefully began to place everything in its proper place with Chaos's help. They finished quickly.
The demon led Cloud to the bedroom farthest from the library. "Here. All of your bags are unpacked and in place."
"Wow..Thanks, Chaos."
Chaos purred slightly. He stepped forward, holding out one hand to Cloud. The blond looked at it, almost in confusion, before placing a hand on it. The demon smiled and his fingers wrapped around Cloud's smaller hand. Cloud looked up to see the demon smiling slightly, the corners of his lips upturned.
"Chaos?"
Cloud said the name slowly and hesitantly, almost as if he were trying it out.
"Yes...Cloud?"
Cloud noticed the sensual way Chaos said it before he continued. "Are you...normal now?"
Chaos asked. "What do you mean by normal?"
"As in, I'm...safe?"
"Cloud, you are always safe." He knew what the blond meant. He also enjoyed seeing the red cross his pale face.
"No...Chaos..I mean..."
Chaos sighed. "I know what you mean Cloud. If you mean my actions at Gold Saucer, then that was only partially normal."
"Partially...." Cloud whispered.
Chaos grasped his hand tighter. "Cloud, please listen."
"I don't want to lose you."
Well, it wasn't a lie. He didn't want to lose him. Chaos had to admit, Valentine's choice was... adorable. He was naive almost. Very endearing.
"Cloud, give me a chance." A chance to take you from Valentine.
Cloud looked at him uncertainly. "You're trying to apologize and tell me you're totally different now?" He almost laughed.
"Yes, Cloud. I want..."
"I want your love."
