"My...love?"
Chaos looked away. Was that what he wanted? Yes, he thought so. If he loved him, maybe at night...
"Yes, Cloud."
Cloud chuckled. Chaos looked at him, only to see hurt in the blond's eyes.
"Chaos...maybe you should have said this before everything that has happened."
Chaos frowned. "Cloud..."
The blond breathed slowly. He expected punishment, Chaos saw.
Instead, the demon gently kissed Cloud's head as he released his hand.
"We should eat."
Cloud watched as Chaos walked from the room. "Ch..."
The demon didn't hear him.
Cloud shook his head. How could he have been so comfortable? Did he learn nothing?
Maybe.
He followed him to the kitchen. "I'm not hungry." He murmured.
Chaos looked at him. "How is that? You haven't eaten all day."
Cloud glanced at him as he turned away, saying. "I'm not hungry."
Chaos worriedly watched Cloud walk away.
*-*-*-*-*
Scalding water dripped from Cloud's skin. It burned, but he kept the temperature the same anyway.
"Mmmm...." He closed his eyes, slowly running his hands through his hair.
His mind went to memories. Memories of other showers- ones where he wasn't alone.
He could almost feel the men of his dreams behind him, silver and black. He missed them terribly- even with Vincent around.
Cloud gasped and held tears back. They were gone. Nothing he could do about that.
But Vincent was here....
"Can you forgive me?"
Cloud murmured the words.
He could have sworn he heard laughter.
-Yes, Cloud.-
He heard their words, but didn't believe them.
"Cloud?"
Now, that voice he knew was real.
"Yes, Chaos?"
"Are you alright?" Cloud was confused.
"Of course."
"Alright.. I was making sure. You've been in there for over an hour."
Cloud groaned. Had it really been that long? It must have been- He didn't think Chaos would ask too quickly.
"I'm on my way out."
Cloud finished swiftly. He turned the water off and wrapped a towel around his waist. He opened the door to see Chaos standing against the wall.
"I'm sorry."
Chaos smiled. "It's alright. You were just in there for a while, so.."
"Yeah. I was.... lost in memories."
Chaos followed Cloud to the bedroom. "Valentine used to do that as well."
"..Used to?"
"Since you joined him at Gold Saucer, the memories have ceased tormenting him."
Cloud stopped. "They... stopped?"
"When you joined us, yes."
Cloud walked into the bedroom. "I..."
"I was surprised, to say the least. Maybe that is one reason I want you to stay forever."
Cloud hesitated, glancing at Chaos, before pulling clothes out of his drawer and dropping his towel to the floor.
Chaos watched on in surprise as Cloud's fingers released the towel around his waist.
The demon was instantly hard.
Cloud was well built- He had never really appreciated it before. Never just stood to drink in the sight of him...
Cloud nervously began pulling on his boxers, noticing the tent in Chaos's pants.
/.../ Vincent, too, was dumbstruck.
The blond man pulled on his shirt and Chaos wondered why Cloud getting dressed was a turn on.
Cloud, no pants covering his boxers, began to climb into bed, trying to ignore the incessant stare from the demon.
"Are you staying tonight, or will Vincent return?"
"..."
Cloud glanced up. "Chaos?"
"I..I am staying the night."
"Crawl in, then."
Chaos slowly approached the bed as Cloud pulled back the covers invitingly.
The demon slid in beside Cloud. The blond bent his knees, curling partially. Chaos instinctively wrapped his arms around Cloud.
-Maybe- Cloud thought -If I pacify him, he'll leave me alone.-
Chaos thought differently. He thought that if Cloud was willing to let him in the bed, maybe some night soon they could go further.
-T.B.C.-
Woo-hoo! Two chapters in one night! Gotta make up for that absence, after all.
