Beta: working on it
Notes: I know I’m a demanding writer and so on and so forth. This last month and a little more has been a pain in the ass.
I’m soon off to vacation too but hopefully, I’ll be able to uload something then too if I come across a computer with internet… Not easy out in the middle of nowhere…

Anyway.

Another chapter in this story. You know I’m living of your comments right? It doesn’t have to be about the single chapter. It could be about the progress or non existing progress or about the weather…

23

The air stood thick around him with every breath. It was the last day of Fenrir but it felt like the middle of Ixion in the air. The weather announcers threatened with early snow this year. Squall could very well be without it.

Snow and motorcycles didn’t fit well. Even with studded snow tires it was a risk every time he took a drive. He had fallen with his precious bike more than once and had to re-lack it. The brunet straightened from said bike and tried to warm his hands from holding the metal spanner.

During the winter he had to adjust the power in it. During summer he favoured high speed and fast acceleration, but during winter he needed to lower the acceleration and speed in favour to strength. Otherwise he would just end up spinning around like crazy or getting stuck somewhere or have the bike rear. Not a pleasant experience if you didn’t plan on doing it.

Some kids were running around chasing a ball in the backyard to the apartment building. He studied them as he took a pause in his work. As a child he had never cared much for sports. Especially anything that included chasing something. Like a ball. What was the fun with it? You just got tackled and trampled and elbowed. It didn’t exactly require much brain capacity to chase a ball and tackle others senseless either.

Squall knew most of it were just excuses for himself to not partake in it but didn’t care to change his attitude. Especially not now as he didn’t have to do any sports he didn’t wish for. Returning his attention to the bike, he set to build it back together the little he had taken apart.

Bikes had always come easy for him. Sure, it had taken some years before he knew the construction of a bike from the tiniest screw, but it was fun and so he guessed it was easy to learn. A chuckle way too close for comfort made him jump and turn.

Grey-blue eyes narrowed at the familiar sight of the cop. Annoyance easily surfaced and indignation quickly followed it. Having been given time to think about it that hospital incident hade just gotten worse and worse. At night he couldn’t help but turn and twist in agony about the “what ifs”. What if someone had heard them? Or seen them? And why by Hyne hadn’t he put up more resistance? Just thinking about it made shame and embarrassment make breathing hard and painful.

Promptly ignoring the man, Squall returned to the bike. Still he couldn’t come up with any reasonable punishment for the cop. It hadn’t been as bad as that time by the nightclub. Maybe that acceptance was what made him so agitated? Squall tensed at the tsk sound and at the cop walking closer. He easily walked around the bike as the cop was too close. Glaring up, he met sparkling green eyes. Almasy leered, easily recognising Squall’s try to stay out of reach.

“What’s this? No greeting. No happy faces?” The man close to cooed amusedly.

Squall snorted and eyed the blond with narrowed eyes. He had a hard time believing that the blond had been hospitalised just two weeks ago with two bullets in his body. Not even a sling or anything. Did you heal from a bullet wound that quickly?

“What are you doing here?” He asked frostily and felt no remorse for the harsh words.

Why shouldn’t he be suspicious of the man? Hyne knew he never had anything decent coming. The blond was just trouble and Squall had been lucky to stay out of it for this long. That hospital event should have taught him something and maybe this time he would learn the lesson. The cop shook his head in amusement, pocketing his hands.

“And here I thought we’d made some progress. I leave you alone for barely two weeks and you’re all teeth and claws again.” Seifer smirked though he didn’t seem regretful.

“I’m not teeth and claws.” Squall muttered and raised his chin defiantly.

He got a look that made him feel like a child which made him scowl and the blond to leer even wider which in turned made Squall even more embarrassed. In irritation the brunet returned to the bike.

“Then what about we close the garage port and turn up the heat?” Seifer smirked but didn’t move and so endured the ice-cold glare.

“See, all wild and untamed again.” The cop chuckled.

Squall rolled his eyes.

“What are you doing out here anyway, it’s freezing.” The blond complained as he gave the bike a once over.

“What does it look like?”

“Like you’re doing what any shitty mechanic can do.”

“Duh, excuse me for having a hobby.” Squall retorted dryly and a blond eyebrow arched.

“Then what’s all that paint and brushes in your apartment?”

Squall only gave a silent glare at the comment.

“Don’t you have a hobby to do at your free-time?” The youth growled.

“Of course I do, though it takes at least two for it to be really fun.”

Squall straightened and wiped his hands on an already dirty towel.

“I meant a real hobby.” He pointed out and got another smirk.

“Fucking is a real hobby. The definition of a hobby is that it’s supposed to be fun and something you do on your spare time.” The blond purred and Squall rolled his eyes.

“I’m not up for your hobby.” He growled as he started to put away what tools he had used.

The cop eyed the surrounding as if to find something interesting.

“Who said I’m here for sex?” He leered and Squall gave the man a pointed look.

The brunet pushed the bike back to the safety of the garage where it so far had been safe from thieves. Seeing the moving shadow, he quickly moved around the bike. Meeting glimmering green eyes, a shiver racked his body. There was definitely something predatorily dangerous in those eyes. He narrowed his eyes and moved for the exit to only have the cop mirroring his moves. Squall stopped, getting the same reaction from the man.

“I said I’m not up for fucking around.” He warned, being entirely truthful.

The cop hummed affirmative while keeping that predatory smirk and slowly starting to walk again. As the man rounded the bike, Squall debated weather to stand his ground or not. If he was still the cop would grab him and that would probably lead to things he had said he didn’t want. But if he started backing or tried running, he’d undermine his own authority and would show he didn’t trust either himself or the blond.

In the end his indecisive mind took too long and he was forced to stand his ground. He glared warning into those intense green eyes and tried steeling himself as his heart started pounding. As he had to tilt his head back to keep eye contact, he swallowed hard. One never truly understood how tall the man was before standing like this. Still with his hands pocketed, Almasy leaned down until hot breath grazed Squall’s ear.

“See? You didn’t run.” He purred and the tip of that tongue licked the rim of his ear.

Squall shuddered before clenching his teeth. With more strength than intended, he pushed harshly at the broad chest. He succeeded in making the man take a couple steps backwards, probably because the pocketed hands disturbed the cop’s balance.

“Who’d run from you?” He sneered while his heart was beating way too excited.

“Yes, who indeed?” Almasy purred but didn’t step closer again.

It calmed the brunet. Maybe they actually had some understanding? Maybe Squall just had to learn to be more firm? Somewhat comforted by the thought he past the blond and closed the garage once the man had followed, but as the cop followed him up to the apartment building and further, what little comfort had settled was quickly gnawed away. Half way up the stairs he turned and glared harshly.

“Stop following. Go home.” He growled before realising it sounded as if he spoke to a stray dog.

“And if I don’t?”

Squall clenched his teeth hard. Pulse and breathing picking up together with other bodily reactions. A confusing mix of excitement and anger made him a shaking mess inside. Squall should scold the cop for what he did, not react like some excited teenager. He flinched as the cop stepped up until standing only a step down. They were the same height for once.

“Want me to fuck you here?” Hot lips murmured against his, making the hair at his arms stand.

“You will not.” Squall said hushed, mouth too dry and heart beating too hard.

Almasy smirked and started walking upward, forcing Squall to stumble up the stair. Only a sudden hand at his upper arm kept him from falling. He was starting to ache. It had been tingling in his body for a while. Only now he acknowledged the ache building up. Once up from the stairs, Squall yanked free and braced himself with fisted hands to have the man stop. Damn it!

“You touch me and I will castrate you.” He hissed and a blond eyebrow arched.

“That’s a kinda harsh threat.” Seifer pointed but didn’t stop.

Squall hit the approaching chest and stopped the man.

“What did you expect after… that?” He hissed angrily.

The youth wasn’t sure who or what he was most angry at. Himself for his weakness or the cop for his arrogance. Maybe a mix? Almasy gave that dangerous smirk that made every nerve along Squall’s back tense.

“You mean the hospital? Why, I didn’t know you were unwilling. You sure didn’t seem so.” He purred and Squall almost showed teeth.

“Then you’re stupid and blind and your friend isn’t better off.” He growled.

The youth swallowed hard at the darkening of the green eyes even as that slight smile stayed in place. It made the man unnervingly unforeseen.

“Are you accusing us of rape?” The cop purred darkly.

“I wasn’t willing.” Squall persisted though this whole thing was starting to give him a nervous breakdown.

He hissed angrily as the man started walking again and slowly forced him backwards to the apartment. Strong hands gripped his when he tried to push the man away again. Trying to put his heels in or using body weight to stop the slow train of a man was useless. He drew breath to protest once more only to have a strong hand cover his mouth. Squall grunted as he was suddenly banged against his door, the large man smothering him against the hard surface.

His hand that already was trapped was easily forced above his head. A thigh demandingly pressed between his legs and stroked upwards. The youth gasped and forced himself to stay in control while he was swelling at a alarming rate.

“Then this is rape to?” The cop murmured and nibbled his ear.

The hand covering his mouth moved downwards and cupped him. Squall gasped again and pressed backwards into the door. Still he grew rapidly in the sure hand.

“You went too far in the hospital.” He grunted and twisted, not knowing if he wanted away or grind harder against the other.

Squall gasped sharply as the cop instead thrust their groins together while biting down hard in his ear. He fisted the blond’s jacket as the strong hand ran up and down his side.

“You loved it. Deep down all you want is to get down on all four and take it.” Seifer murmured and Squall glared.

Before a protest could be formed the blond smashed their mouths together. Squall’s head was pressed against the hard surface of the door because of the violent kiss. The youth groaned as their groins rubbed even harder against each other. His heart was beating, his breathing was constricted and out of rhythm. He was so hard by now it should be visible through the jeans. Hyne, he would loose himself at this pace.

Squall twisted to get loose, resulting in having his hair fisted to keep him in place. Struggling to be free only made him press certain bothered body parts against the other this in turn forced pathetic sounds from him. In desperation his hand easily found the supposed wounded shoulder. Before the cop could stop him, he banged his fist hard against it, earning himself a sharp hiss in pain and broken kiss.

Green eyes glared down at him and the anger there made him shudder. Strangely it only made his arousal harder. They panted sharply and glared at each other for awhile.

“I don’t have time. I’m supposed to meet that friend of yours.” Squall roughly said.

“Really?” Almasy said calmly and fished up the apartment keys from the youth’s pocket.

“Hey!” Squall protested loudly as his door was unlocked and they stumbled inside.

“I’m serious.” He growled and yanked at his hand that was still locked in an iron grip.

For a moment it looked like the cop either didn’t believe him or wouldn’t care. Squall yelped as his arm somehow was forced behind him and the awkward angle made him easily follow the blond’s movement which ended up with him face first in the wall. The other hand made his hips move out and the rock hard erection was grinded into him. Squall gasped as his neck was bitten.

“When, exactly?” Almasy murmured.

“15:30.” Squall close to whimpered as the hand around his hip circled to rub his groin.

The cop looked at his wristwatch Squall didn’t know he had. It had a golden tone but Squall wasn’t sure it was a gold-watch. Maybe just some fake copy. He gasped sharply as the hand quickly returned to his jeans and unbuttoned them. Another immature sound was forced from him as his cock was fisted and stroked.

“Stop! What’re you doing?” The brunet gasped desperately and struggled to regain his footing as his jeans and briefs was yanked down his hips.

“Don’t worry; daddy always takes care of his boy.” Squall cried out as two fingers entered him completely.

The pressure at his arm kept him from straightening and he banged his free fist in the wall in frustration. Squall cried out faintly as three fingers pushed inside and nudged that precious spot.

“Stop it, I don’t have time.” Squall whimpered and closed his eyes hard against the waves of arousal that rose in him.

He whimpered again as the junction between neck and shoulder was bitten and his anal worked harshly.

“And you think you would be able to do anything with this between your legs?” The cop murmured and fisted his swollen manhood.

Squall moaned deeply and panted loudly as he was stroked. He shuddered and groaned violently as fingers played with the sensitive head.

“You’re wet here and you want me to stop?” The brunet whined at the stroking and teasing of the sensitive column of flesh.

“Yes…” He moaned while his body started trembling from arousal and strain.

“Yes? That’s not what you’re supposed to say.” Seifer grunted amusedly and retrieved his hand.

Squall knew he was getting ready to enter that big cock in his body if the sound from a zipper and the ripping of plastic was any suggestion. A sticky thumb played with his anus and teased the ring until Squall whimpered. The heated cock pressed against him. The brunet cried out sharply as the thick head pressed inside. It hurt more than usual as the thumb was still inside.

Arousal and pain made him incapable of anything else than the breathless cries and helpless trembling as the big cock thrust that head in and out before plunging inside deeper.

“Aren’t you ashamed? You don’t want it and still you tremble like a bitch in heat.” Almasy murmured against his ear.

Squall cried out harder as the cock pressed as deep as it could go still with the thumb joining it. The cop thrust hard a couple times and made the youth cry out. Squall flailed a hand behind him and succeeded fisting the jacket on the man.

“Your thumb…” He gasped as the cock lazily plunged out and in to his body.

“My thumb? You like it? Should I add more?” Seifer murmured amusedly.

The brunet shook his head and whimpered. Sweet trickled down his back and arousal made his head spin.

“Hurts. Take it out.” He moaned and swayed at a heavy thrust.

His arm was released and rested against the wall. The brunet sighed as the thumb left him and the cock buried completely in him. He rested both hands at the wall as the hands around his hips moved him further back.

“You’re sucking me right in. This hole of your love cock, doesn’t it?” Seifer hummed and gave some shallow thrusts before withdrawing almost completely.

Squall moaned in discomfort and pleasure as the cop teased him with that thick cock head. Pushing in and out just barely passing the ring of muscle. The youth cried out as he was suddenly slammed into rapidly. It smacked loudly between them. The cock was withdrawn completely before plunged inside to the hilt again. The irregular thrusts had him moaning and shaking in seconds.

The cock was withdrawn completely and the thumbs entered instead. Spread him, teased him, played with the relaxed anus until it started twitching to close up again. Squall hitched at his breathing as the hot manhood pushed at him. The thumbs spread him. It plunged inside and Squall arched with a cry. With a grunt Almasy buried it as deep as possible.

“You just beg to be played with.” The cop grunted.

Reflexive tears gather at the pain and Squall couldn’t control his sounds of pain.

“Hyne, stop, hurts.” He gasped.

His fingers clawed at the wall. Squall gasped sharply as the big cock withdrew slowly to enter him slowly again. He wailed the whole time. His head was spinning crazily, his body trembling and tingling. His stomach was a hard knot from arousal.

“You are such a kinky, naughty boy. I bet you’d love to have a second cock instead of my thumbs. Filling you so good, fucking you hard.” Squall shook his head fervently as helpless noises of pleasure escaped him with every thrust.

One thumb left him. Instead three fingers pressed inside his mouth, forcing his head to the side.

“And a cock here, or two? Wouldn’t that make you happy? Four cocks filling your holes. You’d be a moaning mess, wouldn’t you?” The cop murmured.

Squall moaned around the digits while trying to shake his head. Hyne. He was so hard it was painful. Almasy grunted softly as he harshly started thrusting. Squall sucked and licked the fingers desperately. His heart would explode. He couldn’t keep his eyes focused. Desperately he fisted himself and stroked furiously. As the cock brushed exactly right, the youth cried out and arched.

His orgasm left him light headed and his vision full of spots. In the wakes of his pleasure he felt the cop tense and fill him. His legs barely held him and he was afraid he would crumble any second. A strong arm circled his waist and drew him up straight. Squall whined as he stayed impaled on the cock. He weakly gripped the arm which fingers still were in his mouth.

Squall complained as the fingers started playing with him. The arm around his midsection teased his slightly erect nipples. His ear was harassed and then his throat. The hand teasing his nipples travelled downward and made his hips buck as it circled his softening length.

“Cancel that meeting.” The cop murmured as he lightly moved the swelling cock inside Squall.

The youth shook his head but was badly tempted. Hyne, why was he so weak around this man? It was just pleasure, nothing that should ruin his life. Not that a missed meeting would but…

“Alright, better get going.” The blond muttered and withdrew from him.

Squall still shivered as he was helped to get dressed. He had made a mess of the wall. The blond opened the door.

“I’ll wait downstairs.” He announced before exiting.

In the silence Squall sunk down sitting on the floor. Hyne, what had just happened? He was still trembling. He needed to gather himself. He had an important meeting he was already late too.

The cleaning up and changing of clothes stole another seven minutes before he could go down. Exiting the apartment building he frowned at the sight of the cop leaning against his car smoking. He had sort of hoped the man would have disappeared.

“Took your time, we’ll be late.” He grumbled and Squall arched an eyebrow.

“Who’s this ‘we’?” He asked suspiciously and got a wide leer.

“Don’t be naïve. I’ll drive you.” He let go of the cigarette and stomped it out on the pavement.

Squall didn’t argue as he knew it would probably get him there faster than if he took the bike. Still it felt kind of unnerving to get seated in the car that had mostly lead to sex at earlier meetings.

As they drove in silence Squall found the slight nervousness from earlier had vanished. He had been a little worried about this whole tutor thing. He didn’t like teachers very much.

They left the slums and got on the highway. It didn’t take more than fifteen minutes before they left it and entered a villa neighbourhood. Nice with small lots but it were clean and whole and had this typical mom-dad-two-kids-and-a-dog feeling about it. It made the youth feel contempt about it all and its inhabitants.

The whole family business made him feel contempt. What was so great about a family anyway? He had never needed one and the few times he had been part of a so called family, he hadn’t found anything likable about it even if he tried.

“How long will it take?”

“I can get home on my own.” Squall answered quickly and the cop chuckled.

“Sure, but it still didn’t answer my question.”

Squall shrugged and looked out through the window again. They soon stopped by a larger house than the others. It was in wood and the garden seemed big. The whole lot was surrounded by a high fence that was covered by some sort of bushes. The garden was sleeping now in wait for the snow but it still held a harmonic and beautiful impression. Squall recognised the number and stepped out of the car. He was about to thank for he ride as the blond stepped out too.

“I think I can find it from here.” He said sarcastically.

“Yeah.” Seifer only answered as he locked the car and walked up to the house.

“Hey, I don’t need you being here.” Squall growled.

“I know.”

“Then go away.” Squall said frustrated.

He didn’t want it too look like he couldn’t do this on his own.

“Relax will you?” Almasy smirked as he knocked on the door.

Squall didn’t have time to answer as he door opened as if the man had stood at the other side. A rather tall and slender man with jet black hair and just as dark eyes opened. The youth blinked as he recognised the man as the “pirate-novel” looking guy from the bar. The man gave Squall a once over before frowning at Seifer.

“Seifer… This was unexpected.” He greeted and arched an eyebrow as if trying to determine what he should make of it.

“Unexpected is my middle name.”

“I thought ‘stupid-and-suicidal’ was your middle name?” The man said sarcastically and the cop gave a sort of sour-sweet smile.

“Word travel fast, don’t it?”

“Yes, anyway, you come at a very bad time. I’m expecting someone.” He continued as if he hadn’t just insulted the cop.

“I know.” Almasy said and motioned his hand to Squall before pushing inside.

Even as the man looked to be able to hold his own he was no match for the cop who easily entered with almost no pause in his step. Dark eyes returned to Squall.

“Squall Leonhart?” He asked with mild surprise.

Squall nodded and wished he could just turn back time so he never had to meet with the man. The knowing smile and glint to the dark eyes were enough to make his face colour.

“I see. I’m Teo Tornquist, nice to finally be properly introduced.” Squall nodded.

“I’m sorry I’m late.” He said awkwardly.

“No wonder if you let that brute tag along.” Teo muttered with good humour.

The youth entered as he was showed inside. The inside of the house was in wood and warm soft colours that somehow didn’t fit the man. The door was closed behind him and Squall started taking off his shoes and jacket.

“Straight down the corridor, second door to the right.” The man directed and Squall nodded.

Teo vanished off to what seemed to be the kitchen.

“Don’t come barging into other people’s houses.” He heard the man scold the cop.

“Don’t you have anything that’s not a vegetable in this damn thing?” Almasy muttered and Teo sighed.

“I’m not making you any tea because you wasn’t expected.” He muttered.

Squall hurried down the corridor. The house seemed family friendly and warm. There were bookshelves full of books in strict order and different small statues. There were also a lot of smaller paintings and art lining the walls. Teo had good taste. Somehow the house felt as if belonging to someone in the older middle age, not someone looking to be twenty-seven to thirty-five.

The room they were supposed to be in was like a mini classroom. It had a whiteboard and bookshelves full of different teaching books. There was a round table in the middle with five chairs and Squall sat down in one. He didn’t have anything with him as it hadn’t been required this first time.

Teo entered soon after and gave him a reassuring smile. He put down a tray with a teapot full of steaming hot water, teacups and a plat with sandwiches and cakes. Eyeing the man Squall had a hard time picturing him being friends with the cop or even being in that club. In the daylight and in the comfortable clothes he wore, he didn’t look as exotic and dangerous as he had in the club. Then again, anyone could look dangerous sitting in such a place.

“Didn’t know you two still saw each other.” He said as he sat down.

Squall didn’t say anything. It wasn’t like he had a choice, right? What did the man think of him? This was a horrible, horrible start. What if Teo thought he was useless at everything and continued tutoring him just because they both knew Seifer?

“Anyway, we didn’t speak much on the phone other than that you needed tutoring to the test in Quetzalcoatl. I took the liberty of checking your school background.” Teo started and Squall held himself as neutral as possible.

Inside he flinched. He had rather just started and go from there. He didn’t need the man to believe him more of an idiot than he probably already did.

“Why didn’t you finish ninth grade?”

Squall looked away at the question. Was this necessary? In that case he rather did this on his own. Teo looked down at the papers he had taken out.

“You don’t need to tell me if you really don’t want too, but it could help me understand. Up to the ninth you have excellent grades, so it surprised me to see that you hadn’t finished it.” The man explained and some tension left Squall.

“I just didn’t.” He said lowly and the black haired man nodded.

A snort from the door made them both look up. Almasy was leaning in the door frame with a glass of something orange coloured. Squall tried to give a warning look but apparently it was ignored or else not seen.

“He had an ass for a principal who blackmailed him, that’s what’s happened.” The cop sneered and Squall fisted his hands hard.

Teo so didn’t need to know those things. The youth’s heart started beating harshly against his ribs and his breathing started to feel constricted.

“I would appreciate it if you kept out of this. I’m sure Squall will tell me if he feels it is necessary.” Teo said frostily and Squall dared to glance at the tutor.

Seifer shrugged. After a glaring match between the men, Teo returned his attention to Squall.

“You had good results up to then so I can’t imagine that this is going to be so hard.”

Squall wanted to argue that point. The years he had been in school he had struggled every step on the way. He just happened to find some subjects more fun than others and some came a little more natural to him.

“I’d like you to make the last years test for ninth graders this first time, so we know where we stand.”

Squall’s stomach suddenly knotted up and became a cold lump. Teo smiled softly as if seeing his sudden nervousness.

“Don’t worry; it is to see where we can start and what your weak and strong sides are. It’s wasted time to study something you already know, ne?” He comforted though Squall didn’t agree.

Still he nodded and got more comfortable as the test was put in front of him together with a pen and eraser. As Squall eyed the paper, Teo made a cup of tea and placed it in Squall’s reach. Then he put a timer in the middle of the table. The youth felt his stomach knot even harder as the cop came over and eyed the paper over his shoulder.

“This is just another means of judging, just ignore it. If you find a question you have trouble with, just jump it and do the easy ones. Then you can return to the more difficult ones, okay?”

Squall nodded but felt afoul. He hated test. He hated time taking. Simply put it, he hated school with a passion.

“That’s a test for ninth graders? That’s so unfair. When I took it, it was so much harder.” The cop complained.

Teo rose and started pushing the man outside.

“I’ll come back when the time runs out. You have one hour.” He said with a strained expression.

Squall just stared after them for a while before reading the test. The first glance through just made him feel exhausted and weary. The first part was a word understanding. Connect the word to the correct meaning or a synonym. It was fairly easy. The next part was a read understanding. Read the text and answer the questions. He didn’t have any problem with the language.

The difficult parts came later. He jumped the math without even looking at it. Take the difficult parts later, right? He eyed the Estharian part. He knew a couple words but was uncertain at most and he eyed the texts, he would probably not understand half of them. Social studies weren’t so hard. Some more historical parts were hard but over all it was much that was self-explanatory. Some parts of science weren’t too hard either. Engineering was easy as well as biology but chemistry had always been difficult.

Still as Squall had gone through the test once there were more blanks than filled in places. It made him just feel even worse. Tests were something some evil force had come up with just to torture students. The brunet eyed the timer. Half the time had gone and not even half the test was filled in.

The brunet started with the Estharian part because it felt easier than the others. He got through the science and half the math part before the time called out and made him jump in his seat. As if having stood out in the hall, Teo returned quickly.

“How did it feel?” He smiled as Squall handed him the test.

“Fine.”

Actually it felt horrible. He had though those times from school and class was way behind him, that he was older now and had more self-confidence, but he had been horrible wrong. He felt just like the scrawny teenager he had been. The tutor sat down and started reading the test. Squall looked away as he though the man looked too displeased.

This had been a bad idea. The least he could have done was too find someone without a connection to the cop. People would just think less of him for relying on another. He didn’t need that. He could take care of himself.

Too soon for Squall’s liking Teo shifted and coughed before sipping his tea and looking up. He was eyed until he started flickering with his eyes.

“You surely can do better than this.” Teo said softly.

It wasn’t exactly what Squall had expected.

“It’s the time disturbing you, right? We’ll just work on that.” The man tapped his finger on the timer.

“It’s not so easy.” The brunet muttered and frowned at the timer.

“Sure it is. You didn’t get so good results through eight years just to have to start over in the ninth. That knowledge is still in your head, it just needs some polishing and adding.” Teo said as a matter of fact.

He eyed the paper again and Squall glared at nothing in particular. It wasn’t as good as the tutor said, he knew that. He hated it when people said things they thought others wanted to hear.

“We’ll start with the math. You obviously have a quick head but a little more theory and explanation is needed.” Squall eyed the place where Teo held his finger.

“Did you truly read the Estharian texts thoroughly?” Squall nodded as the man eyed him.

So what if he jumped a couple phrases and didn’t read it deeply?

“Well… more concentration. You have an excellent vocabulary for someone who hasn’t gone to school for years so this won’t be a big problem.”

Squall arched an eyebrow but quickly masked his face again. “Excellent” and a reference to himself in the same sentence had never been part of him before.

“A little study in Social study will polish your knowledge. The exact dates aren’t important, just the general knowledge of events and places and persons so concentrate on that when reading.”

Teo folded the papers.

“The same goes for science. We’ll make a couple experiments to prove a point and I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it.” He smiled encouragingly.

Squall eyed the man suspiciously. He made it sound so easy. As if it was just to read a couple books and that would be that. It wasn’t that simple. Right?

“What books do you have?”

“’Ninth grade’ by West and some smaller books.” He answered lowly.

The book by “West” had been Quistis’ tip. The tutor nodded.

“Bring them next time and we’ll see what we can use. “Ninth grade” is a good book. It takes up the most important things.” The black haired man threw an eye at the watch hanging on the wall.

“Our time is up but come next week the same time and do leave that disturbance at home, alright?” He smirked and Squall blinked.

“I heard that.”

The youth looked to the cop who was standing in the door and glared mildly at the tutor who just grinned.

“So? Trespassers don’t deserve politeness.”

Seifer sneered at it and straightened.

“Stingy… You’re done or what?” He asked instead and Squall nodded.

Squall was silent and quite moody as they walked to the door and took on shoes and jackets again. Seifer had a bag with him this time. Whatever it could be it seemed heavy as the blond made a grimace as he lifted it with the newly healed shoulder.

“If you ever tire of that one, we could go out.” Teo offered and gave a warm smile.

It made Squall blush. Such a smile made the man very charismatic and beautiful. A strong arm circled his throat and pressed him back against the cop.

“Trying to steal my toy again are you?” Almasy asked darkly and Teo smirked.

“At least I can try.”

Squall made himself free and gave the cop a resounding smack in the stomach. The blond huffed but nothing more.

“I’m not a toy.” He growled and went outside.

“Then you’re a pet?” The cop grinned behind him and the brunet rolled his eyes before giving the cop a sour look.

“Maybe I should shut you out for another month?”

It made the blond smirk dangerously.

“I’ll just have your landlord open for me and then you’ll be chained to the bed for a week.” He grinned evilly.

“Just try it.” Squall snorted and pocketed his hand before walking to the car.

“When do you go off your shift?”

The youth eyed the man suspiciously.

“Late, you know that.”

“Yeah, but when? I’ll come over.”

“I don’t want you to come over.” The youth mutter while getting into the car.

“You don’t want me to come and wake you up, right? Better if I just come by when you come home.” Almasy smirked and leaned over to him in the car.

Squall leaned away from the man in suspicion. He narrowed his eyes when he felt certain dread at this topic.

“I won’t open the door.”

“And I’ll just harass it until you do. Don’t be difficult.” The cop countered and Squall pressed his lips together hard while crossing his arms.

“I’m not going to sleep with you anyway.” He tried but by now he recognised that smirk.

“So when do you come home?”

Squall sighed heavily.
