The Boy Who Found The Dark One.

What if Tidus came across Anima, after he arrives in Spira, receives her aeon, and thus becomes a summoner. SPOILERS. This is just a thing for all of you that wondered ‘what if so and so happened. AU. Contain slight reference to Final Fantasy X-2.

Normal POV

Yuna and her guardians huddled in their little group, by the temple steps, looking at the hut where Tidus slept, and at which a few villagers waited. Lulu spoke up, breaking the silence.

“ This is a turn of events indeed don’t you think? A boy possessing such an aeon, washing up on our shores. He said he came into contact Sin’s toxin, but if he did then he would have forgotten how to summon correct?” He group made worried faces at this, the priest standing next to them butted in to the conversation.

“ Perhaps his aeon, protected some of his mind from the toxic. There is little we know of how the fayth work in harmony with their chossen summoner. I have no doubt that, what he called was an aeon, but I have never heard of it.” The group paid attention to him and frowned. Yuna spoke up.

“ What power, do you think that he possesses the final aeon?” But they all knew that if it was the final aeon he would be long dead, yet he was still breathing, Kimari spoke up once again.

“ Lulu, Wakka. You been on pilgrimage, correct.” They looked at Lulu and Wakka, who both sighed together. Wakka was the first to speak.

“ Ya, we were on the journey, a few years back, this will be my second.” Then he turned to Lulu who hung his head, sorrow laced in her voice.

“ This will be my third, my first only got as far as the Calm Lands, and there…she died.” Yuna’s eyes again. Everyone knew about Lulu’s and Wakka’s past up the their last summoner, but none before. It surprised the group even Kimari.

“ Since she died, and I didn’t know the sending, for only summoners are able to, I think she’s still there waiting. Unsent.” The priest and the group looked sorrowful at this, while Lulu felt weak and ashamed.

Wakka spoke up, but Lulu stopped him, and looked at the tent as she said what she did.

“ His power, even if he may only possess one aeon, makes Bahamut look like an ant compared to what he summoned, even thought it did not, move or act. I could sense it’s magical power, so strong, Bahamut would fall to it in an instant if it struck. What I sensed may not even be its full power even.” Yuna’s, eyes widened yet again the group also did this, the priest spoke his voice shuddering, the group knew of her ability, and also knew that it never failed, ever but now.

“ Lulu, you always right ya. Stop messing around ya.” Wakka joked, but was met with Lulu’s serious stare and gulped.

“Would I fool around with something like an aeon? No!”
The priest spoke his voice shuddering

“ An aeon that outranks even the King of Dragons?”

“ It seems so?” Kimari spoke once again.

“ Question. Where did he get the aeon? It not mentioned on piligramage, heard of no other summoners having it.” The group looked at him, at which Lulu nodded.

“ You are right, that it doesn’t appear on the pilgrimage Kimari. I wonder where he obtained it.” The priest rubbed his chin in thought.

“ Perhaps…” But he was cut off as a villager came up to them, bowed, and spoke.

“ He’s starting to wake up, Father, Lady Yuna.” They got up and headed toward the tent, people parting as they went.

“ Perhaps now we’ll get some answers.” Kimari said, the group was silent as they entered the tent.

Tidus' POV:

I wake up with a thundering headache, and then I feel Elena’s voice in my mind.

/ You did well, Tidus. Did you see the looks on their faces, so shocked and amazed? What do you think? /

/ Did they really do that? So then why did I collapse? /

/It was the first time you summoned an aeon. I expect that the other summoner and her guardians will want an answer, so it would be wise to tell them everything, including your encounter with the Al Bed, ok? And to remind you, I’m not controlling you just helping you. /

/Ok. / And at that point the people Elena talked about walked in. He noticed the stoic woman in the long black dress, walks up to his side, bends down, looks him in the eyes and says.

“ We need to talk.”

“Oh shit, Wakka said she was scary. No kidding.”

Normal POV:

The group sat around the little hut and watched Lulu, stare him in the eyes, and the expression of a deer in headlights look came over Tidus, and Yuna looked nervously from Lulu to Tidus.

“ Can you please explain, what happened to you and what you remember.” At this Lulu backed off, then Tidus started to matter.

“ First of all who the hell are all you guys are.” The group stared at one another and realised it was a rude thing, not to introduce themselves. Yuna spoke up for them anyway.

“ I am Yuna, the staring woman is Lulu (Lulu stared at her for a second), the redhead is Wakka, and blue lion is Kimari Ronso (Kimari pulled a face at this remark).” Tidus sat up and looked at the group then Lulu said.

“ Hi I’m Tidus.” The grouped nodded at this and Lulu continued.

“ Can you please explain how you possess such an aeon?” Lulu sat back when she had said this.

“ Well, it’s like this…”

Then Tidus went on to say how he stumbled onto and received Anima in some ruins. How he was discovered by the people called Al Bed and taken by them, made to dig up something up from the sea floor and finally said when he woke up he was in the temple.

When he was explaining this the groups eyes and faces where in shock.

“ You say, you stumble on a ruined temple, and received your aeon after speaking with the fayth?” Yuna said. Lulu looked a bit wary, while Kimari’s face was expressionless as always.

“ Well, she was all alone, in there for a long time. She’d lost track of time, I think. She also said that there was a seal, but had broken it for company, and that is when she offered to be my aeon, so I accepted being all alone you see. All I know is that summoners are here for the people.” Yuna understood and spoke up, but was interrupted by Lulu.

“ It’s seems that what you say is truth, Lord Tidus. Do you know of any of the other summons? Tidus shook his head. “I see. Well we welcome you to the Isle of Besaid.” She didn’t shake his hand, and Wakka looked at her with a funny face, for she only was this nice rarely and around people she trusted.

“ Why do you call me that?” Tidus said. Yuna spoke up this time.

“ It is the title given to a male summoner, as Lady is given to a female summoner such as myself.” Tidus nodded, slowly. “ Do you intend to have any other aeons?”

“ No I’ll stink with my own for now.” Yuna nodded, got up and headed out of the hut, her guardians followed. Kimari stopped, looked down at Tidus and said.

“ Come. Go to temple; get ready for journey ahead. Follow.” Tidus, followed, still a stranger in this land, weather or not Yuna and her guardians were his friends or not, they were there, to surport him, but he had Elena to assist him also, if he ever chose to go down his own path.
With that he followed Kimari to the temple.
