Birthday Party
Chapter 3
(BIRTHDAY PARTY!)
“Damn that Yazoo! I am going to strangle him with my bare hands when he comes back in here.” Yuffie cursed at herself as she tried to break free from the bonds. Realizing that the knots were too much for her to handle for the moment, she tried to think of what had happened next….

“Thanks for letting me crash over here Vince.” Yuffie thanked him as they walked up to the mansion as twilight came upon them. He said nothing as he pulled out the key to open the door. “Hey, Vincent?” she asked walking in front of him. “Yes, Yuffie?” He replied, expecting anything to come from the ninja. “How long can I stay here anyway?”
“As long as you need.” He replied calmly. “One more thing…” He closed his eyes, expecting the worst. “When are you and your mystery friend going to get together anyway?” He ignored the question as he pushed past her. She frowned, the question that was eating at her brain for a while still unanswered.

“I still wonder who his lover is…” she muttered as she tried to work on the restraints on her wrists and ankles. “AHH, THIS IS GOING TO DRIVE ME CRAZY!!!” She yelled to the images in her head.

The ninja crept around the mansion later on that night, trying to get used to her surroundings. It had been about three or four years since she had last been here and it looked like the monsters had just been exterminated. She knew that Vincent had tried to clean up, but it looked like the monsters did a better job.
She guessed that she could try to clean, but in all reality she knew even Vinny’s attempts would be better than her's. She sighed, trying to find the kitchen. As she passed Vincent’s room she could hear muttering coming from his room, and being the nosy little ninja she was, she took a peek…

She racked her brain to remember what she saw in his room. Something must have blocked it from memory, all she could remember was blond and black hair, skin all over, and a flash of light from a set of military dog tags…

She fell asleep that night with the urge to knock on Vinny’s door, but decided against it. She just turned over, not realizing that a pair of eyes watched her sleep soundly…
Day 2
She woke up the next morning to a hand shaking her. She weakly opened one eye to see Tifa smiling over her, “Morning sleepyhead, today is someone’s special day, isn’t it?” She said in a motherly tone to the still half conscience ninja.
“Who… Whose ‘special day’ is it?” Yuffie asked in a sleepy tone. “Well, come downstairs to find out.” The bartender said leaving the room. The half-awake ninja of Wutai stumbled downstairs to find everyone sitting in a clean living area.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUFFIE!” She couldn’t believe her eyes, everyone was there for her; Vincent, Cloud, and Cid were sitting down, while Tifa, Red XIII, Berret, Reeve, Marlene, Reno, and Rude were all standing around, looking up at her.
“I...I can’t believe that you… all of you… remembered… Thank you…” she said, a shy, small smile crept between her already cherry red cheeks.
“Of course we remembered, you’re one of us Yuffie, we wouldn’t forget the youngest member of Avalanche.” Red XIII said, walking up to her and rubbed his cat like head against her leg.
Yuffie smiled as she petted his head, then looked at everyone, and said, “Well, what’s everyone waiting for, I’m up for a party!”
