CHAPTER 3

A familiar hiss brought Loz and Yazoo's attention away from one of the wall's in their room. Nanaki rolled a small cart into the room, a tray of fruits and waffles brought tantalizing scents to both of the men's noses. When Nanaki turned and walked back out, Loz groaned, "Great, they are going to torment us with the smells but they won't let us eat. I figured this was too good to be true."

Yazoo started to nod his agreement when the steel binding slid back into the cot. A soft chuckle came into the room, "Did you boys think I was that ruthless? I'm not sure if I should be proud or hurt." Loz looked around for the fire wolf when Yazoo pointed to the four upper corners of the room. Camera's were set into the corners, each with a small speaker attached. "Yes, I am well aware of what you two are capable of so I do hope you understand why we go to such lengths to make sure that nobody is harmed."

The smaller brother nodded, whoever had designed this set-up had done well. It seemed though, from the claw marks and melted patches, that they were not the first ones in this room and the fifteen-foot height led him to assume this room had not been designed with them in mind. He was able to jump fairly high and could run up walls but even he would be daunted to scale that height to the camera's. Perhaps he could coax some more information on these rooms from the fire wolf later. Yazoo turned his attention back to the tray of food, which Loz was already attacking voraciously. The younger brother sighed as he covered his face with one hand, "Did you even think to check if it was poisoned, dear brother?"

"Mmf grmb," Loz began to say something but paused momentarily to finish swallowing, "As I was trying to say, there are two reasons to doubt they would poison us. One, they would be hard pressed to find poison strong enough to really hurt us. Two, why would they go through all the trouble of healing us and keeping us just to kill us now?"

Yazoo raised an eyebrow in surprise, it wasn't often that Loz made an intelligent comment, though Yazoo knew he had quite a mind when he chose to use it. A enraged roar vibrated the walls again, two pairs of identical blue-green eyes turning toward the source. Yazoo finally chose to voice his concerns, "Maybe we will be used for training or food for THAT?"

"Now now, I would say that I am actually hurt by that question Yazoo." Nanaki's voice crackled over the speaker.

"Do you have to listen in on everything we talk about, mutt?" Loz growled out. Yazoo hid a smirk behind his hand. His older brother's glare fell short of menacing with the sticky maple syrup that gleamed on either side of his mouth. Fighting the urge to help his brother clean up, Yazoo picked up and took a bite out of one of the crisp waffles. He spoke softly, not even looking at the camera, "You know our names. Since you seem to be our warden at this moment, what should we call you?"

Nanaki smirked, the boy seemed to at least be relaxing to the situation. The larger one however...time would tell. "You can call me Nanaki. And as for your question Loz, I will leave you boys to talk in private. I will check back on the monitors every once in a while. When you are finished with the food, set the tray by the door." With that, Nanaki turned his attention from the monitor watching the Remnants to the screen focused on Chaos' room. The red wolf felt a little relief when he saw that the wings on Chaos' back were starting to re merge with the body. Nanaki knew by now that this meant Vincent would be back soon. He was glad that these changes only lasted a day or two now. When they had first started holding Vincent in the rooms, it had taken a week for the man to come back to himself.

'Perhaps he is finally gaining control.' Nanaki only hoped it was true. The quiet man had been one of his best friends since they had met three years back. Both understood the need for silence and felt a companionship in the dark nights. Golden eyes watched intensely as the twisted form of Chaos slowly reverted to the more familiar one that Nanaki knew. He waited several moments before turning on the speakers. "Vincent? Are you back now?"

The only sound he heard was ragged breathing before a hand raised, giving the camera a thumbs up. Nanaki punched a command into the computer and a single cot slid out from the wall, "You remember what needs to be done right?"

Vincent had gone through this several times with the fire wolf to make sure that every step was taken to prevent Chaos's escape. He slowly stood, taking careful steps toward the cot and gave a groan as he lay down. Nanaki pressed several more buttons and steel binding slid over the gunman's form. The fire wolf opened the door to the room after Vincent had been secured. He walked carefully to the bed, watching for any unusual reactions. Chaos had tricked him before into thinking that Vincent had returned but thankfully because of the system they had developed, the steel bindings had held while the fire wolf made his retreat.

"How are you feeling old friend?" Nanaki kept his voice casual, though his ears were perked forward intently. One thing Chaos seemed unable to do was disguise his voice.

"Like I've been in the Mako tanks again. How long was I out this time Nanaki?"

"About 34 hours according to the computers."

Vincent closed his eyes, part of him wishing he could just go back to the abandoned mansion and go back to sleep for the rest of eternity. He realized this wasn't possible though, turning his head to look into the golden eyes of his friend. Too many people would notice his disappearance and, against his wishes, drag him from the stasis coffin. The gunman sighed, it was a good thing to have friends he guessed. Now if only he could figure out why...

Nanaki cocked his head curiously as a strange look passed Vincent's face, "Does something trouble you?"

"Usually when I 'sleep' while Chaos is out, I am plagued with dreams of Lucrecia, Hojo, or the things that Chaos had done. This time though..." Scarlet eyes closed and he shook his head. "Never mind Nanaki. Let me get dressed, I want to see how our 'guests' are doing."

Loz tossed an apple high into the air, after Yazoo had turned and closed his eyes. The spike haired man sat quietly, holding even his breath. The red fruit made it's descent and just seconds before it hit the floor, the slender Remnant turned and caught it in one hand. Yazoo smirked and took a bite from the apple. At least his reflexes were still good with the scarred arm. He sat on the cot next to his brother and finished the fruit quickly, licking the juices from his fingers. Being mako-enhanced meant they didn't have to eat as often, but with the battle in Midgar and the materia burning away at their energy, he felt hungrier than he ever had in his life. Glancing out of the corner of his eye, he smirked inwardly.

Loz was practically attacking what was left on the tray, syrup was now dripping from his chin onto his chest. Yazoo gained a decided gleam in his eyes as he leaned towards his brother, "Brother?"

The larger man paused, turning to look when he felt a wetness on his cheek. "What the?! Yazoo!"

Yazoo licked his lips, "Delicious." He bent forward again, this time slowly removing the syrup from Loz's cheek with his tongue. "You know, its been a while since we took the time to play together."

Loz nodded, his eyes wide and beginning to glow with a lust that matched his brother's. When Mother had called, they had worked like machines on her plan, not allowing themselves to indulge in what few pleasures they had found in this life. He wrapped an arm around the slender waist, pulling Yazoo closer before planting a hard kiss on those soft lips. The taste of maple syrup was mixed with a flavor akin to apple cider. He felt the man practically melt into him as he ran his hand through the long and incredibly soft silver hair. Yazoo did not allow most to touch his hair, the shimmering strands a source of pride for the quiet marksman.

Yazoo moaned into Loz's mouth and made quick work with his hands. Several buckles were loosened and zippers pulled with the ease of practice as the two Remnants allowed the black leather to fall to the floor. Yazoo pushed forward, forcing Loz to lie back on the cot, the younger man straddling his leg. Tucking the long strands behind his ears, he moved slowly down the firm chest beneath him. He paused for a moment to lick and nip at the hardening nipples, biting hard enough to elict a gasp from the groaning man.

Moving lower, the warm tongue leaving wet circles in a torturous path down a firm, pale stomach. The encouraging grunts and moans brought a hidden smirk to the normally blank face. Loz gasped as the tongue lightly played with the head of his member, teasing him mercilessly, "Ya...Yazoo...please..."

Yazoo relinquished in his torture and took the weeping member in his mouth. He looked up as he bobbed his head, taking enjoyment in the expressions that crossed his brother's face. The display of delicious agony and want was enough to make him forget his own need for now. He increased the movement and suction as Loz attempted to press further into his warm mouth. "I'm...so close...nng...Yazoo!"

The younger man greedily swallowed the essence, milking every drop he could. Loz sighed in contentment, but soon began squirming as he became oversensitized to the warm tongue licking him. "Yazoo! S..stop!"

A rare chuckle answered him, "I had to make sure you were completely clean, brother."

Both men froze as a hiss announced the opening door and a loud click of a gun echoed in the quiet. "I see you two have kept yourselves amused."
