Irvine's Secret
chapter 4
Squall sat huddled on his bed, wrapped in blankets. He stared through the window wearily. He badly needed sleep. He couldn't bring himself to close his eyes for longer than two minutes. The moon shone through the window, bathing him in it's gently glow. He cried silently to the moon and the darkness. He hadn't a clue what Rinoa said to Irvine. He didn't know where Irvine was. Oh, what he'd do to be with him now. With his blanket wrapped tightly around him, he walked down the steps. The outside was a bit lighter now, lit by the stars that seemed to appear magically. He passed many small buildings and houses. He stepped onto the path with a sign that read 'Chocobo X-ing'. He entered through the opening in the fence and onto the cool wet grass he sat. He watched until the first rosy beams of the sun fell into the midnight blue sky. His eyes finally closed and he slept on the cold ground, his blanket beneath him.
"Where is he?" Laguna shouted worriedly as he burst into the hotel's breakfast room, searching about franticly.
"What?" Zell said through a stuffed mouth.
"Where's Squall? I can't find him!" he paced back and forth.
"You sure he's not in an alley somewhere?" she smiled, remembering her deed.
"oddly enough, I checked." he bit at his nails.
It was plain to see that Laguna loved his son. His only family and love. Any bad news of his son and he's be broken. He'd have nothing to live for. Laguna raked his unbound hair with fingers back from his forehead. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a whistle. Pressing it in between his lips, he blew and the whistle scream loudly.
"Red!" he shouted upwards.
Suddenly, a moomba emerged, running down the steps on it's paws. It stopped in front of Laguna and threw a paw up in respect.
"Red! I need you to help me find Squall." he looked at the now confused group. "She's got a nose better than any dog."
They went to Raine's room, in search of Squall's scent. Red found it quickly and rushed back out. She stopped at the ally, it had a strong scent of Squall, but seeing nothing she continued down the road. She crossed the bridge and stopped at the Chocobo crossing sign. She ran into the field and let out a mighty roar. Squall lie there surrounded by baby chocobo. Red chased them away and sat on Squall. She licked his face. If he was awake, he would have been pleased to know that Irvine was the first to the scene. Laguna and the others arrived soon after.
"He's feverish." Irvine held his hand on Squall's forehead.
"Ready a bed in the hotel." Laguna waved them away.
Irvine remained. " I want to help." he said softly and held Squall's head to his chest.
Laguna was a bit confused, but smiled. "Thank you."
Four hours had gone since Irvine carried Squall to his bed. He sat in a corner away from Laguna and Squall. Laguna was on the bed, sitting near his son's head. He stroked his burning face and kissed his forehead. The familiar warmth stirred him and Squall's eyes opened slowly.
"What happened?" he struggled to speak.
"We found you sleeping in a field." he pushed Squall's hair away from his eyes. "Irvine helped bring you in."
Irvine flinched at name. Still afraid of his possible loss.
"Irvine?" Squall turned his head in search. "Where is he? I want to tell him something."
"Oh, he's-" Laguna's voice was drowned out by the door slamming open and the party piling in.
"Get well soon, Squall!" Selphie thrust out a basket of petals and flowers in front of her.
Zell grabbed a handful of petals and tossed them into the air. "The best of wishes!"
"How can I make you comfortable?" Quistis pushed aside Laguna in a joking matter and fluffed his pillow.
Squall looked passed them and saw that Ellone, Kiros, Ward, Edea, and Cid were there as well. Edea spoke out, her voice just as smooth, monotone, and as beautiful as it always had been.
"We came as soon as we got word."
"How'd you get here so fast?" Squall looked surprised.
"Ragnarok!" Laguna sprung up from the floor, his finger in the air.
"But, that still doesn't make much sense."
"It is a new model of the Ragnarok." Edea's slow paced voice filled the room. "It is a much faster version."
"But.." Squall looked a his father and back to his friends.
"When the president's son's life is is danger, measures must be taken." Laguna nodded, thinking he made sense.
"Danger? You act like I'm on my death bed!" he tried to laugh but he hacked and coughed. The room quieted and his face went gaunt with terror. "Am I?"
"No, son, you're just terribly feverish." Laguna turned to the party. "Now go on. Git. He needs his sleep." he shooed them away.
"Get better or else." Rinoa tried her best to seem cute and threatening at the same time. Everyone began to move like a current out of the room.
"Bye." Irvine said softly as he headed for the door.
Squall's hand reached out, trying to grab him without moving. Laguna looked over his shoulder. " I think he wants you to stay."
"Come here."
He did so. Irvine came to his side. "Y-yes?"
"Where have you been?" Squall tried to look angry, but he was far too weak from his fever.
"I was...avoiding you. I thought that-"
"Enough." Squall waved his hand.
"Should I leave?" Laguna stood, pointing to the door.
"No. Stay. I want you to hear this."
Laguna sat back down.
"Dad?"
"Yes, sir?" he smiled.
"I don't Rinoa."
"But I thought..."
"I did. There was I time when I did. But I don't. I'm in love him. That's right, Irvine, you hear me? I love you. he looked at Irvine who was in a bit of shock. "Dad, I cheated on Rinoa for a long time with him. I even let her know. She was ok with it for a while. But recently she's tried blackmail. But I let you know, no amount of back mail will take me from Irvine. I know how how you are with relationships. I know you must be disappointed in me, but it's better to know now. I love Irvine, and that's not going to change."
Laguna sat there, taking in all that was said. He took a deep breath and loosened his muscles. "Well, I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, just surprised. I'd be upset with you if you were married to her when you did this. Though I am kind of upset that you cheated on her in the first place. But, I must say, If Irvine is what you want then so bet it. I still love you the same. You're my son, and that's another thing that won't change."
Squall smiled warmly. "Hey, Dad? Can you help me sit up?" his limbs felt like mush to him. "Thanks."
He told Irvine to come closer to him. He gave a little hint and leaned into him. Irvine gave him a loving kiss, not too worried about his fever. Laguna blushed, smiled, and headed for the door.
"I'll leave you two be."
"Oh. Dad?"
"Yes?"
"Don't mention this to the others. Irvine will tell them when he's ready."
"Deal." he waved and shut the door.
"I was afraid that Rinoa was going to-" his lips were met by Squall.
"I know all about it. No worries. Just shush."
"Are you really sure you love me?" Irvine asked.
"99.9 percent." he smirked.
"99.9 percent?"
"I'm just joking. It's 100 percent." he held Irvine's head and kissed him. "Now shut up and sleep with me."
"Well that was blunt." Irvine blinked.
"No, no! I mean actually SLEEP with me. I'm tired and I want something to cuddle!"
"Right-o!" Irvine hoped in the bed.
Laguna took his ear away from the door with a smile. He locked the door so no one would intrude on them, stuck the key in his pocket, and went down stairs.
"How goes it guys?" his smile full across his face.
"Will he be alright?" Ellone said over the crowd.
"He'll be fine. He just got a lil push to recover quicker."
"Is that so?" Rinoa pushed her way to the front.
Laguna almost frowned at her. "Yep."
"Where's Irvine." she eyed Laguna in a suspicious manner.
"Didn't ya see em? Thought he left with the rest of you." he head tilted with a smile.
"Laguna!" she stomped her foot.
"Now, now young lady. You will refer to be Mr. or President Lorie." his index finger stroked the other in a childish way as said, "Shame, shame."
Rinoa growled and stormed out.
"Well now young ones, us elders gotta talk. Off with ya. Kiros, Ward, you stay too."
The crowd in a mass, leaving Ellone standing. " You too, Ellone." he winked.
"Oh!" she ran out the door to catch up with everyone.
Laguna gestured for them to sit down at the table with him. He crossed his legs, leaning back in his chair. He looked rather smug.
"What is it, Laguna?" Edea said.
"It's a matter of my son."
"Is this about him getting the position of headmaster or not? Mr. President, I assure you-" Cid began.
"No. Well, it's sorta about that." he scratched the back of his head in thought.
"Cid, you should let him finish his statement before you jump to conclusions."
"Thanks, Edea. Well, it's about Squall, as you know. He um... he's done some things...well not BAD things...but um. Well actually they're bad in a sense. But, um...err...how do I say without saying it...um... I just don't want your decision on his title to be swayed by this...He.."
"We talk'n about the-" Cid began again.
"Please, Cid, you are speaking to the president. Speak to him more politely. He means to say, If you are speaking of the matter regarding Squall, Irvine, and Rinoa, we are quite aware." Edea waved her hand as if the matter were nothing at all.
"You know? How?" Laguna was baffled.
"Video camera!" Cid shouted. "There are always cameras in the headmaster's office. You can never be too careful. That's how we found out. We can tap into the security cameras from our little hide out. We saw everything. A bit shocking."
"Slightly arousing and curious." her voice was bashful but still monotone somehow.
"Yeah. Me and Edea had the best sex after seeing that."
Kiros and Ward cringed.
"Good LORD!" Laguna covered his face. "I didn't need that mental image." he massaged his temples.
"Yes, Cid, you shouldn't shared details about our sex life with the president."
"Edea! Mentioning your sex life is just as bad! I don't even want to know it exists! He's old!" he slammed his head on the table.
"Do you think Squall will be ok?" Quistis sat on a bench, her hands folded neatly in her lap. She looked up at the sky, as if the sky were to answer her question.
"If I know Squall, he'll be fine." Rinoa said, still half upset about Laguna. "That old bat Lorie will take care of him."
Selphie gasped like she heard something blasphemous. "He's only 40 something. He's NOT old! And he still looks good!"
"Ya know..." Zell looked thoughtful. "I just realized...Squall's real name is Squall LORIE. And he's the president's son...and we're his friends. ...That means we're friends with the president's son! We're practically famous!" he exclaimed.
"....We're friends WITH the president too. We're already somewhat famous. And you're an idiot." Quistis shook her head sadly.
Suddenly Laguna's voice came booming over everyone's. "I need a drink!" he came charging out of nowhere. Thundering foot steps came after him.
Kiros appeared, running a t full speed. "Laguna! Sir! You're the president! You have a reputation to uphold!"
"Sir nothin'! After hearing that disturbing THING I need one!" Laguna was walking now, a bit of haste in his step.
Kiros was almost caught up. "Agreed Sir, but only if it's just one!"
"Make'n it a big one then!"
Laguna opened the pub door and disappeared. He was soon followed by Kiros and Ward who waddled behind.
"That was interesting..." Rinoa said with her hands resting on her hips.
"Indeed. Cid had enough nerve to mention our sex life in front of him." Edea spoke from behind.
"Dear GOD!" they shouted.
"He's OLD!" Selphie added.
The morning's shining face stretched across the sky as Squall awoke. He was greeted by a simple 'Morn'n' from Irvine, who sat in a chair brushing his long wavy locks. He wore only long pajama pants and an open button up shirt. He came over to him smiling. Squall was so happy to see him smile again. He sat up, feeling much better and said hello. Irvine now sat behind him and brushed the tangled mass that was Squall's hair. The curtains to only one window were open, allowing the sun to lay it's hands upon them and lightly only the area around the bed. Squall leaned his head on Irvine's chest and sighed.
"You know...I missed you something terrible."
"I know. I missed ya too." he held Squall to his chest. "Feeling better?"
"Much better."
"Good."
Irvine kissed him on his forehead. Squall sat up and embraced him, trying to force him down, He hadn't fully recovered his strength. He was over powered by Irvine who now had him pined on the bed, He looked up at Irvine who was looking back into his eyes. His hair tickled Squall's face. He closed his eyes, feeling Irvine's embrace. Irvine unbuttoned Squall's shirt and nibbled at his neck. He'd get to have the fun this time. His fingers lightly caressed his body.
"Love me?" Irvine questioned playfully.
"Love you." Squall answered in the same manner.
Irvine opened and removed Squall's pants. He took hold of Squall's length and nibbled it oh so gently. He listened for Squall's moan before he kissed it. He played with Squall, watching him moan and stiffen further. Taking Squall into his mouth he pleasured him while using his hand to please himself as well.
"Aaaah."
Squall's cries were ecstasy to him. He wanted more of this divine music. He released Squall from his mouth and turned him over. He propped Squall on all fours. Squall let out a blissfully long and low moan as Irvine pushed slowly into him. Irvine held onto Squall by his waist and thrust teasingly into him slowly. Squall gripped the sheets, still in his animal like position. He began to thrust harder into him. Irvine heard him stifle a moan through his teeth.
"It's ok." Irvine continued to slam himself into him. "I won't hold back, so neither should you."
A loud cry of passion came from Squall, his grip began to loosen on the sheets.
"Mmmm." he gasped. "Aaaah...Ah!"
Irvine found his spot of pleasure and grinned. He held himself closer to his lustful partner and hammered it. Squall lost hold on the sheets and fell. Now at an angle with only his knees keeping him up, Irvine held tighter to his waist and bared down on him with great power against his bliss spot repeatably. Squall came, Irvine saw his body quaking, releasing itself.
Laguna dropped his plate with a blush. He had come up to drop off breakfast for the two. He heard their moans. He was a bit embarrassed about over hearing his son in the 'act'. He quickly picked up the mess he created the best he could and shouted 'sorry'. Knowing the crash must have disturbed them
Irvine removed himself from Squall. Gathering him into his arms he held him closely. He felt Squall's body still shaking from it's luxurious orgasm. Squall ran his fingers through his lover's hair, weak from his pleasure. They kissed each other, lingering in each other's arms.
"Still love me?" Irvine smiled, knowing the answer.
"Yeah." Squall said breathing heavy.
"Was that your dad earlier?"
"Think so."
"What to do now?"
"Well, we're going back to the Garden after breakfast."
"Have fun?" Irvine asked.
"I got to spend time with you didn't I?" Squall smiled.
"You corny little man."
"Yeah, I know." He kissed Irvine's cheek.
"Let's go home."
