Let it all out (get it all out) Rip it out, remove it.

So scared we're gonna lose it. And knowing all along that's exactly what we need.
And today I'll trust you with the confidence of a man who's never known defeat.
But tomorrow, upon hearing what I did I will stare at you in disbelief.
Inconsistent me, crying out for consistency.
And you said, "I know that this will hurt, but if I don't break your heart, then things will just get worse. If the burden seems too much to bear, remember, the end will justify the pain it took to get us there."
And I'll let it be known (the times I have shown) Signs of all my weakness,
But somewhere in me, there is strength.
And you promised me (that you believe) in time I will defeat this.

Chapter 4: Play Crack With the Sky
Seifer glanced up at Squall, a feral smirk playing against his lips. I didn't like it, at least not from this distance. I was sitting down next to a tree, making sure to stay out of the way as the two battled.
They stalked towards each other, gunblades poised for strikes. Before I could blink, silver met silver, making a sickening 'clink' sound. My heart began to gallop in my chest. Squall had no scar evident, but I bet the two engaged battle practice all the time.
"Remember Puberty Boy, this is the only action you'll ever get, so enjoy it!" Seifer growled, doing the infamous hand gesture to 'bring it'.
Not that.
I started to notice that Squall's fighting was at it's best with noise. That way, he had a rhythm. His moves were fast and smooth, living up to his expectations as a lion. He moves like the breeze, you can tell that he dances with it, and let's it's move him.
"Getting tired?" Seifer taunts, while parrying a few strikes, twirling a bit as he did so.
Squall swung his gunblade, trying to get pass the shielding arm, clanging against Hyperion. Squall was on him, one hit, two hit, and the third hit. The blond's eyes were intense, not becoming furious.
That's when I noticed it, the orange fire growing in Seifer's palm. Ignoring it, Squall's blade traveled at his side, ready to strike, trying to get to Seifer before the spell hit, but it was too late. I could hear the Star Wars theme going off in my head, ready to see Darth Vader come out of no where.
The magic shot through the air, knocking Squall back onto the rocky concrete. My hand went to the heavy necklace that lays upon my chest, hoping to get some hope from it, no luck. Squall's eyes shut and his teeth grit in pain. I need to help him.
At instinct, I get out the small potion from my bag. I know at the beginning of the game, Squall has nothing on him. Who knows if that's the case now. I threw it next to him and luckily he sees it. "You have to get up before he makes his last strike-"
My breath was cut off, feeling a strange warmth in my chest. I look down, watching the fiery substance work around my body. It went all around me, until I was consumed by it's heat. It didn't affect like I expected it to and Seifer notices this, as he grabs hold of my neck.
"L-let go of me," I choke, struggling to pry his hands off of me. My legs drag, trying to stable myself, as he walks closer to Squall, who's still on the ground with my potion in his hand. What is he doing, waiting for Quistis to go over the fucking tutorial?
Grey eyes widen with panic, too immobile to move. Shock was in those pretty eyes of his and there wasn't a damn thing to do when Seifer raised Hyperion. It was over. Squall didn't move, though, and surely he knew Seifer's intentions. The blade tears through alabaster skin and my heart stops, watching blood pour from between Squall's eyes.
Seifer pushes me to the ground. My eyes must look like saucers. I roll to my side, squeezing my eyes shut in fear. I listened as the steel scraped across concrete, breezing past my face, and arced up to meet the bridge of Seifer's nose.
'We're even, Leonhart!" Seifer's fingers go over his nose, staring at his hands, incredulously. "We're even...my fucking nose. Shit, we're even."
"Whatever..."
I laugh a bit, receiving two confused glances. I raise my hand up. "Don't mind me."
"Who are you?" Seifer was the first one to ask and it surprised me, because he just attacked me no less then three minutes ago.
"A Gift Teller. I'm here for Squall under the command of Cid."
"Really? I didn't know the all mighty Squall Leonhart would need protection," Seifer snickers, before walking out of the room.
The brunette's icy glare met mine, an unreadable emotion on his face. The kind of look that makes you sink and feel awkward about yourself. I look at the ground, finding the pebbles less threatening. "That's going to scar," I said. "No potion is going to cure it for some odd reason, don't ask me."
"You are a Gift Teller, you should know," he said, flatly. "So tell me."
"You really don't have to call me that. My name's Lisa," I laugh nervously. Oh, boy this is going real smooth. "I know it sounds simple, but I was originally from a different place where all names were common and simple."
This is Squall, he's not interested into hearing about people unless it's to tear their head off and use it for soccer. I'm no better then Quistis, good going, I chastised. I want to tell him everything, suddenly. I want to tell him that he's my hero and share a sickeningly sweet moment with him. I knew that it was impossible now.
He turns his back to me, wiping the sweat and blood off of his face.
"You shouldn't dab at it. Just hold it still..." I said, as I cautiously take a few steps towards him. I started to think of that Safari movie I watched in Ms.Shinson's class on the average lion. The lion broods in it's alone time, stalking about for it's prey. A small cub, antelope, or deer. Once caught by the lion's eye, the lion will pursue, and tackle.
"What the hell do you know?" Squall says, laughing bitterly with his sarcastic jab. "Oh, that's right. Everything. I don't need a Gift Teller."
"A Guardian Angel, then?" I asked with a sigh, knowing how completely hopeless this conversation was. I'm getting an attitude from the man I've looked up to for about five years. If I could tell him that maybe it would be a lot easier, but then I'd just confuse the hell out of him.
"Shiva."
And when you're not junctioned? The girl's a God.
"Listen, I know what's up ahead of you and trust me when I say that you need me!" Why do I even try? I mean, why should I even be going with him at all? He does wind up living and defeating Ultimecia. Winds up 'Happily Ever After' with chipper Rinoa! If he's trying to make me feel like extra weight, it's working.
"Really?" he glares. "And what is up ahead of me, exactly?"
I took a daring step closer, once again feeling uncomfortable, as he matches me up with his eyes. "Too much for you to handle. You're confused and I know that. You are alone and I know that. You don't want anyone else's burdens and I don't blame you. There's going to be a lot you're not going to like on the way, but I'll guide you."
"I don't need your dramatic bullshit."
I watch his retreating back and feel myself let go. I need to get out of the Training Center before I run into a T-Rexaur. My steps are slow, trying not to catch up with Squall. I bet he's going to be even more pissed off when he finds out that no matter what I'm going with him.
"Lisa!"
I turn around to see a girl coming towards me on roller blades. She would have bashed into me if I hadn't caught her by her shoulders. "Selph?"
Oh, Jesus. I'm retarded, she's never even met me. "Is it okay if I call you that?"
She nodded. "That's fine. Cid wants me to teach you how to draw some magic."
Magic? Wait, no! I don't even know how to and if I did, then that's going to scare the hell out of me.
"Wait, Selphie!" I groaned, feeling her tug at my arm, and pull me next to a Draw point for Cure.
"Now," she starts. "I want you to walk next to it and swipe your hand through it."
I looked at the blue sparks and then back at Selphie. The girl's face was reassuring and she urges me with her hand. "Come on, it's sparkly!"
I shrug, alright. My hand swipes through the pink and my body tingles with heat.
"What now?" I check out my hands, seeing if they were any different, but they aren't.
"Say Cure."
It sounded simple enough. "Cure."
Blue magic did a dance upon my body. I couldn't help, but laugh at the silly sensations going on inside of me. Maybe it was sadness and happiness all at once? I didn't care at the moment, feeling so refreshed. "That's wonderful."
Wait, that means that I can do magic. Sorry, Quistis, I'm a liar. The feel of the orb in my hand was so natural, like I was meant to do it. That, or I just don't want to use a weapon.
"See, it's not so bad!" she smiled, while grabbing my hand again. "You know, Cid also said that you need someone to show you around."
"But Squall-"
"Squall's taking his Exam at the Fire Cave."
"Yeah," I smirked. "That's right! He comes back with Ifrit."
"Tenjdgy gihls sahg hesgs dejsnt!" (Translation: Twenty Gil says he doesn't!)
"Zell!" gushed Selphie, as her smile widens at the Martial Artist. "You smell like hotdogs. Ew, gross."
I stick out my tongue, following in her dramatics. "Zell is a damn hotdog, what are you talking about?"
The blond pouted. "Great, I don't even know the girl and she's talking stuff about me."
"I'm sorry, it's just I know your reputation with hotdogs..." That sounded so wrong it even made me blush. "I'm Lisa by the way."
"Lisa. I'm Zell." I shake his hand, happy that there wasn't any mustard or ketchup on me when I pulled back. "I've never seen someone with your appearance. I didn't even think that color hair was possible."
I nodded, nervously. "I know. I'm very weird looking, aren't I?"
He shook his head. "No, not weird. Special."
Selphie skated at my side, placing her hand on my shoulder. "Exactly. Just promise me that you'll show me how to put that stuff on my face, too."
I laughed, "Make-up?"
"Make-up! yes."
"You need it," Zell murmured, playfully. "Anyways, back to that bet."
"ZELL!"
"Deal."
"LISA!"
"Sorry." Both Zell and I apologized in unison.
"That was nice," he complimented. "So, whatcha doing here, Lisa?"
"Ice Princess's angel and by Giddy Aunt, he needs one!" Seifer chimed. He looked at me something fierce, and then casually walked away.
"Right..." I trailed off, trying to shake off the sudden awkwardness.
"Well, I think it's neat!" Selphie yells at Seifer's back. "Seifer's just being a mean...a-a mean...meanie head!"
I rolled my eyes. "Just say it Selph. You're being a dick head, Almasy!"
He stops at this to turn around, regarding me with his eyes. "Tell me Gift Teller, what do you see of me?"
"You get everything you've ever 'dreamed' of. The one thing that you've ever wanted to do, then later realize that your star was wasted. You were a sad-"
He took a few strides forward at the flow of the insults that poured from my mouth.
"...Pathetic..."
Seifer's hands clenched into a fist, giving me a silent warning to stop. I couldn't, though. I was amused at the thought of him actually having emotions. In a sense, I wanted him to sweat for the next few days.
"...little boy. It's all she'd ever call you."
"She?" green eyes narrow with curiosity.
I leaned into him and stood up on my tippy-toes closer to his ear. "Your Sorceress..."
My arms felt like they were being ripped off. Seifer's nails dug into my shoulders, shaking me, roughly. "You lie!"
"Yeah?" I asked. "Wanna bet on that?"
A girl ran past us, grabbing her friend's attention with her frantic hand motions. "...he beat the mighty Ifrit...first exam...that tight leather...he looks so fine..."
"Alright, skipping that bullshit," Seifer smirked. If it was even possible, he squeezed me tighter. It was probably pent up jealousy and I couldn't blame him. "Where were we?"
"Shit, I owe you Twenty Gil!" Zell frowned. "That's all I have, too."
"It's okay, really. Can you help?" I gasped, feeling my arms start to numb, and no longer feeling pain anymore.
"Stay out of this Chicken-Wuss. Red here, is coming with me."
I once again rolled my eyes at how cliche he said that, except he's the villain. It really didn't make sense coming from his mouth. Strong fingers were placed at my waist, pinning my hands at my side.
"Seifer, what are you doing?" It was Quistis's voice and for the first time I can actually say that I'm thankful she's here. "Put her down and come with me. Dollet time."
I met the floor for the second time today, growling at the dull pain in my arms. What a bastard. Zell and Selphie help me up, muttering a few 'retard' and 'stupid face' as Seifer left.
"That's us..." Selphie shrugs. "I guess we better go...are we ready for this?"
"Yeah, BABY! Let me at 'em!" Zell's wild side has come out to play. He does a few uppercuts, giving a few swift punches towards me. "I'm ready!"
I scratch my head, trying to cover my face with my hair. "Uhm, yeah."

"Yeah, BABY! Let me at 'em!" Zell's wild side has come out to play. He does a few uppercuts, giving a few swift punches towards me. "I'm ready!"
I scratch my head, trying to cover my face with my hair. "Uhm, yeah."
