The Boy Who Found The Dark One.

What if Tidus came across Anima, after he arrives in Spira, receives her aeon, and thus becomes a summoner. SPOILERS. This is just a thing for all of you that wondered ‘what if so and so happened. AU.

Normal POV

They entered the temple in silence, following the priest as he ascended the steps to the cloister of trials, and stopped at the top and turned to face the group, and after what seemed like hours they arrived at the chamber of the fayth, and Yuna climbed the steps, and the giant stone door slab rose up, allowing her entry, and after she had disappeared from sight, Lulu turned to Tidus.

“You should go. Since you too are a summoner you are permitted.” Tidus looked at her funny then took a step back.

“No thank you…I am fine with just Anima.” Lulu looked at him with surprise.

“So that is what your aeon is called…I have never heard of it before.” Wakka walked up to Tidus, and stopped in front of him.

“So how did you know its name then?” His eyes narrowed.

“She spoke to me.” At this Lulu Kimahri and Wake’s eyes widened.

“It…spoke to you?” Kimahri just spoke what he needed to say as usual.

“Same thing as Ronso and Gagazet?” Tidus nodded, then the sound of the door opened and Yuna emerged, falling down the steps as she exited the chamber. Kimahri immediately ran up to her and caught her as she fell. She caught her breath and looked at Tidus, and her guardians.

“I’ve done it. I’ve become a summoner.” Then she straightened up, and looked at everyone with a worried look.

“What is it Yuna?” Lulu said worryingly.

“The Fayth said something…soon the holy one will raise, and bathe the world in eternal light, he once hidden from mortal eyes, shall fill and open all with joy… that’s all.” Lulu stepped forwards, crossing her arms over her chest.

“What does it mean I wonder? Puzzling.” Wakka rubbed the stubble under his chin then.

“Perhaps another aeon, perhaps…like Anima?” Yuna looked puzzled at this, tilting her head.

“Anima?” Kimahri spoke up yet again which was rare for him.

“Yes name of Tidus, aeon…it told him.” Then they made there way back to the entrance of the trails, telling the priest there what had happened, at this the priest rubbed his chin.

“Well legend speak of light, before the emergence of Sin, well that is all there is about what you speak of…but rarely the fayth speak, openly about such matters…anyway…continue with your journey summoners, and guardians. A boat leaves shortly for Kilika, go take it, and be one step more towards, the defeat of Sin.” He preformed the pray, as did everyone else including Tidus.

They all left the village, heading up the slope, stopping by the statue at the top, Lulu turned to Yuna.

“Go on, take your time. We will pray, after you finish.” Yuna nodded looking over the village she had called home for over ten years, then after a few minutes she turned to them, and bowed.

“I’m ready.” Lulu smiled.

“That’s ok.” Then both turned to the others and they turned to the statue, bowing to the statue, and at this, but Wakka just laughed, and slapped him on the back.

“Just use the prayer, you used for the priest, ya.” Tidus stared for a second then preformed it, bowing wt is eyes closed, and with the sound of steps being heard walking away, Tidus realised he was being left behind, and scrambling to his feet he went off after the group.

They arrived at the boat about half an hour later, from praying to the statue at the top of the hill. They all boarded, Tidus going down below, for a while encountering Luzu and Gatta.

“Hi.” They turned, doing the prayer.

“So, it’s you, the summoner from the sea…your aeon was impressive…you are going alongside Yuna?” He nodded.

“Your aeon as…so big.” Gatta said with suppressed amazement. Tidus just rubbed the back of his head, laughing.

“Well…” His sentence was cut short when Lulu arrived, and spoke up.

“Tidus, is it? We would like to speak to you, on deck…Luzu…Gatta, good to see you again.” She turned and left, with Tidus in toe.

“See you later, next time you guys.” All the reply was silence, and up on deck he saw all of them waiting, Yuna stepped up to him.

“We would like to ask you…where you received your aeon. You seem to have no guardians, so who gave it to you?” Tidus, but before he could speak someone screamed.

“SIN!” Everyone turned in the direction of the voice, and then he sea erupted, Lulu looked at several people arming the cannons.

“What are you doing you fool! You won’t hurt it!”

“We have to try, its heading to Kilika.” Yuna looked towards Sin raising her staff summoning Valfor, it coming down, landing besides Yuna, and looked over at Tidus.

“Summon Anima, summoner Tidus!” Both Yuna and Tidus looked up at Valfor, and so he did, raising his right palm up, the massive chain slamming down to the deck, sinking into darkness, then dragging Anima up, it letting out its cry. Now sin had to contend with both Valfor and Anima. Both Tidus and Yuna said something the exact same time.

“Energy-Blast!”

“Oblivion!” Suddenly the boat disappeared as Anima drew Sin and all the people into its own dimension. Lulu looked shocked, for they all saw the full size of sin.

“Where are we?” Tidus looked at her and spoke calmly.

“Anima says this is where her overdrive takes place, where’re save don’t worry.” Everyone looked on as the anima underneath, broke free of its restraints, and blasted sin over an over, finally erupting and returning to their own plain of reality, then Valfor, spun and fired its energy blast at sin.

“What a powerful aeon.”

Someone said looked up at Anima, and whispers started, but then Sin sent shockwave of energy towards them, and both aeons dissolved into pyerflies, both Yuna and Tidus clutched there heads, as pain shot through them.

Suddenly a gust of extra energy threw Tidus overboard.


“Tidus!” As Tidus was thrown overboard, all of them rushing to where he was last sighted. As Tidus fell he heard a voice inside his head not Anima’s but his own.

“ Awaken!” The light enveloped his falling body as he hit the water. Mean while all the others where fighting off the Sin scales, and did not notice what was happening, while Wakka prepared to dive in, but stopped when a sin scale blocked his path.

“Get out my way… “He hit the thing and it dissolved into pyerflies on contact. Suddenly at the right side of the boat a white energy wave flashed past the group along with a wind destroying all the sin scales on deck.

“What was that?” Lulu said looking at the source. Wakka looked at the side worried about Tidus, and made another attempt, but Yuna shouted.

“Everyone Sin’s going to attack US!” All turned wide eyed. Kimahri running in front of Yuna and the others, and as Sin fired a Gravijra, two splendid white angel wings wrapped round the boat, emitting the same light that they saw earlier. Everyone staring in awe and shock. Yuna and her guardians also looked around.

“What’s going on?”

“Mommy!” A little girl whimpered, as a women cradled.

“First sin…and now this…someone kill this fiend.” Then Luzu and Gatta appeared on deck and at the sight of the wings there mouths fell open.

“What are you standing there for…attack!” One of the frightened passengers said to them, but they just froze there, Yuna running up to them.

“Don’t. It seems like they or it is protecting us.” The boat still moving towards Kilika. Suddenly the wings parted, everyone looked up, just as they unfolded and spead off towards sin, a snapping sound met there ears.

“It’s cut the rope!” One of the people near the ropes said, as Yuna and her company ran to the front of the boat, to see the owner of the pair of white wings head towards sin, the sea parting either side of it as is spead closer to it, a gold/white light radiating off it.

“Kimahri never seen anything like this…” Yuna puzzled, at this.

“You think it’s an aeon?” Lulu looked on knowing that neither she nor her friends could help.

“If it is an aeon, who is its summoner, you are the only summoner on board Yuna.” Wakka leapt over the side as that moment Kimahri running after him.

At that moment the light turned from sin shooting underwater towards where Wakka had splashed, well Wakka was shocked and threw his blitzball at it but it rebounded off it, and he shut his eyes as a arm grabbed hold of his waist and dragged him up, and Wakka opened his eyes it see himself high above the ocean.

“What the fuck!” Then he heard a chuckle and looked up to a now white-haired Tidus.

“Tidus!” He just got a smile then his stomach lurched.

“Hold on Wakka.” everyone looked on as the ‘light’ spun 360 degrees in the air doing a back flip so that it was approaching the boat, it’s wings folding to build up speed, and as it was about to hit, it unfolded it’s wings dropped Wakka on the deck and with a flap spun to right and again headed towards sin.

After a few seconds Wakka got up ran towards the front.

“Tidus!” Everyone stared at him for a second there; Lulu looked at him in shock then.

“You said Tidus. Is that Tidus?” Lulu said then looked up to see Tidus skim the edge of the water, as he spun dodged and weaved around Sin, avoid its attacks.

“Why hasn’t he attacked yet?” Yuna said, Kimahri walked up arms folded.

“Worried about our safety. That all, besides we nearing Kilika.” Yuna’s eyes grew wide then and then a sin scale popped out unnoticed, but Tidus was on it in a second, with a shriek of light, he pierced it making it dissolve.

“Wow!” Tidus stood before them, his upper body bare wile he still wore his leggings, his white wings folded at the back of him. His hair all white and standing up, now all of his eyes where bright blue. He emitted a pale glow.

“Stand back…” He approached the front of the boat everyone parting for him, spreading his wings holding out his hands towards sin energy building.

“Holy Shot!” Then a single bean of blue energy shot towards sin, water parting, everyone shielding their faces there clothing flapping in the wind and spray. There was a mighty roar of pain from Sin as the energy ripped straight thought its fin.

“Such power!” Lulu said, and opened her eyes to see Tidus being blown back and into the side of the boat with an energy blast from sin, and reverted back to his ordinary self. Yuna and the others ran to him.

“He had power to injury sin! What power.” Then Yuna looked towards sin, knowing they could no stop it now.

“Kilika will be gone.” Kimahri said in his stotic tone, Lulu looked at him with a worried look on her face, and so they watched as Kilika was levelled by the force known as sin.

Tidus was still slumped unconcious in Yuna’s arms, and she looked down at him.

“Who are you…are you an aeon…or something else. Yet you are a summoner, with that aeon of yours.” So they quietly slipped past the wreckage of houses, and into port.


Well that’s the fourth chapter for you people.
Sorry its been so long, with GCSE work and all.
I thought I would put Alexander in since he doesn’t appear in FFX.
Are the chapters’ to short for your liking?
Expect long periods between updates, sorry can’t be helped.
