Will Love Last?
Sunlight spread into the room, signaling that the morning had come. A single sunbeam stroked Vincent’s cheek, warm and gentle it was, like a mother touching her child. Vincent slowly awoke, turned and saw Reno sleeping next to him with a sl smi smile on his face he thought rather absently to himself, ‘he truly is beautiful. It is a shame that we can not become partners. We are just on two different sides.’ Vincent sighed gently, and muttered to himself, “Enemies can never be lovers.” Vincent looked at his mechanical arm, “Maybe, if I were still a Turk, and Hojo didn’t………but, that would mean that I would not have a son. I do not regret that. I love and appreciate every moment that I was able to have with my son……..My only regret is that I couldn’t save him when he needed me…” Vincent slowly began to cry.
Reno stirand and opened his eyes. He saw Vincent and sat up. “What’s wrong Vin? You regrettin’ what we did last night?”
Vincent quickly wiped away his tears and looked away, “no, of course not.”
“You ok?”
“I am fine Reno. I am……just remembering my past.”
Reno shrugged, “We all have fucked up pasts, ya just need ta get over it like the rest of us.”
Vincent was silent. He got up and walked out the room with Reno following after him.
“Where ya goin’ Vin?”
Vincent turned around and gave Reno a long and passionate kiss. “I wish we could stay this way forever. But our sides are to different. It would not work out, enemies could never be lovers. But, please know that I will always love you Reno.” He turned and Reno was alone.
A single tear rolled down Reno’s cheek. “Vincent, I love you too.” Then, more tears followed suit after the first. Reno couldn’t stop his tears from flowing so he went to his bedroom, crawled up into a ball and cried himself to sleep.
Vincent was in his room. He was cold and alone, he couldn’t help but cry. He had finally found happiness, but he could not keep it. This just proved further that he did not deserve it. He did not deserve to be happy; he did not deserve to be loved. Vincent locked himself in his coffin and went to sleep, to dream of a time when he was happy. He would always have Reno for that. When He needed strength, he would think of Reno, and the happiness that he brought with him.

Now wasn't that a wonderful tale? Just another thing that squaresoft cut out of the game. I guess the option of playing as Vincent and going out with Reno didn't sell that well. *shrugs* oh well. If ya all wanna review, then go for it, if not, then get outta here. Go on! Shoo! I know who you are! Yes you! The one in the red shirt! I know you weren’t gonna review so shoo!! *smiles* To the rest of you, thanks for stickin with me and reviewing the crap I write.
