Chapter 6

Seifer and Cloud were still in the car and close to their destination. Cloud was impatient on getting there. He scratched the skin around the arm band he wore. On the arm band is a black jewel. He didn’t like the fact it won’t come off. Plus, Cloud was having trouble remembering why he was with Seifer. They got into a fight earlier and this arm band boosted his abilities by leaps. It just felt so weird. He also felt dizzy at times.

Cloud, “Where are we going?”

Seifer, “I told you, to meet my friends. They want to get to know you.”

Cloud grunts, “Whatever. . . “

Cloud really didn’t like Seifer that well. For the whole trip he wanted to stick his sword up Seifer’s ass, with the blade first, and twist till the blood poured out. These feelings surprised him at first. Just looking at the man smirk got on his nerves. The more his arm itched, the more he wanted to smack something. Eventually, they reached a boat.

Seifer, “Across the water way is the place.”

Cloud, “Good, I hate waiting.”

Seifer smirked as he got his car on the barge. Cloud thought about how he would love to cut that face off.

They were ready to leave for Centra Ruins. They decided to take Ragnarok. They had to travel to Esthar Air station to get it. Cid wanted to fly it, so they showed him how. At first it has hard on their nerves. Cid, on the other hand, had a blast. He loved this better than Highwind and he really loved Highwind. They also had to give Cid directions. After a bit, they finally reach the ruins. They got off and walked over to the ruins. Yuffie stayed on the ship for now. Squall remembered finding one of his guardian forces here. Next to the building was a car. Squall figured Seifer was nearby by the way it was parked. That meant that Cloud might also be nearby. The group went into the ruins. Some Tonberries attacked them on the way up the stairs. They all fought these things before.

Cid, “This is some weird tower. . . I can feel a hum in the metal.“

Squall, “A hum?”

Cid, “Yeah. Some sort of machine is active. You need to be aware of your engine when you’re flying a piece of ShinRa sh*t. Now, shhh. . . I think there is someone up there.”

They hear some voices on the next level. They creep up and look at the people there. They can see Seifer right off. Cloud is nearby. Seifer’s pal Fujin was standing next to two unknowns. Seifer had a smirk on his face and Cloud looked very bored.

Cloud. “Okay, I get the idea. I might work with you, but I want free reign of my actions. I will not be under his orders.” Cloud jerks his thumb at Seifer.

One man, “No problem.”

Cloud, “By the way, we have guests.”

Seifer now notices this too.

Cloud sneers, “I knew they were there the moment they came.”

Seifer scowls at that remark. The group walks into sight since hiding was now pointless. Cid didn’t like that sneer, it looked so wrong on his friend’s face.

Seifer, “We should deal with these trespassers.”

Cloud, “Oh, you mean all of us help you fight them?” Mutters, “What a great use for my skills. . . “ In regular voice, “ Fine, no problem. . .”

Zell, “What? Isn’t he your friend?”

Cid whispers to Zell, “Shut the fuck up, this is not the time.”

Cid steps forward with a forced smile, “Hey, pal. . . You wouldn’t hurt some old friends?”

Cloud looks at them odd, “Friends?”

Seifer, “We are your only friends, Cloud.”

Cloud, “Bull You’re no friend of mine, Seifer.”

Squall, “What are you doing?”

Cloud yawns, “Going after world conquest.”

The Seifer, Fujin, and the two men just stare at Cloud.

Cloud smiles, “You can't expect me to lie to my friends now can you?”

Seifer gives him a glare.

Cloud smirks, “You said I can do whatever I wanted.”

Seifer pulls out his gunblade. Fujin brings out her pinwheel.

Cloud, “Go ahead and start the fight without m

Seifer and Fujin begin to battle Squall, Cid, Vincent, and Zell. They don’t do so well during the fight. Cloud stood in the back, concentrating. The black jewel on his arm band had a glow to it. The only thing that kept them from running Seifer over, was his meteor spells. Squall then realized what Cloud was doing. Cloud was about to summon a guardian. He got past the two and tried to attack Cloud. Cloud barely parried, but he did block most of the attack. Then Raijppeappears with his staff ready. He forces Squall to back off from Cloud. Cloud’s guardian force came barreling down. A huge black unicorn with a silver horn. Flames came from it’s silver hooves as it tramples over the his enemies. He followed the attack with a double Flare spell. This took Cid and Vincent out of the fight. Cloud then attacks with his sword. Squall casts his Ultima. This brings Seifer and Fujin to their knees. Cloud is hurt, but still standing. He smiles and uses one of his materia, Knights of the Round. This brings knocks Squall and Zell out. Seifer stands back up.

Seifer, “We can finish them off.”

Cloud, “Shut up. I beat them so I decide their fate. I say leave them here. If the monsters don’t kill them, they may die of exposure. If not, they deserve to live.”

He walks over to Cid and looks closer, “Hey, I kinda remember this guy. . . “

Seifer gets a bit tense. He didn’t need Cloud remembering who his friends really were.

Cloud, “Yeah, I say we take him with us.”

Seifer, “What do you have planned?”

Cloud, “You have grunts. I need something more than grunts, I need a second in command.”

Cloud gently picks up Cid, “You have another bracelet ready?”

Seifer, annoyed, “I have arm bands. . . not bracelets. “
