Disclaimer: I do NOT own ANY Final Fantasy VIII characters, though I wished.
Rated: R/for now
!WARNINGS! A classic Mary-Sue fic! If you don't like girls mysteriously finding their way in the world of Final Fantasy VIII then, I suggest you leave as quickly as possible.
YOU: I usually don't post if I don't get Feed Back. It just proves that this fiction wasn't worthy enough to be put on here. So, if you like it, be sure to post a review, even if it is to tell me to UPDATE. I like being pushed.
Summary: Seventeen year old Lisa Cardaci, spends her birthday in Japan to meet with Executive Producer, Hironobu Sakaguchi. What does that have to do with her winding up outside of Balamb a week before all conflicts?
Kishana: Thank you for that picture. You're absolutely RIGHT, that seriously does look like him. Thank you, girl. You've been reviewing me since the first chapter. That's amazing of you. You push me to write.
PineappleGirl: (I never want to get rid of you) Thank you for reviewing, you're awesome and also review every chapter. I really appreciate your support and your reviews. Thanks for following me to the sixth chapter!
Burning_Desire: This isn't my first story, but it is my first Final Fantasy VIII story, ever. I've been writing for a long time, but nothing like this. It's actually a huge turn for me. Thank you so much reviewing and I hope to hear from you soon
You don't remember me, but I remember you.
I lie awake and try so hard not to think of you.
But who can decide what they dream? And dream I do.
I believe in you.
I'll give up everything just to find you
Chapter Six: Point One-Rinoa
...Beautiful as usual with bruises on his ego...
Running, where are you? Through my head and through my legs, you're running. I know you're not far, you're so very close to me. Is it my heart that I've kept you so delicately close to? I know you're here, but someones in the way. Always. The path that leads me towards you, whoever...
Speak to me, I'm helpless. Speak to me so I can remember your voice.
A gray sky above, giving me the impression that everything that was ever living is dead. Is it a punishment that I let you get lost? I know deep down inside that I'd never let you leave my side. I know for a fact that I would place my body before your own. Do I harbor these feelings or push them away? I know that I've never felt this before. This fulfilling sensation of...?
Everywhere is cement, very orange, and it's all dried up. No sign of refreshing water, damp grass, or a welcoming face. I stopped running. The sky was becoming a dark blue. You're there waiting for me, aren't you? That's what we promised each other, wasn't it? that smile on your face, I can feel it lift my worries, and abolish all doubt I once had.
A thought that makes me want to run again. Not tired, never stopping, or falling. Let me find you, I'm not a person who wishes, but you make me believe. There's hope in your eyes and there's happiness in your features. Please, don't let her be lost. I will find you, my search is relentless. For you, I wish.
A stop in time and long seconds pass...and finally, there you are...
"Are you okay?" I looked at Squall, noticing how flushed and pale he looks. It scares me to be honest, the way he's panting, and sweating.
"I'm fine," he breathed. "We meet with the Forest Owls soon, so get ready."
I rubbed at my arm, not liking the look in his eyes. It was almost like he's scared and the thing with Squall is that he's never scared. He's not allowed to be scared, he's always the upfront man. The guy who deals with it, because he's fearless.
Once on the train, I sat down on the not so comfortable seats. Then, continued to look over at him to see if he's okay. Everything seems to be alright now, but still, he's good at pretending every thing's okay.
"Whatcha staring at?" I ask him, as I join him over by the window. "A scenery of the world passing beneath your feet? sad display of loner..."
"A world that's too slow and feels like it doesn't pass at all," he says, lightly. "I don't want you to tell me what happens in my life. It'll make the time that much longer."
"Is that what you dreamed about?" I pressed him. "The future? Is that what you're scared of? Squall-"
"Scared?" he retorts, throwing me an intense glare, gray eyes a blaze. As fast as those breath-taking eyes were on me, they were gone to it's previous spot out the window. "Now, I told you not to tell me the future. I suggest that you live up to it."
"I understand."
God knows what he's thinking right now. That whole, 'no one' understands me thing. I know him better then he knows himself. My insides wanted me to scream that he's fake and that he's part of a game. The other part of me wants to just erase all of this and go back to never knowing him.
Storms are meant for rain, floods, destruction, thunder, lightening, and starts of Tornado's and Hurricanes. Squall is like the storm, first, calmly collective. A bit alarming, but his words are the fusion. They hit hard as hell and rock your heart into pieces.
I walked behind Zell, making sure that someone at least happy would be next to me. I kind of liked him, he's a really great person. Hyper and says 'baby' every chance he gets. I need to ask him about his hair later, no matter how many times he tells me that it's natural, I know it's rubber glue.
Selphie smiled at me and waved her hand, wildly in front of my face. Maybe not that happy and I'm not blind.
"I'm Watts, sir," saluted the bright looking man. I raised an eyebrow at him, watching him gulp, nervously. "I mean ma'am."
I smiled, appreciatively. "Pleased to meet you. My name is Lisa."
"A-anything for a SeeD, ma'am," he stutters, trying not to stare at my clothes for too long. Adorable.
Just like the wind blowing out the fire for any chances of comfort or survival, Squall comes in. "She's not a SeeD, she's a witch of the future."
Why doesn't he just add in a nice little, 'she'll never be one of us' jab to go with that heart whelming comment. I shook my head a bit. "Before you guys say it, I'll go get Rinoa."
"I haven't properly introduce myself yet-"
I turned around, looking at Zone, who was rubbing his stomach. "Listen, Zone. I'll be back in a few minutes, you can introduce us then, okay?"
The man's jaw slacked and my princess scowls at me. I winked at the furious commander. "Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't suppose to do that was I? Bring them to the Strategy Room and show Squall the letter from Cid, he has a hard time believing things sometimes. And Zone? do something about that stomach for Hyne's sake!"
I went up the stairs, escaping before a Gunblade permanently impales itself up my-
I wouldn't be surprised if Rinoa was purposely waiting for Squall like this. Nice job, Hironobu. The way Rinoa is sprawled out on the bed, clutching onto her heart like she's dreaming of Sean Connery on a white horse.
Better get this out now while she's sleeping. I sit down on the bed, being careful not to wake her.
"You know," I started. "As soon as you get out there he's going to know that you're going to be around him for a long time. Trust me, you are. Hell, you might even make sap music come out of nowhere like in every cut scene you two have. It's what girls like you do. If you didn't figure it out yet, I'm talking heroins."
The girl sighs, contently, and rolls to her side. "See? even that was perfect. I bet I look like an Imp while I'm sleeping, stupid monkey devils. That's besides the point, the point is that I don't need you to rub this in my face when this all happens. About having him to yourself and you being ten times cooler than I am, because I already know that jazz."
Rinoa stretches out, letting a groan escape her full lips, while a long leg hangs of the edge of the bed, adjusting herself so her toned arm could slide underneath the pillow. That infamous raven streaked hair, sleeked in her face, giving her this glow.
I laughed as drool watered the silk by her mouth Maybe this would be a moment to get Squall? I teased with the idea for a moment, before remembering why I came in here. "It's nice that we had this talk girl to girl."
I reached an arm out to shake her, but stopped, suddenly with apprehension. "He's going to love you, you know? after all of this meet and greet shit."
"Mm...He-hello?" she yawns, before, abruptly sitting up in her bed. Dark brown eyes look me over, on full alert. "Are you one of the SeeD's?"
"I'm not a SeeD, but I am here for the mission," I said, evenly, trying not to let my emotions tear me to shreds. "C'mon, let's get this Kidnapping thing over with."
"How did you-"
"Gift Teller..."
Rinoa looks down at her hands, then around the room, and gives me a look that tells me that she's everything, but comfortable. "I, uhm, what's your name?"
"It's Lisa. Don't worry, you don't need to fear me." Unless you leave Squall on the dance floor like that again or if you get him into some crazy shit like 'you have to save the world, thousand pounds of guilt if you don't'. Oh, and also if you wind up being his baby's momma, then shit will hit the fan.
"What differs you from a Sorceress?" she asks, while taking the time to wipe the drool off of her lips.
"Strong magics, the title, evil do-ings, and that insane Madonna make-over. I lack all."
"Oh," she nods, slightly. "I guess so, but how come you look like you have a Ma-d-onna make-over."
I put my hand up. "If you are to ever talk to me again, you better take that back."
