LESSON

The nurses were frantically running into the room. Tseng stood stiffly as they rushed the crash cart into the room where the President of the nearly destroyed Shin-Ra lay.

He had thought that Rufus had been getting better. He still had injuries from the attack that Diamond Weapon had wrought on him. His hip was improving even though he couldn't walk yet. The burns that had marred his legs and feet were not as painful to him as they had been in the past. He had even announced that he had been seeing better out of his left eye and that it wasn't watering as much.

Seeing the medical staff rush in with the crash cart told him that Rufus was not as well as they thought he was.

Tseng touched the wound that he had in his chest. Had he had been there when Diamond Weapon attacked instead of nursing his own injuries, he would not have allowed him to get hurt.

If he had been there, Rufus wouldn't have been hurt and injured and lying in the hospital bed. If only he had not failed to do his job as a guardian to the boy. It was his primary job he wouldn't be dying in the room.

The alarms shut off and the nurses started to come out of the room. The crash cart was rolled out and Tseng noticed that none of the tabs were broken on the trays. One of the nurses was shaking her head and the other two were giggling.

"Is he all right?" he asked as they walked by.

"Yeah. He's perfectly fine," A nurse answered. "You can go see him if you want to."

Tseng frowned and walked into the hospital room. He looked over at Rufus who was looking quite red-faced as he was lying in the white hospital sheets.

"Sir?" he asked. He actually had more colour than he had since the incident. Rufus looked quite healthy.

"What happened?" He asked as he approached the bed. He looked around and saw that Reno wasn't around. Rufus wasn't supposed to be left alone and it was supposed to be Reno's job to take care of him.

"Nothing," Rufus said and his voice sounded a little breathless. His hand was shaking against the bed sheets.

He narrowed his eyes. "Where's Reno?"

"He went to get coffee," Rufus said as he fiddled with the sheet.

"What happened?" Tseng asked again. "What caused the nurses to run in here as if you were dying?"

Rufus ran his teeth over his lip and fiddled with the sheets some more. "The machines just went crazy is all."

Tseng narrowed his eyes at Rufus. "What could have caused them to be erratic?"

Rufus gave a small mutter and his cheeks flared brilliant red. Tseng didn't hear what he said but the tissue and lotion that he was trying to hide underneath the blanket told him enough.

Tseng controlled his breathing. "I am glad that you are well enough for such activities, sir, but couldn't you have waiting until at least you were not hooked up to all the equipment before pleasuring yourself?" Tseng said trying to keep his voice still.

Rufus opened his mouth as though he was trying to defend himself, but Tseng raised his hand to halt his words.

"I will go see where Reno is with your coffee and I will hope that you will refrain from such activities until at least you are not hooked up to the hospital monitoring equipment," Tseng said as he turned on his heel and left the room before Rufus could say another word.

Tseng was amazed that he made it to the elevators before he started to laugh.

"A lesson I learned in the hospital...when you masturbate while attached to a heart monitor, it scares the nurses a lot" Full Inspirational text.

This one was very popular in my poll, but you all thought it was going to be Reno or Zack… I picked Rufus.
