Warped Perspective
Part 2
“To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,

Chapter 1
It has been one month since they last seen Cloud. During the month, more was learned about in incident in Nibelheim. The whole town was butchered. All died except for one child, who was hidden. She saw some of the massacre. One of the attackers was about to kill the child, when a strange man came in rescued her. He looked child over and placed her in a secure hiding place. Told her to be quiet and not to move. The rescuer had the same description as Cloud. Eventually the attackers left. The search crew sent by an anonymous call (the heroes) found the child. Several of the attackers were found dead.
The news also confirmed the suspicion on the rivalry between Cloud and Able. Zackery told them Cloud only killed the ones he couldn’t get control over in Nibelheim. The guess was the army went on ahead to the town and started to massacre on Able’s command. Cloud arrived and made them leave. There he stayed and waited for Zackery to show up. They wondered why Cloud spared the child. Otherwise the month was quiet. Zackery knew Cloud was waiting for something, but not quite what.
Then one day, Cloud is spotted near Mt. Corel. Madnol flies Highwind over to North Corel. Zackery and Chancey begin to ask around. They learn someone of Cloud’s description was bugging a local girl. They question the girl, named Cariena. She gives the description of Cloud and tells what he did.
Cariena, “He was blond with weird glowing eyes. Right eye was blue and left eye was purple. He was all over me.”
Chancey, “Then what happened?”
Cariena, “My boyfriend Gatedo saw him and came over. He punched the stranger and knocked the stranger off his feet. Then the stranger got up and started to beat
Gatedo up. The others came to help and a neighbor shot at the stranger. The stranger grew wings and flew off to the east.”
After questioning the other townspeople, they return to the Highwind feeling confused.
Zackery, “That is very strange. His eyes usually changed between blue and purple. The bluer his eyes were, the saner he was. But a blue eye and a purple eye?”
Madnol, “Maybe the prayer was half way there before he ran for it?”
Zackery, “No, he left before the actual healing began. ”
They get a message on the radio from Kain.
Kain, “Is there someone there?”
Madnol, “Yeah, where else would we be numbnut!”
Kain, “There has been a break-in at Tylunar Headquarters. It was Cloud.”
Madnol, “He was just here. How the hell did he get from North Corel to New Midgar? Is he that fast?”
Kain, “I am not sure, but I do ask for you to come.”
Madnol turns to the others, “Well, you heard that. Cloud is either the fastest man on earth or something ain’t right.”
They return to New Midgar, the place where Tylunar Headquarters sat. Meet Kain and Syliara on the roof. From there, theyThey go to the meeting room. Kain brings up a screen and orders the tape to be shown.
Kain, “We got him on video. He was caught taking power supplies and electronic equipment.”
The video show Cloud carrying stuff in a large bag and escaping out a window.
Zackery, “Can you back it up some? I want to see his face.”
Kain does such. They see Cloud’s left eye is blue and right eye is purple. Plus, he looked in his early twenties.
Zackery, “The opposite.”
Kain, “Opposite?”
Zackery, “When Cloud was near Mt. Corel, his eyes were left purple, right blue.”
Kain, “Well, that doesn’t explain what he is planning.”
Madnol, “So, we have to wait for him to appear somewhere else.”
They go to see Vincent in Wutia. Vincent has been helping Yuffie’s son, Foden, with Wutia defenses. There wasn’t much to work with, but they were supplied with better guns now. Vincent almost seemed happy to see them.
Vincent, “Any news?”
Madnol, “That Cloud is not gay and is into building stuff now.”
Vincent gives him a puzzled look. Zackery explains things.
Vincent, “Some new developments. Cloud may be crazy, but he does things for a reason. He has something planned.”
Xavier walked over. He has been busy helping with repairs around Wutia.
Xavier, “Hey, I see you haven’t crashed the airship yet.”
Madnol, “Fuck you too.”
The brothers laugh as this was normal banter for them.
Zackery, “So, how go the repairs?”
Xavier, “I am done. I am just doing little stuff. Since you’re here, I can now look
over Highwind. I have been dying to look over it with a fine tooth comb all month!”
Madnol, “Just don't break anything, you bum.”
Xavier goes aboard Highwind chuckling.
Zackery, “I am tired. If you don’t mind, I am going to take a nap.” And he walks off.
Madnol, “This waiting and uncertainty must be the hardest for Zack.”
Chancey, “He still believes we can help Cloud..... I don’t know anymore.”
Madnol, “Hell, I am not giving up hope. If he believes then I will also.”
Xavier was still looking over the Highwind, when they heard there was another sighting on Cloud near Costa Del Sol. He was spotted by various spies sent out to keep an eye out for him.
Landing Highwind nearby, they walk into the town. Costa Del Sol is a resort town, an ideal for a simple vacation. The town has various shops, restaurants, hotels, and a lovely beach. Chancey and Zackery find Cloud on the beach with a woman. He looks in his early twenties and is all over her. Weird part? She seems to be enjoying it.
Cloud, “Why I am very gifted. I am sure I can sure I can entertain you.”
Girl, “Oh, I bet you could.” she giggles, “ Your place or mine?”
Zackery, “Excuse us. . “
Cloud looks at them with little curiosity. His right eye was blue and left eye was purple.
Cloud, “What? Can’t you see I am with a lovely lady?”
Zackery is speechless. He just realizes he couldn’t sense anything from Cloud.
Cloud, “Go away!”
Chancey, “We have some matters to discuss with you!”
Cloud, “God, don’t you have a life?”
Zackery, “We’ll talk to you later. Come on Chancey..., “ pulls her away. “I don’t get a thing from him. Nothing.”
Chancey, “What?”
They look back to see both Cloud and the girl are gone.
Zackery, surprised, “Damn, he can move. . . . “
