Eyes On Me
~*~Eyes On Me...~*~
We met once upon a time in a dance
Never knowing there was a chance
That you and I would fall under one another's spell
We were gazing up at the stars as they fell down from the sky
Then suddenly you stopped, and looked into my eyes
As our gazes locked, I felt something inside me...
But still I held back
You were moving towards me, a sweet smile on your face
And I was confused: Out of all the people there, why me?
And then you where there in front of me
Your beautiful eyes enchanting
You said, "Dance with me?", and I just stared, dumb-founded
As I continue to say nothing, you took my hand and pulled me to the dancefloor
I was such a terrible dancer... I stepped on your toes
We bumped into another couple and I can't seem to get my feet moving
But during all the disasters, you were still there...
Never giving up on me
As I saw your faith in me, I was compelled to give it my best shot
And as we danced gracefully, the fireworks exploded from above...
And in my heart
As our dance came to a close, I found myself looking down on your face
I was about to speak, when you suddenly walked away from me
I didn't even get to hear your name...
I never expected to see you again
I was content with my life, the way I am and how I deal with others
But when you came into my life, you changed all of that...
All of a sudden I was feeling things I never even thought I'd feel or existed
All of a sudden I wanted to be close to someone
Not just anyone... but you
I felt the fear of losing you, I felt the hopelessness that came with the thought of failing you
And not being there when you need me
For the first time in my life, I was truly caring for another
But was it just me simply caring? I ask myself
And when I faced the coldness of death, I had my answer
I was trying desperately to live because I wanted to see your beautiful face again
I tried valiantly to survive, just so that I could be with you in our special place
While I was in darkness, it was you that I thought of
I imagined having your eyes on me...
Those enchanting eyes gazing straight at me, and telling you how I felt inside
And suddenly, you were there
Touching my face...I felt your tears as they fell and I felt reborn
It's because of you that I'm alive, you're the reason I survived
I will forever be thankful upon seeing your eyes on me
Because finally, I loved...

~*~ hey. well, this is my 2nd dabble in writing here. just wanted to share some of my work to you guys. this one clearly sums up most of the events that happened in FF8 in Squall's POV. the ending kinda sucks, but I still like it. :D so if you guys have time, come tell me what you think of it ok? thanx and happy reading! ~*~
