When The Tears Start To Fall

"I can't do it, Tidus... I can never forget everything you've sacrificed for me. I can't let you go, but I have to move on... Your story has ended, and mine is just... beginning." Yuna fell to her knees, sobbing. It had been a year since Sin's defeat and the loss of her beloved. As she cried, she felt a strange presence nearby. It wasn't a malevolent spirit, but it seemed comforting to her. She looked around, trying to see what it was she felt, but as she did it faded away. She sighed and looked at the ground, feeling a strange caress along her back. It was a gentle, loving rub, but it didn't feel like any hand she'd ever felt. She looked back behind her and there stood Valefor, his wing running up and down her back in the sweetest of caresses. She dove into him, snuggling her face into his soft chest. Her tears fell upon his chest and he wrapped his wings around her in a loving embrace. She whimpered softly into his chest, the pain of Tidus' loss still holding onto her heart relentlessly. His memory just wouldn't let go and it was destroying her. Valefor's tears trickled gently down upon his wings, fighting off the feelings in his heart. His heart had been set on her since he saw her the first time, back when she first became a summoner. His bond with her was great, and his feelings would just get in her way. He was just a simple Aeon, and Aeons were forbidden to love. When they gave up their souls to become Fayth, the lost the right to love, and he knew that as long as he was an Aeon, she wouldn't want him. He sighed softly and stared up into the sky. He was about to leave when he heard a soft, beautiful voice speak to him.

"Valefor... I don't know what I'd do without you. You're more reliable than any of my friends, and much more loyal. You're the only thing I need by my side... My only true loved one. Never leave me, please... Be there when I need you, and care for me as I do for you..." With that said she kissed his soft chest gently, nuzzling it a little before turning to walk away. Valefor blushed darkly and smiled as he watched her walk away, shocked by the fact that even though he was no longer human, she still loved him. As she walked past the horizon, he lifted his wings and flew off, disappearing back into the Besaid Temple to rest. It was there that his story truly began...

As he entered the Chamber of the Fayth to rest, he saw another Fayth standing in the corner of the tiny room. He blinked a bit before speaking confused.

"What are you doing here? This is my Fayth Chamber, no one else is allowed in here!" The Fayth just laughed a bit and smiled, holding an outstretched hand.

"We've got a deal for you, one I don't think you can resist... Take my hand and I shall show you what I mean..." Valefor sighed softly, nervous about everything, but curious still. He took the hand of the Fayth and the two disappeared deep into the Farplane...
