Reno whent in to a bar he had heard was popular in town and sat on the stool at the counter not even looking at the tender just asks for a drink. "One adios motha fucka please."
The dark haired woman standing behind the counter served him with a suspicious look, not knowing if he actually knew where he was.
"Hmmm....Thanks", Reno finished it in one swig and set down the glass. "That was-...."Reno finally saw the women and gulped, "Uh....Hi...Umm...yeah..."
"So why are you here?" she asked.
"No reason just heard this place was popular." Reno said releasing the tension in the air, "I thought I would have a drink on my day off."
"You still work for ShinRa?" she wasn't friendly but she didn't have the intention to kick him out of the bar.
"Sort of... I run it until we find Rufus....that is but..... Don't worry I wont do anything stupid...I'm not as crazy as he was so..." Reno said hoping to get some respect from the situation but not expecting it.
The sound of a motorcycle stopping caused Tifa to look at the door. A minute later the blond, ex-SOLDIER she had expected to see appear walked in. Reno looked nervous and payed Tifa and tryied to slip out behind the blond quietly.
"Where the hell are you going, Turk?"
"Uh ....home..." Reno said walking as fast as he could out the door
Cloud grabbed his arm. "You don't have to leave because of me, I'm not going to bite you Reno. Besides I don't think only one drink is enough for you."
"Uhhh....I'm fine thanks..." Reno look kinda confused at the way the blond reacted to him without trying to kick his ass out. "See ya"
"Wait. Are you scared to the point you don't want to have a drink with me?"
"Uhh..no...I just don't like you thats all" Reno said hidding his own feelings about Cloud.
As surprising as it could be the young man laughed. "I don't like you that way either, it's just call man bonding or something like that. Cid knows better than me on that one. Besides we were friends a long time ago."
"I know but ya'know things have changed man"
"As you wish then. See you sometime"
Reno did somthing his brain didn't want him to he grabbed Clouds' solder, "That would be.....nice."
"Great."
Reno walked out of the bar got into his car and drove off
Cloud stared at the door for a while, images of the time they were training to get in SOLDIER spinning before his eyes. He used to share allot of things with Reno and now they couldn't even spend a little time together. 'Maybe I'm doing everything wrong' he thought before calling a drink to his friend.
Reno reached the make shift office as Rude was outside waiting, "Hey Rude" he said kinda mumbled
"What's going on?" asked the bald man, knowing Reno too well
"Nothin'...I...Nothin'" Reno said walking inside to his desk
"Don't give me your shit, what is going on?"
"Nothing..."
Rude frowned but decided not to get his friend mad.
In Tifa's bar Cloud was downing his fourth drink; he didn't get drunk since he was working for ShinRa. The last time was with Zack on a random party. He sighed and got to bed, head full of memories.

Reno was in the reactor chamber just finishing of one of the resistance covered in sweat he sat on the floor next to Cloud and took out a cigarette, "You want one?" Reno asked smiling at his partner.
Cloud pushed the cigarette away and laid on his back, hands crossed behind his head.
"You think Zack got out ok?" Redhead said taking a long drag from the death stick.
"Probably he's a SOLDIER after all." The young blond turned his head slightly to look at Reno.
"Yeah, hey you think they will accept me into the Turks Division?" Reno said putting his cigarette out on the cold floor
Cloud smiled, "You really want to become a Turk?"
"Maybe, I guess. I don't know really." He said with a head tilt, "Hey Cloud, If I do get accepted. Promise me you'll kick my ass if I need it, my ego ya'know" Reno said smiling big.
"I'll always be kicking your ass to keep your ego down"
"Ha ha ha, Touché" Reno said getting up off the ground, "lets get back".

When Cloud got in his bed he rumbled under his bed to get a bottle of old brandy he intended to give as a Christmas gift to Cid and sighed. He opened the bottle and started to drink straight out of the glass container.
Tifa came in "Cloud don't drink like that, what's wrong with you?" grabbing the bottle away from the man with blood shot red eyes.
"Too many memories, can you leave me alone?" He grabbed for the precious liquid, the room was spinning slightly but he just took a big breath and thought about something else.
"Uggh fine" Tifa slammed the door and walked off ranting about Cloud and his drinking
Cloud's phone rang. The young man reached out for his phone. "Hello."
"How bout we meet up tomorrow?" Reno managed to get out nervously.
"Sounds great, what time?"
"Um...11 ok" Reno said in a soft voice.
"Good to me. Where?"
Reno looked at the ceiling of his office. "You pick."
"Anywhere but here." Cloud said looking out his window at the crowded streets below.
"Kalm ok" Reno said excited.
"Perfect... funny you called... thinking about you" The blond man stammered out.
"Uh really...me to" Reno said smiling into the phone.
Cloud smiled. "Looks like we still connect." The room started to spin quickly before his eyes. "Sorry man got to go." He hung up before going throwing up in his garbage can.
Reno set down his phone and looked at Rude eves dropping by the door as he only saw his foot but just the same. "That's Rude ya'know" Reno said sarcastically at the man standing on the other side of the door way trying not to be seen.
"That delivery boy still haunts you?" Rude said coming into view fixing his gloves not looking at the redhead.
"What's your problem Mr. Clean?" Reno said smirking,
"Just asking." Rude managed to get out as not to let Reno attach any comments.
"You act as if you were my boyfriend, I swear sometimes" Reno said pulling some papers in front of him and signing the bottom of them and chuckling to him self.
Rude rolled his eyes and left the room.
"Yeah you better get out of my face before I change my mind and make you my boyfriend for real", The President fill in said smiling at the now empty door way as he went back to his work he fell asleep on the desk after 3 hours.
