T_T Well, I hope I have some returning readers, I've missed you after all. ^^ Well, this year I went through a nasty engagement. I got drunk off my ass this past new years, and he proposed to me. I don't remember too many details, but I was engaged the next day. T_T Finally, I got rid of him in July. He was such a. . .errgh, such a good for nothin'. . . . Enough bitching from me. On with the finale! But I do have a spin off in the works, but it's going to be quite different. I'll have a preview at the end of this story. ~_^ Bet 'you' can't wait.

Chapter One: Tiny Miracle

"There she is! Grab her!" I kept telling myself to run. . .I had to run, I had to get away. I had to find a place to hide, to keep her safe from them. She was my life. I looked down at the tiny bundle in my arms. She was sleeping soundly, unaware of the danger we were in.

The heavy footsteps of the men chasing me pounded in my head like a mantra. They were getting closer. I raced for the train station, my long blue skirt flaring around me. I waved wildly at the conductor. He looked confused until' he seen the men behind me. I screamed for his help, but he dashed inside the train and closed the door.

"No! Let me in! Help us, please!" I begged, pounding on the door with all my strength. Everyone was scared of the Mafia, so it was impossible to get someone to help. The whistle blew, and the area filled with steam. I could still hear the men approaching, but they couldn't see me. I looked around rapidly, trying to find a place to run.

The smoke started to clear as the train began to move. I ran along side it, gunshots ringing in my ears. One hit the side of the train, right where my head used to be. I ran until' I could see an area between two of the train cars. I reached out and grabbed the railing with my free hand, trying to climb over it.

"Ahhh!" I screeched, pain soaring through my side. I fell over the side, landing on my back. The whistle blew again as the train picked up speed. I stared up at the sky, feeling my vision blur. My baby screamed in my arms, and I tried to sit up. Pain overwhelmed me as I propped myself up against the wall. I touched my side, and I felt the warmth of blood. I'd been shot.

"It's OK, baby." I whispered to the tiny girl, kissing her cheek. I didn't know where this train was headed, but I needed to get there fast. I wasn't going to last long if I keep bleeding like this. The scenery blurred by in a flash, mixtures of browns, greens and blues. I fluttered my eyelids, feeling lightheaded. I just had to hold on long enough for her to be safe.

I reached into my dress, pulling out a small, crystal necklace. This was what they were after, that and our lives. I placed it around her tiny neck. My baby grabbed at the felt string with her tiny fingers. I cursed my husband; he was the one who got mixed up with these people. He'd ran, leaving us there to. . .die. He hadn't gotten far before they shot him down.

(Zell)

"So? What are you planning for your anniversary?" David's cheery voice beamed at me through the phone. I could almost see the big grin on his face. Hmmm, killing Selphie and Seifer came to mind. After what they pulled on my wedding night, they deserved to be paid back.

"Oh, and don't think about killing Selphie, she's already in hiding." Damn. I wanted revenge for what she did. Seifer had talked her into it, yes, but it was still her prank. She'd cast 'hero' on herself, giving her a transparent look. Add a wig, makeup and a knife, and you had a spooky girl.

"Does she 'still' show those pictures around?" I asked, holding the phone against my ear with my shoulder. I looked out the kitchen window; I could see Squall in the backyard, messing with the lawnmower. He didn't look too happy, if the obscenities coming out of his mouth were any indication.

"Yeah! She shows them to 'everybody'!" I groaned at David's remark. I headed over to the door leading down into the basement. It opened with a creak. I bounded down the stairs, my sneakers thumping on the concrete steps.

"Which one? The one where I'm flying naked over Squall or the one where we're diving out the window, our asses hanging in the air?" I couldn't help but crack a smile, though. It was pretty funny. . .after wards. I thought Seifer was gonna shit a brick; he was laughing so hard when we fell into the bushes.

"Both!" Of course. . . .

"Anyway! Back to the point! Whatcha' doin' for your anniversary?" I'd hoped that he wouldn't remember asking. I had no idea what I was gonna do. I'd never had an anniversary before, so I was still thinking about it.

"I don't know yet." I told him truthfully. I glanced around the basement once I turned the light on. It swung overhead from a thin cord. The washer and dryer were still in the same place, but now the basement had been cleaned out and I'd installed a home gym. Now I could beat the shit out of the punching bag without having to travel to Balamb or to the Garden.

"Well, be sure to spill 'all' the dirty details! OK?" David made me promise. I finally sighed before agreeing.

"Oh! Hey, hey, I gotta go, I have to help Selphie in the Quad." I smirked, jumping on the treadmill.

"Yeah. . .thanks for giving me her location." I heard him gasp and then I swore I heard him smack his forehead. He hung up, and I tossed the phone away, laughing. I wasn't really gonna do anything to her, though I'd been threatening for a year. I sped up the tread mill, running to keep up.

Maybe I should ask Ma about it, she'd probably have some ideas about an anniversary. I gasped, loosing my footing and falling onto the moving track below me. I was thrown back, landing a few feet away.

"Ow. . .shit!" I quickly stood, brushing the dust off my shorts. I'd forgotten that I was spending three or four days with her.

'Don't forget, Zell.' She'd said, yet here I was, just now remembering it. I glanced at my watch. It was a little past five. I should have been on the train an hour ago! I quickly ran up the stairs, forgetting about the still running treadmill. I grabbed my wallet off the kitchen counter before rushing outside.

I'd gotten halfway down the drive way when I skidded to a halt.

"Squall!" I hollered, running toward the backyard. I guessed that he 'would' be interested in knowing that I was leaving for a few days. I could just see the look on his face when he came home and I wasn't there. I found him still in the backyard, but this time he'd finally been triumphant over the machine.

"Squall!" I came up beside him. Finally he noticed me before turning off the mower. He wiped his hands on his pants. Sweat was trickling down his chest, soaking the front of his white t-shirt.

"Now, if that doesn't start, it's coming out of your hide." I waved off his threat, offering him a grin.

"Hey Squall, uh, I forgot that I was visiting Ma for the next three or four days." I tried to soften the blow of the news by pouting. He crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"Leaving kind of late aren't you? (Sigh). . .call when you get there, alright?"

"Yeah yeah I will." I hated it when he treated me like a kid, which seemed to happen more and more often. I gave his lips a quick peck before darting back toward town. I leaped over a rose bush, earning a shout from my husband. Don't worry, baby, I wouldn't tear up the roses.

I quickly made my way over to the small train station. It hadn't changed much in the year I'd been here. Dust still covered everything, and the only employee was still as rude as ever. I paid him my money before climbing aboard. At least I didn't have to worry about packing anything, because I still had stuff in my old room.

I sat in the back, next to a window. There was no one else on the train. Sometimes I wondered why they even bothered keeping this station open. I sighed and raised my foot up onto the seat, resting my chin on my knee. The train whistle blew, and then we were off. It was going to be a few hours before I got to Balamb, it would probably be dark by then.

I yawned, watching the endless desert outside the window, having nothing better to do. Then I started to think about my upcoming one year wedding anniversary. What should I do for Squall? What kind of present would he enjoy? Humph, tough call. I knew what I wanted, but I hadn't brought it up to Squall, yet. I don't know how he'd take it.

What 'would' Squall say if I told him I wanted to adopt a baby?

(Squall)

Hmph, it figures that Zell would wait 'til the last minute to inform me of his trip. I wasn't surprised; it wasn't the first time he's forgotten about his promise to his ma. I sighed, thinking about my little blond spouse. He was something else, that was evident. I reached down and pulled on the string, trying to restart the mower. It coughed and died.

"Zell. . . ." I grumbled, trying to start it again. Finally I gave up, kicking the thing before walking away. I glanced over at the tall grass by the shed.

"You win." I admitted defeat, heading to the back door. I entered to the kitchen, the smell of something burning assaulting my nose. Alarms rang in my head as smoke poured out of the oven. I quickly grabbed a towel and yanked open the oven door. Black smoke puffed out, causing my eyes to sting.

"Dammit, Zell." I whispered, pulling the remains of a chicken out of the oven. I tossed it into the trash before propping the back door open. I'd hoped that most of the smoke would clear out. I kicked the oven door shut with my foot. Sometimes I wondered about Zell and his forget fullness.

Suddenly, I could hear a faint humming noise. I stiffened, straining my ears to detect where it was coming from. It sounded like it was coming from the basement. I rolled my head around on my shoulders, getting the kinks out. I hated the basement. I was just hoping I wasn't gonna find something transparent, hideous, or ghostly in any way.

I pulled the door to the basement open, and the humming got louder. It sounded eerie to my ears. I crept down the concrete steps, my boots thudding louder than I would have liked. I reached the bottom step, ready for anything. I sighed loudly and dropped my hands to my sides when I noticed the treadmill in the corner, humming away.

I walked over and turned it off, grabbing the phone that was on the small table against the wall. I took it Zell had left that there, too. I stalked up the stairs, annoyance evident in my steps. I hated disorganization, and that's what Zell was all about, recently. I reached the top of the stairs, closing the door behind me.

"Gah!" I dropped the phone when it rang in my hand.

(David)
"We have to plan something super for them!" I bounced, my excitement brimming. Selphie grinned next to me, hanging wiring along the bottom of the stage. I just couldn't decide what we could do for them.

"We could always scare them again!" I laughed at Selphie's evil smile. She just couldn't get over that, could she? But no, unfortunately, I don't think they'd forgive a second time.

"Nah, but we could bake them a cake!" I offered, but I didn't tell her that it would be a hollow cake. . .with a naked man inside. . . . My thoughts turned naughty, and I'm tempted to go hunt Matt down.

"Yeah! That sounds like fun! And! We could throw them a party!" I loved the way she thought.

"Definitely! It will be a surprise party; this is gonna be so fun!" I couldn't stand it, I wanted Monday to hurry up and get here. Too bad it was only Wednesday.

"We have so much planning to do! OK, I'll be in charge of the decorations, and you'll be in charge of the guest list. We'll make Matt take care of the catering!" Selphie beamed, her eyes glazed over. I was with her, excitement coursing through my veins.

"Right! I'll go work on that now, and. . .I'll go inform Matt about his part!" I told her, bounding away. My hair swished around my shoulders. I was glad it was growing back, it was barely touching the top of my rear. My boots clicked on the stone steps as I left the Quad, heading into the main hall.

"Matt!" I called, ignoring the looks I was receiving. I supposed they were looking at my clothes, but they could get over it, too. My black hip hugger jeans 'were' designer, after all. And there's was nothing wrong with a guy wearing a yellow spaghetti strap shirt, right?

I wondered where he could be? He might have been with Irvine and Seifer. I headed for the Training Center, their usual hang out. I reached the hallway leading into the Training Center. I had second thoughts, thinking about the nasty Grats that were in there. I hated the gross stuff they spewed when they died.

"Mmmm. . . ." I whimpered, pushing against the doors. I entered the artificial forest. I did not want to be here.

"Matt?" I called out, walking over to the left set of doors. I didn't want to accidentally end up in T-Rexaur territory. Those things gave me nightmares. I'd seen one on the other side of the electrical fence, but I'd never been close to one. And I didn't want to be, either.

"Matt!" I cupped my hands around my mouth, hoping he was in here. I walked past a fallen tree, noticing a hole in the fencing. That was odd, it looked like it wasn't live. I walked over to the scene, picking up a stick. It looked like the wire had been torn out from the inside. It was bent outward.

"Hmm?" Curiosity took me, and I tossed the stick onto the wire. It bounced off harmlessly. Then that meant the electricity was off. I wondered how that happened? I didn't have time to think about it before the lights overhead flickered.

"Ohhh?" I gasped, backing up. Matt could wait, I wasn't staying here if the lights went off. Too late, the lights dimmed, and I heard the generator kick in. But then it died with a long hum.

"Oh no." My voice squeaked. I was surrounded by darkness. I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. I tried to remain calm, listening for any sounds. I heard a rustling over to my right. I raised my hands to my chest, tangling my fingers together. Oh god oh god oh god.

"Hello?" I whispered, and the rustle grew louder. Maybe it was Matt? Maybe it was a grat? Maybe it was a ferocious monster stalking me? I gulped at that last thought.

(Seifer)

"Why do we automatically get chosen when something like this happens?" I wondered aloud, propping Hyperion onto my shoulder. Matt strode beside me, a flashlight in his hand. The Garden was completely dark. There was an electrical malfunction, as Miss Intructor Quistis explained it.

"Because we're capable, I suppose. Anyway, let's check this side of the hall. Make sure there's no one in the Training Center. Quistis said that sometimes this kind of failure would cause the electrical fencing to shut down." Oh I got it, so we had to be on the look out for rabid animals? Bring it on.

"Bring it!" I voiced my enthusiasm, taking the lead. I was in the mood to slice up some T-Rexaurs. Or at least put them to sleep and then Blizzard them to death. Yeah, that sounded like fun.

"What's that sound?" Matt asked, and I stopped in my tracks. It was coming from the Training Center. I let my lips curl into a lazy grin. I cocked my gun blade before taking a step forward.

"That. . .would be our monsters." I told him, and I nodded when he pulled his gun. Suddenly, the second generator kicked in, and the Garden filled with a very dim light.

(David)

"La. . .dah. . .dum. . .de dah. . .somethin' somethin' do all day. . . ." I sang to myself in the darkness, pacing a few feet. I didn't dare travel too far; I never knew what I was gonna fall in. I sighed when I heard a click, I knew the back up generator had kicked in. My relief was short lived, though, when I seen that I was no more than two feet from the head of a T-Rexaur. It was staring at me intently.

"What are you doin' on this side of the fence?" I croaked, taking a step back. The monster roared in response. The sheer wind of it blew my hair back. Against all common sense, I turned tail and ran.

"Wahhhh!" I made a beeline for the exit, practically flying when I heard the pounding footsteps behind me. I shoved into the doors leading to the main part of the Training Center. I was knocked to the ground when the T-Rexaur slammed into the door, tearing it, and the adjoining wall, down. I got up onto my knees, looking over my shoulder.

The monster was stuck in the narrow hole it'd smashed in the wall. I sighed in relief, it seemed to be stuck there. Then, it shoved against the rubble with it's mighty torso, breaking through to the other side. I stumbled forward, getting to my feet. My boots barely touched the ground as I raced out the entrance doors.

I spotted Matt and Seifer coming down the hallway toward me.

"David! What's wrong?!" Matt grabbed my shoulders once I'd reached him. I jerked away from him. I tried to get him to run, but he didn't.

"What's goin' on?!" Seifer demanded loudly. I beat on Matt's chest with my fists.

"It's gonna 'eat' me!" I wailed. My heart was pounding in my chest.

"What's gonna eat you?" Matt shook me a bit, grasping my shoulders tightly. Just then, the entry to the Training Center busted open, causing pieces of rock and rubble to come flying at us. The T-Rexaur lumbered into the hallway.

"That!" I pointed, getting behind Matt. Seifer swung his gun blade.

"Alright!" He shouted in excitement. I hardly found it exciting in any way.

"Kill it! Kill it! Matt get it!" I commanded him, backing up as he and Seifer engaged the beast. It let out a mighty roar, the power behind it causing some of the roof to collapse. I ducked down, pressing myself against the wall. Seifer raised his hand in the air before casting Sleep on the monster. It failed, only making it madder.

Matt took aim at it's mighty neck, letting his bullets pierce the vulnerable skin below it's head. It growled, swiping at them. Seifer jumped out of the way, leaping up onto the long tail of the T-Rex. Matt kept the beast occupied, shooting at it from afar. Seifer stumbled up the tail, impaling his gun blade into the dinosaur's back. The blond used it as leverage to crawl up toward it's sensitive neck.

"What a time to not have Shiva! I think Leonhart's got her!" I heard Seifer call from the back of the monster. Matt rolled out of the way when it swiped it's long, deadly claws in rage. I knew I could help, that I should help, but I couldn't break myself away from the wall.

"David! Cast your ice magic!" I could hear Matt hollering at me, but I didn't register it. I admitted it. I was a coward when it came to the T-Rexaur.

"I. . .I can't!" I shouted; my eyes were unable to look away from the beast. My knees trembled in terror.

"Just cast the damn spell!" Seifer yelled at me, slashing away at the back of the T-Rexaur's neck. Matt looked back at me.

"You can!" He encouraged me. Then, he was knocked to the side with a swing of the beast's mighty tail. I gasped, watching as he slammed into the wall before sliding down to the floor. He wasn't moving. My knees shook as I pushed myself off the wall. I walked in front of the monster, and it settled it's attention on me. It opened it's mouth and screamed at me, but I didn't move.

I raised my hands toward it, calling upon the cold. I felt the very air around my hands freezing. I gathered it, slowly building a mist of blue around my hands. I closed my eyes; my hair blew around my body furiously. I couldn't hold the spell's power back anymore. I let it fly, gathering around the monster.

It paused mid roar as it's body turned completely blue. It was frozen solid. Seifer ran his gun blade through it's skull, causing the head to crack. Seifer jumped down as the crack spread, until' it's whole body was cracked. Seifer swiped Hyperion, slashing at one of the frozen legs. The frozen limb broke off, causing the creature to fall from the imbalance. The rest of it shattered as it hit the floor.

I sighed, my whole body shaking. It was finally over. I rushed over to Matt, who groaned.

"Hey! Are you OK?" I knelt beside him, resting my hands on his shoulder. He looked over at me and smirked.

"Yeah, but that T-Rexaur's not. I told you you could do it." I blushed, turning my head to the side. If only I'd done it sooner, Matt wouldn't have even gotten hurt.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled, squeezing his arm with my hands. I helped him get to his feet.

"Don't worry about it." He waved it off, grinning at Seifer.

"Well, I suppose we'd better report this to Quistis. . .David, I'm alright." Matt tried to push me away as I wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I didn't want him hurting himself, of course.

"David!" He threatened, and Seifer chuckled.

"I'll go see Miss Instructor, you guys can do whatever you want. Why not play doctor?" Seifer flicked his hair out of his eyes before trudging away. I didn't mind the thought of playing nurse to Matt's injuries.

"Let's go back to the dorms and wait for the lights to come back on." I suggested, hoping my hint got across. It did.

"Yes, doctor." I ran my hand down his side, pawing at his crotch.

"Can't you wait 'til we're alone, at least?" Matt gasped out, and I giggled.

"We 'are' alone. . . ." I purred, pressing up against his side.

"You're impossible." I took it as a compliment. I behaved, though it was rather tempting to let him take me right there in the hallway. I let him walk on his own; he didn't seem injured at all. I grasped his hand as we headed toward the dormitory.

"I am sorry, though." I reminded him, and I felt him squeeze my hand.

"It's alright, you came through in the end." I looked away, my gaze falling on the fountains pouring water into the pool. The sound of the running water calmed me, and I watched the water swirl and lap at the edge of the walls. Before I knew it, we had arrived at Matt's room. We weren't allowed to share a room, but I practically lived there, anyway.

The back up generator was still the only thing keeping the dim lights on. I wondered how long it would take for them to get the main lights back on. We entered the room, and I wandered over to the window while Matt locked the door. I gazed at the twinkling stars glittering in the night sky. I could see the moon, it stood high and majestic above the tree lines.

My thoughts wandered back to the Training Center, and the incredible fear that had gripped me. I didn't understand; I'd fought monsters before, but none terrified me like the T-Rexaur. I remembered seeing Matt, slumped on the floor. I had thought he was dead. Tears stung in my eyes, threatening to spill over.

"I love you." I voiced my thoughts. Matt came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. The sleeves of his SeeD uniform scratched at my skin. I held his hands against my stomach. I knew that I didn't say it often, even though I should. I waited for Matt to respond, but he didn't. I tilted my head back and to the side, looking up into his face.

He still didn't say anything; he just leaned down and kissed me. I closed my eyes, pressing my mouth against his. He was warm and moist, and I shivered when he gently touched my lips with his tongue. I parted them, letting him slide into me. I raised one of my hands, wrapping it around the back of his neck.

He ran his hand up my chest, before playing with the strap on my shirt. He slowly slid it down my shoulder, grazing his fingertips along my arm. I pulled back from our kiss, my lungs burning for air. I took a deep breath as I looked up into his eyes. I saw what he couldn't tell me. It was alright, I knew his heart was mine.

I closed my eyes and tilted my head to the side, letting him place butterfly kisses on my shoulder and neck. He turned me around, and I wondered why I was dizzy. He placed his index finger under my chin, making me look at him.

"David. . . ." He murmured, and I barely heard him. I shut my eyes, running my hands along his chiseled chest.

"Take me, Matt. I need you." I begged, pressing my body against his. He rumbled low in his throat, placing his hands on my back.

"Dammit, David. . .you're not making this easy. Can't you see that I'm trying to tell you that. . .I love you?" He whispered, before sweeping me into a deep kiss. I leaned my head back, wrapping my arms around his shoulders. My head spun with the power behind his words. I barely noticed when he lifted me up, his arm under my knees. I kept my eyes closed and my lips against his even as he laid us down on the bed. He let his weight come down onto my chest, but I welcomed the feeling. I gripped his hair tightly, keeping his lips close to mine. He ran his hands down my sides before undoing my pants.

I arched my back, letting him slide my jeans down, revealing my purple underwear. He picked up my leg, trailing wet kisses down the inside of my knee. I raised my hands above my head, moaning my lover's name. His warm fingers tugged at the hem of my underwear, before pulling them down to my knees.

My need for him stood at attention, and I bit my lip when he massaged me gently. I let him touch me a few moments longer before I softly brushed my hand across his. He sat back, reaching down and unbuttoning his uniform jacket. He discarded the coat on the floor before grabbing the hem of his white undershirt. I watched him pull it off slowly, revealing his taut chest to my eyes.

He tossed the shirt off the bed before unbuckling his belt. He eased his slacks over his rear before kicking them off to the floor. I could stand it no longer, and I showed him by ripping my own shirt off. I ran my hands along my stomach, spreading my legs.

"Make love to me." I told him breathlessly, my body on fire with desire. He leaned off to the side of the bed, and came back with a tiny bottle of lubricant. I reached down and trailed a finger up the side of my member, smiling when he nearly dropped the bottle. He finally gained control, greasing his fingers with the warm liquid.

I parted my lips in pleasure when he pushed the tip of his finger inside me. A thrilling sensation swept over me. He didn't hurry, just slid inside with the biggest amount of patience I'd ever seen. I let him place my leg over his shoulder. I snuggled my body down into the sheets, running my free foot along the bed.

"Matt." I whispered, sighing loudly in content when he pulled his finger out slowly. He slid back in with the same slowness, his finger curling up against my walls. I grabbed his arm, scooting down close to him. He answered with a kiss, tracing his other hand along my thigh. His thrusts were quicker now, trying to ready me for his girth.

"Ohhh. . .careful." I teased, a grin playing on my lips. He shook his head at me before removing his finger. I grabbed the bottle before he could. I opened it. He looked at me curiously as I coated my hand. I reached down and gripped his arousal softly. He grabbed my knee tightly, his other hand exploring my hips and side. I slid my fist down around his member as slowly as I could manage, earning murmurs of approval as a reward.

Gripping the base of his cock, I pulled it gently towards me. It was warm and wet as it slid around my soft sack. Matt's grip on my leg got tighter still; his eyes never left my hand. I slid it down further, teasing the tip with my entrance.

"Matt, take me right now." I couldn't seem to get my usual commanding tone in my voice. He didn't seem to notice, though, as he took his member from my hand. I raised my other leg, letting him reach around and grab my hip. He inched the tip inside, waiting a few moments before sliding in a little more.

"It's so good, baby." I gasped, my heart fluttering in my chest. He slid the rest of the way in, and I felt. . .complete. I told him so, too. He chuckled down at me, placing his right hand above my head. Matt leaned down and we kissed; he bowed his back, thrusting his hips up against me. I let my hands rest on his back, feeling the muscles move with every rock of his pelvis. He kept the pace slow, and I sighed in appreciation.

His lips were all over my face, lingering on my chin and neck. His chest rubbed softly against mine as we moaned together, the burning pleasure spreading throughout my body. I ran my hands along his lower back, resting them on his hips. I pulled him against me every time he thrust. He was slow and deep; I couldn't remember the last time making love had been so connecting.

"I love you." I didn't know why I wanted to say it again, but I did. He kissed on my neck, letting his tongue tease my sensitive skin. He pulled my hips up, sliding deeper inside. I cried out, extreme bliss running through my crotch. Sweat dripped along my forehead, and I writhed around, my whole body tense with pleasure.

"Ohh. . . ." Matt groaned above me, and I dug my fingernails into the sides of his neck. He took my mouth with a kiss, and I felt his warm semen coat my insides. I pressed up against him, clenching my muscles gently. His body quivered on top of me, and I ran my hand through his damp hair.

"Matt. . .that was incredible." I whispered, unable to find my voice. He laid down on top of me, and I wrapped my legs around his waist. I never wanted it to end. Then I thought of something.

"Hey, I wonder if any other monsters got out of the Training Center?" I wondered idly. and Matt chuckled.

"There's only two. Grats and T-Rexaurs." His voice was gruff, the tone relaxed. I let my fingers slide along his shoulder blades.

"OK, then I hope that no more T-Rexaurs get loose." I shivered just thinking about it.

"If they do, I'm sure that the SeeDs in the Garden have it all under control." I sighed, satisfied with his answer. The intercom next to the bed beeped, causing me to jump a bit. Irvine's voice chimed through.

"Matt! Find David and get to the Training Center. . . ." The rest was cut off by a loud roar. Matt leaned up on his arm.

"Or not."
