The Mysidian Dancer
You probably remember the woman from Mysidia that danced and turned the party to pigs. I think all of us have some story of renting the game and having our save file humiliatingly changed to pig status after this scenario. Anywho, here's a creative idea I had with that- this is not a full on story, but more of a mini-story. If there are positive reactions I might expand on this idea and add some backstory. Enjoy!
***
Cecil made a stop at the mysterious town of Mysidia- he had been there once, when sent to steal a crystal when he worked for Baron. Now he came, confused after the wreck of the Leviathan. The citizens still harbored a deep resentment toward him because they remembered how he gruesomely took their crystal the time before. He's tried talking to a few people, but most have met him coldly or threatened to put him under some unfortunate magic. Erring on the side of caution, he takes off his helmet to come across friendlier, and decides to go to the inn to rest.
The inn is a small place with just a few tables and dark lighting. "Perfectly unassuming," the dark knight thinks to himself. When he gets there, the place is rather empty, save for a few people gossiping in the corner, oblivious to his presence. The tired knight looks around. Nothing out of the- wait. In one corner, alone at a table, there's a mysterious dark girl, what looks like a Middle Eastern dancer with long, dark brown hair done in twin ponytails. On her body are delicate silken dancer's clothes, of many pastel tones, covering moderately her deep purple lingerie underneath. Her legs are well-shaped, tan and shiny, and she has on a pair of glittering dancer's shoes.
Her piercing eyes grab those of Cecil as he is instantly drawn towards her. Something about her aura seems inviting and worthwhile, as if he was meant to talk to her. While she stares he cautiously approaches the table, ignoring all else in the inn. When he steps near he sees a chair across from her. She purses her lips and whispers "Have a seat."
Is this woman a prostitute? Why is she not being mean? Questions race through Cecil's mind as she interrupts with a surprising question. "Would you like to watch me dance?" she asks in a seductive voice. He's instantly taken aback and doesn't quite know how to reply. He still thinks about Rosa, even though after the disaster with the Leviathan she may be lost forever. At this he gives no reply. And she pays no attention to that.
"Watch me dance," she invites, standing up.
Cecil is only slightly confused as the lights suddenly turn a deep red, and everything besides the two of them quickly becomes blurred. A song- Dancing Calbrena- begins to play from an unknown source. The song is slow and throbbing, like a waltz, and strums to a hypnotic rhythm. She begins to twirl in place and move her hands to the beat, gazing at Cecil in the eyes and rarely breaking the gaze. Her feet caress the floor in fluid movements and her hands follow her body like a velvet scarf in air, flowing gracefully to and fro with the motion. As the dancer moves, slight glitter on the lingerie she wears underneath her sheer dancer's costume twinkles in the deep red light.
She smirks confidently, knowing that her moves are flawless. Cecil's eyes are fixed on the dancer, as he grows sleepier and sleepier, transfixed on her every move. She sharply moves her hips and head, her hair falling back and forth as she walks slowly around Cecil, delicate stroking his face in between some of her movements. As she is near him, her hands open as she sprinkles a fine dust all over the air. She shakes her ass underneath the cloth as she turns her back to him and approaches the table again.
Once there, she sprinkles more dust everywhere, gyrating more to the rhythm. Her smell is exotic and inviting, and every touch of hers like smooth velvet. Cecil thinks slightly of Rosa but is otherwise lost and hypnotized by the dance. He is still transfixed by the dancer, but his eyes are almost shut. She continues to move and move her hands around, weaving magic and sensual suggestion together in a hypnotic enchantment. The dance is perfect and irresistible.
"Sleep, Cecil, sleep," she beckons as his eyes drift shut. He feels a slight alarm at her knowing his name, until she sprinkles more dust on him and runs her hand along his face. She then lets out a victorious, evil laugh. Right as Cecil loses it, she mumbles, "Golbez will be quite proud of me..."
***
Cecil wakes up to find his body in pig form. He appears to be in some throne room- in front of... Golbez! And at his side are Kain and a bound Rosa.
A tall, blonde woman comes in the room wearing nothing except a golden bikini. She leans over and kisses the pig on the forehead. Then, before Cecil's bovine eyes she transforms in a burst of magic into the same Middle Eastern dancer he encountered the night before. This is Vivalis, Elemental of Wind. Then, in another burst of energy, she transforms Cecil back into his human form. But this Cecil's eyes are glazed over completely white. The night before, she had worked powerful magic over his mind and wiped all thoughts of any heroism once in him.
The memories come back slightly. They were upstairs, in the inn, and he didn't remember the Middle Eastern woman, but the blonde one. She had summoned small gusts to create a spiral that mesmerized his eyes, while at the same time cooing in his ear commands and temptations. For hours she planted subliminal messages in him, gradually washing away his thoughts and motivations.
"Relaxxxx, Cecil."
"Yes, Vivalis."
"You couldn't resist my dance...?"
"No, Vivalis."
"Not in the slightest bit?"
"No, Vivalis."
"Good. Relax, Cecil... surrender to me."
"Yes, Vivalis."
"You are a slave to Golbez."
"Yes, I am a slave to Golbez."
He was a general in the army of Baron, and would be made to be similarly subservient in a new army. Cecil was completely vulnerable to Vivalis, and she took advantage of this.
Back in the present, the brainwashed Cecil is led over the the throne of Golbez. He stands at the side of the hypnotized Kain and stares straight ahead. At his side is a bound and gagged Rosa. Captured. Vivalis looked to the bound Rosa, Cecil's true love, and back to the former hero that she had hypnotized. What irony, she thought, as she left the throne room to plan similar fates for the other party members.
