Rikku's Fear of Aeons
It was a beautiful day. The sky was an ocean of blue, not a cloud in sight, and the sun beamed down on the Moonflow, bringing a pleasant warmth to counteract the cool breeze that swept the area. The leaves of the sparse vegetation rustled with the wind and the Summoner and her six guardians hiked along the well trodden path at their own leisure. It was the kind of day that made people wonder if Spira was really under constant attack from Sin, the incarnation of evil.
Most of the group were chatting happily about various things. Tidus and Wakka were having a Blitzball talk, Yuna and Lulu had began discussing the intricacies of their forms of magic while Rikku floated between the two conversations. Occasionally, the bubbly Al Bhed would get herself confused as to which talk she was participating in and manage to completely fuddle all five speakers. They usually laughed it off and even the pensive Auron would crack a smile. It was almost normal.
But it wasn't, and Rikku knew it. Despite being highly spirited, the young woman had a gnawing depression in the back of her mind. She had only been with the group for a while, but she wasn't sure how long she could go on pretending to be happy when she knew what Yuna's ultimate fate would be.
But she couldn't let thoughts like that slow her down. No sense in it. Besides, there was something special about this Summoner. She knew it. Maybe things would turn out okay in the end.
A strand of her bright, blond hair dropped in her eyes and she pushed the unruly lock tightly behind her ear. Sunlight reflected off her mane, a medley of yellow spikes that ended in shoulder-length, thin, tight braids. It was an odd hairstyle, but framing her smooth, round face it looked completely natural.
As she walked, she twisted her body at the hips. The reddish leather vest that covered her top contoured to each turn. No matter what angle she was in, it managed to hug her in all the right places. The sun was bright that afternoon, and occasionally the goggles that hung around her neck would reflect it's rays. Rikku was glad the sun was shining though. The green, ultra short hot-pants she wore offered her legs almost no protection against the wind. The belt that was slung around her hips was for decoration alone. It wasn't even buckled properly, or tightly.
Suddenly, Auron halted and held up his right hand, signaling the rest of the group to stop and be silent. When the conversation died, Rikku could clearly hear a loud buzzing. Bite bugs. She craned her neck and counted three of the wasp-like creatures that didn't seem to want the group to pass. Rikku huffed. Three bite bugs were easy pickings.
“Want me to take care of them,” Rikku asked.
“No.” It was Lulu. “It has been a while since Yuna has had a chance to fight with an Aeon. I think we should let her handle this.”
“I agree,” Auron said and the rest of the group nodded their approval.
Except Rikku. She paled at the thought.
“Uh, don't you think that might be overkill? I mean, they're only bite bugs.”
“This time,” Auron agreed, stepping back to give Yuna room to work. “But we want her ability to command the Aeons to stay sharp. Next time we may face something bigger than a few inscets.”
“B-but what if she gets hurt,” Rikku countered.
“Yuna? No way,” Wakka chimed in. “She'll summon an Aeon and WHAM,” he made a show of clapping his hands together, “those nasty insects will be dead before ya' know it.”
“Yeah,” Tidus agreed. “Yuna'll toast those guys.”
The young summoner blushed slightly and bowed. “Thank you for trusting me,” she said. Then turned toward the three bugs. “Now, Valefor, come to my aid.”
The guardians were standing several meters back, Rikku being the farthest away. She didn't know how to admit it to the others, but she was afraid. She had never seen an Aeon before, but she'd heard that they were huge, ferocious beasts. A ball of anxiety began building in the pit of her stomach. The first time she'd laid eyes on Sin she completely soiled herself. The knot of fear in her gut was present that time, too. God, she hoped that didn't happen again.
But it wouldn't. It couldn't. That had been a few years ago. Besides, the Aeons were on her side. Yuna would keep it under control. There was nothing to worry about.
Suddenly, a black tear appeared in the sky and a massive, bird-like creature emerged. It was a mishmash of reds, blues and golds. The giant wings were bat-like rather than feathered and giant talons adorned it's feet. The beast let out a high, piercing shriek. That was more than Rikku could bear.
Terror slammed like a fist into her bladder. Unbidden, it's contents gushed from between her legs. A dark patch appeared on the crotch of her green shorts. The tight material dammed the flood only briefly. Soon, pee soaked through the cloth and sprinkled to the ground; or cascaded down her legs and into her boots to be absorbed by her socks.
But she was panicked. She didn't even notice that, for nearly a full minute, her bladder emptied itself into her shorts. She stared at the Aeon, jaw agape, unable to move. As the last drops of urine exited her body, her frightened bowel released it's contents.
The fear induced-poop was not solid like Rikku's normal movements. Rather, it was soft, formless mush that her body excreted very rapidly. It poured from her anus to the sound of a low pitch hum. Her shorts tried to contain the mess spilling into them by expanding, but they were tight and lacked elasticity. They sagged only a few centimeters then refused to budge, but the waste continued to flow.
Left with nowhere else to go, the mess began heaping up inside her clothes. It worked it's way up her butt cheeks, toward the small of her back. The shorts were tight enough around her legs that it could not proceed downwards, so it began inching it's way around her hips and between her legs. Finally, the wave weakened and died, but it's damage was complete. Feces were piled so high in her shorts that they threatened to leak through the waist band and they had nearly overtaken the front of her clothes as well as the back. It was the hot weight that wrapped itself around her bottom that finally broke her mental reprieve.
“Not again,” she whispered to herself as her hands roamed her ruined clothing. The shorts were warm and wet and Rikku was disgusted. Why not, who wouldn't be?
At least the rest of the group hadn't noticed her little accident. They were intent on the battle that Yuna was clearly winning. Rikku glanced around quickly, looking for someplace to hide and do what she could to remedy the damage. She spotted a thick bunch of shrubs. She could hide there, no one would see her if they didn't look. Carefully, she waddled behind the bushes.
She peeked over the brush and seen that there was only one bite bug left. And it wouldn't last long. She needed to hurry. Gingerly, her pants lowered and she became aware that there would be no hurrying.
She was a wreck. Her thighs, buttocks and waist were coated with crap and as she pulled the shorts off, they left trails of the stuff on the insides of her legs. Crap had mashed up and her butt crack was full of poop that refused to let go, even when she vigorously shook her bottom. It was almost like she'd been wearing brown panties underneath the green shorts.
Speaking of the shorts, she couldn't bear to look at them. She kicked them away and squatted down. She flicked a few leaves, wondering if they'd be enough to clean up.
“Rikku, where are you?” It was Tidus. She peeked over the bush again and seen that the fiends were dead and the Aeon was gone. The other six members of the group were looking for her. Worse, wakka was heading straight for her bush. Now what?
“Uh, don't come back here,” she squeaked. “I'm, uh, ... you know.”
“Oh,” Wakka replied, brushing the back of his head timidly. “Take your time, eh? We'll wait for you.”
“N-no,” Rikku stammered. “I think I'm going to be a while.” Her faced flashed red, but she continued. “I'm kinda sick. I've got,” her words trailed off, “...you know.”
“Oh. Something you ate, ya,” Wakka asked.
“Probably,” Rikku responded. She peeked over the hedge. Neither of the girls seemed to be making a move to check on her. “I'm probably going to be a while. Guadosalam isn't far. You guys go on ahead, I'll catch up.”
“Are you sure,” Yuna this time. “I could give you a remedy. I'll bet that would...”
“No thanks, Yunie,” Rikke interrupted. “It's pretty bad and if you were me I'll bet you wouldn't want anyone seeing you like this.”
“No, I suppose not,” Yuna agreed.
“Just go on ahead,” she urged. “Wait for me at the inn, I'll catch up soon. Then, we'll try that remedy. Okay?”
“Alright,” Yuna conceded. “Are you sure you'll be okay?”
“Positive.”
The group said goodbye and Rikku waved them off. She watched them walk away until they were little dots on the horizon. The mess, by then, had caked onto her skin. She'd need water to clean it off. It she remembered correctly, the shoopuf crossing was nearby. She could probably clean up in the water there. But there wasn't enough cover for her to get there bare bottomed. Sadly, she grabbed her discarded shorts and shook free as much of the poop as she could. With a resigned sigh and a cold shudder, she pulled them back up. The cooling waste inside them spurned her on. She set off toward the cleansing waters at a quick gait.
