His Just Reward

The scent was close now he could almost taste the aroma of blood and ash that surrounded the nearby crash landing site of the High Wind. * I hope I am not to late…* Vincent thought to himself as he glided across the desert with his demonic powers. He could finally see the smoke rising from the ship, as well as hearing the screaming of many innocent passengers aboard the High Wind. He made it and not a moment to soon. He drew Cerberus (his gun) and aimed it at the air locked ships containment door. The door flew open after a few rounds of the Cerberus. Luckily for his demonic sense of hearing he could hear the screams of the passengers onboard through the thick smoke. He pushed his way pasted the barrels knocked over everywhere of assorted parts and materia that Yuffie most likely had been collecting. Vincent finally made it to the containment cell where he could now hear the screams from behind the door. “Please stand back from the door.” Vincent yelled over the roaring crackle of the flames.

“Vincent. I guess you got my message after all.” Cloud boomed from behind the door.

“Hmm and as I see it I got here just in time.” Vincent replied as he loaded his gun. “Stand away from the door Cloud.” Vincent demanded as he aimed his gun at the locking mechanism on the door. Cloud cleared from the door and made everyone back up as well. Vincent only needed 1 round from the Cerberus to destroy the lock and making the door break free. From the thick of the smoke the people saw Vincent enter through the doorway and motioned his head to follow him. Cloud and the others followed Vincent as he lead them out of the burning ship.

“Owwwwwww it’s so hot in here!” Yuffie exclaimed. She then noticed the knocked over box of materia. “Hey! Vincent did you knock these box’s over!” Yuffie yelled. Vincent hesitated for a second then kept running towards the exit. “HMPF!” Yuffie snorted in protest as she picked up a couple of the materia’s and carried on. They finally reached the hanger area where Vincent entered from. “Come on. This way.” Vincent murmured. Just as they reached the cargo bay in which was the only way out a human like figure appeared before them. The passengers stopped behind Cloud, Cid and the others.

“NOW WHAT! ALREADY HAVE MY SHIP BURNED TO THE GROUND NOW SOME FIGURE BLOCKING ARE WAY OUT!” Cid boomed. The figure emerged. It was a little boy, no bigger than Denzel. The boy stood there for a moment before removing two small daggers from his back.

“Uhhh” Yuffie said puzzled. By this time Vincent got a good look at him. He knew what he was.

“It cannot be.” Vincent murmured under his breath. With this Vincent slowly reached for his Cerberus.

The child seeing that Vincent was preparing to attack. Lunged forward at him. Vincent quickly removed his Cerberus from it’s holster and shot at the boy. The boy was amazing, quick like a cheetah but also as strong as a bear. The boy whipped his swords at Vincent. Being the only thing that he could defend himself with he blocked his blade assault with the Cerberus. Their weapons clashed. At that split second Vincent looked deep into the boy’s eyes. They were a blaze. Literately, they were burning balls of fire incased by the shell of his eye sockets.

*Just like my own after the experiment……” Vincent thought.

After this quick thought the boy attacked once again. Not being able to respond as quickly Vincent attempted to block him, but with the block he lost the grip on his gun, and fell backwards. The boy hovered over him. The boy had his blade under Vincent’s chin ready to end his life, but something was holding him back. The boy looked into Vincent’s eyes.

“Huh?” The boy murmured. Everyone was staring at the boy with the blade entwined under Vincent’s neck. The boy just stared back at them all. The boy knew he was outnumbered if he attempted to go for the kill. Once again the boy looked into Vincent’s eyes and saw something. He saw death, much death and suffering.
“Your in pain already.” The boy gestured. With that he withdrew his blade.

“Uh” Cloud and the others stared in amazement. Then stepped forward.

“Don’t think this is over….fellow experiment.” The boy said as he bolted away and up the Estersand mountains. They all stood behind Vincent.

“Are you okay.” Cloud asked in his usually calm voice.

“Fine. Just confused.” Vincent muttered as he got up and retrieved The Cerberus. Spinning it in his palm then putting it back in his holster. “We should keep moving.” Vincent told everyone. Cloud nodded and motioned for the others and the pedestrians to follow. They only had to walk out the cargo bay in which the battle took place. They reached the exit just in time. They all heard a large boom come from the top of the ship. Vincent’s skilled sense of hearing knew it was the bridge and started to run faster to get away from the ship. “Fly.” Vincent said to the other’s. They knew what this meant and began to run faster to get away from the ship.

Once they were at a safe distance. They turned and looked at the ship, their belongs burned, dreams burned, homes burned, hopes……burned. “AWWWWWWWWWWWW JUST GREAT!” Cid screamed with frustration. “My poor darling…” Cid cried as he sat down and put his face into his chest.

Cid was not the only one, Cloud and the others felt uneasy and some of them scared. Cloud walked over to Vincent who was on the hill staring into the desert. “Vincent.” Cloud said.

“Hm?” Vincent turned his neck.

“I just wanted to say.” There was a pause. “Thanks.” Cloud replied feeling a little insecure.

“You’d do the same for me. I hope.” Vincent replied.

“Yeah….” Cloud said with a little crack of a smile.

“When the transports arrive, and we get back to Midgar I want you to meet me at my condo at The Midgar International Hotel. I have a gift for you.” Cloud said with a little blush in his cheeks.

“Cloud it’s really not necessary.” Vincent replied.

“No. It is Vincent. Just meet me their would you? Room 286.” Cloud stammered and walked away.

*Wait till he sees what I have in store for him.* Cloud thought to himself and smirked.

The transports finally arrived and they all boarded on. Vincent was stationed on the second transport for protection and Cloud on the first. *I wonder…* Vincent thought to himself while sitting on the top of the transport keeping a close eye out for lurking dangers. *What could he want that he could not give to me at bar?* Vincent thought long and hard but could not think of an answer.

“Humph” Vincent snorted and concentrated at the task at hand of protecting the transport. But still in the back of his mind he though of Cloud’s gift. Then his mind began to wander. Seeing Cloud before him. Sprawling out on his king sized bed completely naked with only a thin sheet covering his waist down. His lush locks of blonde hair ungeled and hanging down to his shoulders. His beautiful pearl blue eyes staring back into his red eyes. Then Cloud leaning for a kiss….

“HEY VINCENT WERE HERE!” Cid yelled from the other end of the transport.

“Hmmmmm” Vincent sighed as he was awoken from his lucent dream. He then hopped off the back of the transport and headed towards the front where Cid and the rest of his friends were gathering. As he made his way there he could hear their laughter and chuckling. “Did I miss something?” Vincent asked innocently.

“Not at all Vincent.” Cloud replied. “We were all just remembering the good times before Sephiroth returned and all these other want to be Jenova heir’s started to corrupt are planet once again.” Cloud said and gave a little smirk at Vincent followed by an unsuspected wink.

“HEY! Lets go already! The nights still young! Tifa, Cid, Cloud and Vincent you guys up for the club tonight?” Yuffie asked with delight.

“No thanks. Not tonight Yuffie I have other matters to attend too.” Cloud replied starring into Vincent’s blazing red eyes.

“Awwww! How about you Vincent?” Yuffie asked with a shrug.

“Ummm…” Vincent muttered then looked at Cloud for support. Cloud stared at him and gave him a little eye twitch to confirm their meeting tonight at his hotel room. “No, I have errands to run…. sorry.” Vincent replied.

“AW PHOOEY ON YOU GUYS THEN! Cid, Tifa you guys are in right?” Yuffie asked hoping they were not going to ditch her too.

“Of course.” Cid and Tifa replied.

“YIPPEE! Okay then! Lets get going right away. See you tomorrow Vincent and Cloud!” Yuffie yelled as they pulled away in a shuttle transport to go to the downtown district of Midgar.

Cloud and Vincent waved goodbye and exchanged glances. Starring to each other’s eyes once again. Until Cloud gave a nod and said, “Lets go. We have many things to discuss.” As he started to walk towards the nearest shuttle transport.

Vincent just stood there for a moment and then nodded and jogged to catch up to him. They boarded the shuttle transport and Cloud told the driver to head for The Midgar International Hotel. The ride to the hotel they were completely silent, not even looking at each other. If you didn’t know they were friends you would swear they were just sharing a cab for price reasons. They finally made it to the hotel. “The International Midgar Hotel boys. That will be $22.50.” The cabby said.

They got out of the car and Vincent headed towards the entrance of the hotel as Cloud paid the cab driver. “Thanks” Cloud said. Then the driver pulled away and Cloud headed towards Vincent who was leaning against the entrance door of the hotel. *He looks so innocent.* Cloud thought to himself as he made his way towards his friend. *But that will change tonight* Cloud thought once again and smirked to himself. Cloud finally made his way to door and said. “Lets go to my room right away.”
“As you wish.” Vincent replied and followed Cloud into the hotel lobby. The hotel was massive with extensive paintings on the walls and gold stairwells. Vincent walked in silence and admired every detail of arts men ship on the walls as they both made there way to the elevator. They reached Cloud’s personal elevator and entered and punched the button to Cloud’s condo on the hundredth and second floor. “High enough for you?” Vincent asked trying to make a joke.

“I like it up here. It’s as if the sky calls to me and helps me think when I am troubled.” Cloud replied with a smile. After their brief conversation they reached their floor and exited the elevator into the entrance of Cloud’s condo. If Vincent thought that the main lobby was astonishing he had something coming. Cloud had even more detailed murals of him and his friends on one of their many adventures to save the world in each and every room, except the bedroom, It was painted like the sky, clouds on the ceiling and dark navy blue walls with shimmering stars that looked as if they actually shined.

“So Cloud what did you want to talk about?” Vincent asked without hesitation.

“Oh. Perhaps we could sit on the bed and talk.” Cloud replied and lead him into a separate room within his master bedroom with his bed. “Please sit.” Cloud said.

“Hm, okay.” Vincent replied with a little bit of a pause in his voice.

“Well the reason I told you to come with me to my suite, is because I have a reward for all your hard work and helping me and everyone else for that matter with all the messed up things going on in his world. You have gone out on many suicidal missions just to help me Vincent and I would like to repay you.” Cloud said sitting down on the bed next to Vincent.

“Well….no need to thank me Cloud it’s expected for the soldiers of the planet to risk their lives for the planet to survive.” Vincent replied a little flustered sitting so close to Cloud.

“No it is completely necessary Vincent, I have asked you for so many favors and you in return have never asked me for anything.” Cloud replied with a little bit of anger in his voice.

“If you really feel that way then Cloud, what is my reward as you so called it?” Vincent asked.

“Me.” Cloud replied with a look of lust filled in his eyes.

“What do you mean Cloud?” Vincent asked uncertain by what his friend was saying.

“I am saying you get me Vincent, my body…my spirit….and most of all my love…” Cloud replied we’ll gradually planting small seductive kisses along Vincent’s jaw line.

“Aw…” Was all Vincent could say to this sudden prowess of Cloud and could only moan in reply. “Yeah….tomorrow then….” Vincent whispered running a hand through Cloud’s golden locks and laid there staring at the ceiling until he finally drifted into a sound sleep.
