I Couldn’t Resist My Feeling Toward You.
Pre-Game
Chapter I - Birthday kiss
It has been three year since Jecht died. Not for long mother that mother followed. I have to live alone by myself, but God still has mercy on me, because he sent Auron to protect me. At least, I wanted to believe it that way.
“Auron?” Tidus walked in his floating house boat and saw no sign of Auron. “I wonder where he is…” The blond muttered as he walking in the kitchen He just came back from shopping for foods and supplies. He signed softly and opened the refrigerator and started arranging the supplies. Since his parent passed away, he has to live with Auron, who soon became his mentor and guardian.
Auron shown up not long after Jecht died, and took care of Tidus after his mother passed away. He was a quiet person and was unable to read. He always talks calmly with reason and explanation; and he always has a peaceful and calm posture on his face, with that sun-glasses. He never talks about himself or others. May be he doesn’t care, I guess. Tidus doesn’t know much about Auron, but at least he knows that he is not a bad person.
“I see, you have bought so much stuff from a market.” Auron said as he walking in the kitchen. “Are you planning to have a party or something?” He asked. Tidus looked at him, who was standing near the dinner table, which was not far from him.
“May be” The blond replied and smiled at him then continue arranging the supplied. “I want to eat what I want for my coming birthday. So I bought a lot of foods.”
“Hmm? When is it?” Auron asked. He was a bit surprised but he didn’t show it out. He didn’t know about Tidus birthday at all, how come he forgot it.
“Tomorrow” Tidus said softly. He glared at Auron a few second before he closed the refrigerator and walked pass Auron to the living room. He felt disappointed to know that Auron totally forget about his birthday. “I’ll be nine tomorrow.” He said without looking at Auron. I felt like I’m going to cry…but why? He thought to himself.
“I see.” Auron nodded in acknowledge and walked out of the house without saying anything after that.
Well, I guess, he doesn’t care. It’s always liked this anyways. Tidus thought as he sat down somberly on the soft sofa. He doesn’t really care about me…and I do well known that…but then, why I feel as if my heart is crumbling. He was questioning himself in confusion and wondering what was going on with him. Without noticing, he started to cry quietly. He didn’t know why he cried, he knew that he’s emotional, but he didn’t believe it was the reason that made he cried liked this. I like Auron; no…I think I love him. He thought in pain, he felt like somebody has drawn a knife through his chest.
“I am such a cry baby…” he sobbed quietly and tried to whip the tears away from his eyes with his tiny hands. Not long, that Tidus fell asleep on the sofa, tiring from crying too much.
Auron came back around 11 PM, and saw Tidus sleeping peacefully on the sofa. He walked toward the sleeping boy and sign when he noticed his eyes. He much has been crying and fell asleep here. He thought and sat down beside him. He ran his right hand through the blond hair gently, afraid that he might wake the boy up. Auron has been here for almost three years. He still remembered the first time he met Tidus, that crybaby who was begging his mother not died and who shouted at him for saying such a harsh words that he mother will die. Tidus was a rock head to deal with, but still, he loved him. He knew it right away that he loved this boy. It’s more than guardian or father love. He wanted to protect him from everything, but if he did that, it probably will rune the reason for him to be here. He’s here in Zanarukan because Jecth asked him to watch over his son, he watch Tidus to grow up as a strong man, and wanted him to know that life can be harsh. Auron mentally sign, if Jecth knew that I have a fond feeling toward his son, he probably going to kill me.
“Auron…” Tidus whispered his name quietly, which made him froze a little bit in surprised. However, he did not take his hand. The blond didn’t open his eyes. He yawned a bit and curled up in fetal position. He was just sleep talking; I wonder what he is dreaming. Auron thought with a smile on his face. “Umm...cold…” The man looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall near by. It almost 12…He thought as he stood up.
“Let’s go to you bed then.” He whispered very gently, hoped that it won’t wake this little boy up from his dream time. He took his left arm out of his red kimono and carefully with both arms scooped the boy up from the sofa; and carried him like a little child. He was surprised when the boy put his tiny arms around his neck and snuggling his face on left shoulder and facing his neck, breathing softly over it. This made Auron felt a little uncomfortable but happy at the same time. This boy was so adorable, so naïve, and so innocence. He walked down the small hallway toward the boy room and carefully put him on the bed. He covered the small frame with a blanket up to the boy chin. He placed a soft kiss on Tidus forehead and said, “Have a nice dream, Kid, and Happy Birthday.” His voice was soft and gentle as a whisper of a calm wind. Auron, then, quietly went out of the room without noticing a small smile on the boy face.
