Prologue:
Vincent was in utter shock as he stood in the doorway to Cid’s room. Cloud had plastered himself over the raging pilot trying to hold him down. Bright blue eyes caught crimson and pleaded for help. Ebony locks of hair fell onto the raging mans face as Vincent latched on to his right arm.
“What is going on Cloud.” But the swordsman was too busy trying to tie the pilot down. There was a manic gleam in Cid’s eyes that frightened Vincent and made him wonder what had happened to his pilot. After Cloud had secured his arms and legs he motioned for the gunner to follow him. They made their way into the small kitchen of Cid’s small Rocket Town house and took a seat. Cloud’s blue eyes fluttered shut softly but his features told Vincent everything.
“It seems that Cid has made some very important and dangerous people mad. I have been watching him as you have asked for the last six months and it was only two months ago when I began to see the signs. Vincent you were right, he’s in too deep.” Turning his head away from Cloud he sighed hearing Cid’s screams coming from the bedroom. Pain flared up in his chest as his heart crumbled to pieces.
“Vincent, what are you planning to do?” Crimson eyes met with Cloud’s.
“Save him.”
